So, I'm trying to unlock the Assassin specialization for my Inquisitor and I have met all the objectives except for "Craft the Knife". Sadly I have no idea how to go about this last step. There's no crafting recipe to my knowledge, and the journal does not lend itself to being helpful. Can anyone point me in the correct direction on how to fulfill this last part of the quest?
Edit: It was requisitions the whole time. Ugh....if the journal would have been just a bit more informative. Meh!

need help with assassin guild leaders cannot find them
The book was what I was missing and it was driving me nuts. The quest said it was available from the book merchant in Val Royeaux "if" it wasn't available from one of the followers. The merchant didn't have it and I couldn't find it until I found it beside Cole in Skyhold. Yea, I'm stupid, ehe. Done and done, I'm now an Assassin.
The guild leaders all spawn in Crestwood. Just go to the 3 areas mentioned in the quest and you'll run into them.
To craft the knife do like the op said, look in requisitions and you'll see the Murder Knife. There is no crafting recipe. I got it done at a requisition table in a camp in Crestwood, zoned back to Skyhold and after talking to Heir it was done.

Im totally stick on this one now. I have found the Assassin in the Black Fens area twice now and in two different areas, but both times he vanishes before I can kill him.
I've spent the past hour trying to find him again and I can't locate him at all. I have been all around the area, even near the dragon. Anyone have any ideas, or know how to abandon quests so I could try again from the beginning?
Hi im stuck on the last part of (Way Of The Assassin) when it comes to getting the totems i have 2/3 they keep spawning in The Black Fens but they are not dropping i've been to the other two places to see if they would spawn there but they never do........if anyone has ideas what i could do that would be fantasic

same here two different places only he doesn't dissappear he just doesn't drop the totem
I received the first Assassin's Weapon token in the Western Approach. I hadn't unlocked Crestwood as an area yet. Is it possible they show up elsewhere in the game?
