How do you check if the Keep import is correct?

It seems there's no way to actually CHECK the Keep's import data from the start up of the game. At least I couldn't find a way. So right now I'm about 9.5 hours into the game, and I just hit my first codex entry about a previous game, and it seems that instead of my male human Warden who romanced Morrigan and went through the Eluvian with her, I have a fricking female dalish elf--the "you have no import" canon. What the f*ck. Is there any way this can be changed? Because I'm about to restart this playthrough all because of a sh*tty online app.

EDIT: I have to start a new game because of that stupid app. My question is, and I really hope someone has an answer--how do I check if the import is correct? There's no list of choices when you download the import (right after the gender/class selection), so I have no way of knowing if it worked or not.

Basically the only way is to talk to Varric at the first chance you can.  The option to talk about hawke is there, and if what he says about hawkes friends matches your import, it worked, if it doesn't, then it didn't.

I guess you just have to trust that the date is correct, I really wished they showed you the choices too though, they did this in dragon age 2 which showed you a list of who died and who became king...

When you export a world state from the Keep they get timestamped.

Mine didn't import correctly. And I don't really want to remake a character just to fix it... but I'm also worried it's gonna kick me in the butt later. Argh.

I'm not sure but I had a red flag in my head when Varric mentioned Carver instead of Bethanny. So just judging off that, I'm pretty sure my import is wrong. I only had one Keep file so I'm at a crossroads of restarting and trying again or just sucking it up. I really like my Femquisitor and I'm positive I'll mess up a remake haha

if only they had some face code implemented or something..

I wrote down which slider goes where in case I have to restart for some reason, sometimes paranoia can be a good thing ^_^

This happened to me too. It mentioned Carver being alive instead of Bethany. It seems to think Carver lived, even though I was a rogue. I went back and checked the keep, and it says carver died, bethany became a grey warden and she lived. I hope it's a minor glitch.

You can check whether the import was successful immediately after starting the game (or maybe after char creation, but certainly before you first gain control) by logging into the Keep, going to the second panel of the world states menu (playthrough world states) and checking the orgins, genders, and classes of Hawke and the Warden in the most recent upload. You can see more details by copying it into an active world state and viewing the tapestry.

If no playthrough world states are present then you likely have some issue with your console account not being associated with your Origins account.

This was already addressed in several other threads, from the Keep forums and Keep Twitch streams:

Check the timestamps.

I'm sorry if I sounded rude :) but with the actual version of the Keep, once you export a wolrd state for DA:I, it gives it a precise timestamp, which you can also check in DA:I when it loads the world state.

If they match, then you've imported your desired world state.

Cheers!
