We need to have more room to zoom out. Perhaps we also need the option to zoom out without entering tac mode! If the option is already there, please let me know. I have been trying to get used to panning the cam down further to the ground to gain more fov. I just feel that we need to be able to get further out with our cams. It doesn't have to be world of Warcraft far out panning, but, at least another 20 feet

I feel that the combat system in this version of DA is the worse of the three. Like the OP, I don't feel like I can get a good tactical view of the combat because it seems that Bioware shorted the 'field' for the camera due to Console limitations.
Switching to 'Controller' actually opens up a completely different, and better, tactical view/camera for you to use; and it's by far a lot better and even shows more information than the Keyboard/Mouse options.
I'll say one thing; I'd love to meet the person that gave the 'nod' on saying that these keyboard/mouse controls are "Up to Bioware Standards" and have a discussion.
