Having to repeatedly go back to camp for potions is an unfun mechanic

Yay, a non-control-related post.

 

Basically, the fact that characters do not heal between engagements forces you to repeatedly go back for potions and then take a long trek back to where you were. This adds a time-consuming unnecessary chore that adds nothing to the game.

 

I don't mind having healing be limited to potions, but the no way to easily replenish potions and heal up between battles seems like an unfun mechanic.

 

I feel like the game would lose nothing if between battles, you could just click one button and instantly replenish your potions. How is it inferior to having to travel all the way back to camp and retrace your steps going back out?
