Personally I would just like to play the bloody thing, like in seeing people's faces and armour and ****... that's just way too much to ask it seems. I'm being *gasp* a horrible drama queen asking for *gasp* decent graphics.
Anyhoo, just to update peeps, this happened about half an hour ago, I'm still bickering.
Oh, btw I also sent a tweet about it to Gameinformer. Funnily enough they haven't a peep about DAI in their "old gen console swansong" article here... http://t.co/IyWu0Tzr66
Oh my gods, that tweet is just too perfect~

Absolutely true EA released it last gen as a money grab.
Everyone of your issues are across all the platforms. (and i agree with most of them)
But to have a thread catering to ten year old systems is a joke.
Given the number of views, number of replies, number of pages, the fact that Bioware has even bothered to respond in the thread, and the fact that it still exists and was not locked (or simply removed), is evidence that a thread dedicated to last-gen systems is hardly a joke. It is no more a joke than the thread dedicated to PC Concerns. Even though I play on Xbox 360 and am therefore not directly impacted by PC specific issues, I would not post in that thread telling people to quit complaining about the Keyboard and Mouse controls or other PC specific issues. There would be no point, it would be immature on my part and it would only come across as antagonistic.
Bottom line is, Bioware should have implemented proper controls (for all supported systems) and in that aspect (among others) PC players were negatively impacted; more than Console players. Both threads express legitimate concerns that Bioware should at least make an effort to address (which they are doing in some instances), if for no other reason than to generate good will with those impacted by the issues which would likely lead more people to continue to support Bioware and actually recommend Bioware's products to others (which, of course, leads to more money for EA / Bioware and its shareholders).

When are you ANCIENT console player going to realize your part of the problem with this game?
To satisfy the tears that would have flowed if this game was not released on your systems is the reason us players with systems designed before 2004 had to settle on all kinds of crap.
GOD give it up....
Yes I'm sure that DAI is full of fetch quests, lacks story and character content, hair and everything is clipping, PC doesn't have proper auto-attack etc. because of old gen. Yes, of cource that is the reason why there is problems in DAI! It isn't Bioware's fault, the old gen is chaining them so much that they can't even design hair, dresses for balls and better female animations that aren't overly feminine and they have to reuse male animations for female characters! It's most likely old gen's faults that straight male gamers don't have more than 2 LI's as well!

life is a fun thing: today the xbox 360 and ps3 are considered garbage (as well as the people who own them). Years ago the xbox 360 and ps3 were considered gods and the pc garbage. In a few years, when the xbox two or PS5 come, the xbox one and ps4 that are considered gods today, will be the new garbage ..

It's not always like that. Look at the snes or the genesis : Nowadays, they are overpriced. But the games on the new gens are so dependant of the servers (constants updates, day one patches, heavy place of the multiplayer) that ten years after their "death" the games will be totally unplayable.

Such is the way of life for every console. It goes in turn with the "retro" philosophy. Like Keitaro said, the snes and genesis go for insane prices these days, and in fact, so does the ps1 and ps2. Once a new geneartion arrives, the old one is looked down upon as garbage, but then in the future, a generation or two ahead, those same consoles suddenly become beloved again, and people are spending insane amounts for them just to be able to play their old favorite games on them. Such is the future for 360/ps3. You wait until Xbox Three or PS6 comes out, then people will be clawing at ebay and amazon looking for the lowest deals...

FYI, I play DAI on Xbox 360 and would have been perfectly fine with Bioware not releasing DAI on last-gen systems at all, if Bioware believed that the technical issues were simply too insurmountable to deliver a quality gaming experience to last-gen players who purchased DAI for Xbox 360 / PS3. I would have been somewhat disappointed, but would have understood. Most reasonable people, who post in this thread, would as well. It is called being a mature adult. And using a new game Engine (Frostbite) that was designed primarily with FPS games in mind (as a long-term cost saving measure) certainly didn't help. Choosing to implement Multiplayer, for the 1st time in the franchise, also didn't help. Multiplayer is the likely to blame for the 8 slot SP / 4 slot MP skill limitation. However, Bioware chose to develop and release DAI for PC, current-gen and last-gen.
How is multiplayer to blame for the limited ability slots?

Glad to be of service, lol. As for marriage, that depends: do you like pina coladas or getting caught in the rain? Bonus points if you get the reference. Incidentally, my first post in response to Wbino's initial post blaming us "ANCIENT console players" (Panda quoted Wbino's 1st post immediately above your's) for being part of the problem has been mysteriously deleted. I am only 43 years old, which is hardly ANCIENT, but I digress...For the record, I didn't delete it, received no warning from a Moderator or any indication it would be deleted. Well, at least I got to say my peace on the matter and some here were able to briefly see it. I also noticed that Wbino's initial somewhat antagonistic post was also deleted. In case Wbino reads this, I didn't report it.
I guess the basic point I was trying to make, with my response to Wbino, is that if you are unable / unwilling to be supportive (which is certainly your right), at least have the decency to not make a bad situation worse by going out of your way to antagonize a group of people who express legitimate concerns with the game, who furthermore acknowledge that you may have different but equally legitimate concerns with the game, even if your experience differs from theirs...

How is multiplayer to blame for the limited ability slots?
Admittedly, it is only a theory I have that Multiplayer (primarily) limits the number of available ability slots. I would argue that Console (read: Controller) support is a secondary limiting factor. Limiting the number of ability slots is more of an issue for MP, since during MP you cannot have a control system that would result in the game effectively pausing or an interface that obstructs a significant part of the visible area. In order to accommodate a larger number of assignable skills (at least on Consoles or on a PC where a Controller is being used), a radial menu would likely have to be implemented. However, this could potentially obstruct a significant part of the visible area. While a radial menu certainly would be fine for SP, even if bringing up the radial menu caused the game to pause while the player selected a skill to use, such a menu would be an issue for MP. This would be an issue both due to the screen area required as well as the delay between bringing up the menu, selecting a skill, closing the menu and having the skill execute. Limiting the number of assignable skills to 4 in MP requires no such menu and only requires 4 buttons on the Controller. Granted I don't understand why the 8 slot limit of SP was not also made available to MP, since 8 assignable slots is also achievable without requiring a radial menu. Perhaps Bioware wanted to leave room to potentially increase the number of assignable skill slots from 4 to 8 (in DAMP), at some point in the future, if fan feedback justified such a decision.

Wait, that is what ALL trolls do, my mistake, a thousand apologies.
The only thing trolls should be fed is the business end of a nice warhammer, preferably Trollsbane (looks like it is time for a trip to the Reach, eh?). As deadly as it is shiny, and guaranteed to silence any troll instantly and permanently with a lovely metal SPLAT. ![]()

@Poisd2Strike - I agree with you that the limitation was a delibarate design choice so as to integrate the multiplayer, though there is still people out there (PC players) blaming consoles controller for that 'cause they are the scourge of today gaming and developers should only design games for that superior platform that is the PC ![]()
Also, despite been older than you, I don't feel a day older than 25 and certainly not ancient....
Back to the issue at hand, has anyone downloaded patch 5 and 6 on their 360? I'm holding on the download as it looks like it has broken things on the newer platforms, beside not been (mentally) able to go through another PT 'cause of chores.

I have Patch 5 (but not 6 yet) for DAI on Xbox 360. Patch 5 (or perhaps 4, but I think it was 5) broke the auto-focus when you switch between characters. So now I have to manually move the camera to find the character I want to switch to. Normally this is not too much of an issue. It becomes an issue during combat, especially when attempting to pause combat and assign actions. Also, I once again have the Party banter issue (which a previous patch corrected). I also notice fewer loot drops. Hopefully Patch 6 will resolve at least some of these issues. Once I download Patch 6, I will update this post if anything changed...

I found a way to fix the face glitch. That glitch happen to me with Cole so i enter the "Recovery Mode" of the PS3 system and i choose option 4. Then the glitch was fixed. This is a good temporary fix, we need a patch for this Bioware.
