Fable so far has been a pretty x-box exclusive series (with the exception of PC), which is a same because I really wish I owned a copy of Fable2 (which they never release for PC).

Alright thank you, I have the other games but since I never pay much attention to what is or is not on consoles I don't own I wasn't sure. Well leat the Xbone looks to be a little bit cheaper.

Edit: If you do have an xbox I would recommend getting the game if you really want it still the copy I have was barely 3$

I unfortunately don't own an xbox. My brother had one, so I played the game on that. But when I left home, the PS2 was my system, so that came with me and all the xbox games stayed with him. And I don't see the point in buying a whole other console just to play a few games I don't have.

I miss Halo...

Pardon my interrupting but is Fable Legends only on the Xbone? I was thinking of originally getting a PS4 but I'd get an Xbone for Fable Legends in a heart beat.

Lionhead Studios is a division of Microsoft, so yeah Fable has always been an xbox exclusive and always will be - till Microsoft releases another console at least.

Oh is that why the new xbone mega bundle is with all the Halos? Nice, didn't know it was an exclusive. I saw that bundle, not a bad deal if you like the Halos, it's got the xbone and THE ENTIRE Halo series. Never played that one, so I wasn't touched, but it sure sounds like a good deal for someone who likes the Halos.

I figured the difference between old/new gen was night and day, but that is fairly astonishing. Now I really want to upgrade...

If I was going to upgrade to new gen though, I would have to go with the XBOXOne, I can't afford a PS4 and a USED copy of DAI, unfortunately..

I have NEVER even played on a XBOX before, so I am really not sure if it is a good idea.

Like Heidirs said, there's not much of a difference, controls-wise, the main differences are in the exclusives. PS has exclusives from Sony if I'm not mistaken and Xbox has exclusives from Microsoft. Depends on which games you like better, really. And all that jazz about the micro-differences in benchmarks etc, meh. I don't care about those, they are so miniscule that I wouldn't ever bother taking them into serious consideration. However, it seems that PS4 is generally getting shafted of late as I've noticed in several outlets, and I really couldn't say why...

I liked the first Halo, and that's the only one I would ever purchase, if I get the chance to. Halo2 was okay for me. And Halo3 was on LSD in a very literal sense. I still have no idea what was going on with that game. Never touched the rest of the series.

But my brother and I played the heck out of co-op mode on Halo 1. I would love to start that up again. Such fond memories.

I've played nearly all the systems. There's not that much of a difference gameplay wise, imo. Just got to watch out for console exclusive games (see Fable example above).

That is good to hear, just been a long time coming playing PS3, I am just so used to it. The controller scheme will take some getting used to, but that shouldn't be a issue (N64 and Dreamcast seemed to have similar layouts, and I played both of those systems quite frequently).

I would love to play Fable, it seems like quite an interesting game series. XBOX also got a TON more DLC for Oblivion than PS3 did (All we got was SI/KOTN). Not sure if I would have access to older titles like that from XBOXOne but it would certainly make my decision easier.

Yeah, I think we got the AC and A few Rockstar exclusives through Sony, but I am keeping my PS3 anyway (I actually have 2, one has a broken disc drive, haha) so I am not really worried about that. I agree, the differences between Xbox and PS3 seem to come down to what games you get exclusives for, and very little more.

It has just been a LONG time since I have played anything other than a PS3, is all. Might be interesting exploring a new platform, since its something that is completely foreign to me, and therefore a new experience (as I said I would love to play Fable).  ^_^

Hm, really? Have not noticed that on this side of the pond. Tis odd, for sure.

Well, don't set your horses free yet about Fable Legends, it might just turn out to be a complete flop. First off, it's multiplayer and requires a running Xbox Live Gold subscription, dunno what's the PS equivalent, but it's doing my nut in that I suddenly need a sub to play single player. So, we'll see about FL in due time really. I don't intend to get Gold sub for anything, but we'll see. Might make an exception for it, it depends on what the settings will be once it's out.

Damn well thats what I get for not checking back out on it after reading about it once and getting my sights set on it. Needing to gold sub shouldn't be a problem maybe but the MP thing worries me well I got time to think on it. Sorry know you aren't talking to me but I have a hard time shutting my trap when it comes to most things Fable related.

No worries. It won't be exclusively MP, it will most definitely have SP, but you're in a group with AI group members. Not that this would be an issue really. My biggest problem is the gold sub. I detest subscriptions. I detest having something bleeding me recurrently.

I have a yearly gold subscription and it cost me less than £3 per month. The benefit of having one, beside access to various apps, is on the free games you get monthly (I got the last Tomb Raider for example) and the weekly sales and random offers/discount (I got DKS for a pittance just recently). All in all is not a bad deal.

Also, try the Halo games, I particularly reccomend the second which alternate between the Chief and the Arbiter showing the two sides to the story.

I'll see how much that thing costs monthly, and if there's any return for it. I'm not interested in every little stupid game there is out there, free or not, I usually focus on specific franchises, so if I don't use it at all, what's the point, see? But, when the time comes, and FL is out, I will at least get a few months to complete the SP game.

I'm probably going to buy a PS4 for my birthday in a week. Mainly because I want to play this game without the tremendous amount of issues I have currently. Also, because I want to play Bloodborne. Lol.

Hmm, it seems like lot of old gen players are abandoning ship and getting DAI on new gen ^^; I wonder if Bioware is still thinking of fixing old gen.. or was it ever in the fix list. I'm going to stick with my old and loyal PS3 and hope Bioware still would fix something.

Don't worry about it, I already hit my first can't-progress-bug on the Xbox One too.... it must be me, I swear... it just hates *me*.  :(

Was this the plan all along? Let the old gen folk rage until they tire out and cave? If it is then that just pisses me off.

Probaply, good for business too to get old gen folks first buy old gen version of the game with full price (normal version is still 70 euros here..) and then buy new gen console when they realise game won't work and buy new version of the game for new gen.

Bioware doesn't even show any regret which is shameful in my opinion. Ubisoft at least apologised over AC: Unity's problems and gave free DLC, Bioware doesn't seem to even acknowledge their game of the year has any problems.

Yeah, I think BW planned this all along, or EA twisted their arm into it. Either way its despicable.

I love my PS3 as well, as I said even if I updraged to a new gen system I would be holding onto my PS3 and not trading it in. I have looked at prices and what not, and decided to wait til next year when prices drop a bit more if I wish to upgrade. Still have plenty to do on my PS3 anyway, as there are a few games I have not played.

Not sure if they are ever going to fix this game for us, seems like they have already swept old gen through the cracks, but even if they do "fix" it for us, what is that going to entail at this point?

My game is broken, I can not do anything in game without a freeze or a lag, and even if I could, I am sure I would run into some game-stagnating bug otherwise..

Absolutely nothing has changed for me after 6 patches, in fact it has actually gotten WORSE.

How many sigs do we have now? 245? That's nigh 300. Drop in the bucket or no, that is significant.

AND NO BLOODY PROGRESS! NIL! ZIP!

Gods...

Well, EAWare if that is how you are going to run things, I have two fingers, two stiff fingers for ya, that you will probably ignore... Tossers!

STILL not going anywhere... they will have to run me out of this forum with pitchforks and torches.

Once again...FIX this BLOODY game, or give us our money back so we can buy a game that actually WORKS.

I have to agree with you, also a PS3 user. After the first two patches, I was experiencing freezes like crazy, and major progression blocks bugs. It made it almost unplayable, tbh, I had to reset my console every 20 minutes or so.

And to make things worse, my console completely died on me about a month or so, due to a faulty lens. Cannot read any game disc anymore. Needless to say, all my games, including Inquisition, have gathered dust quite nicely. Sigh...

Same here, I was worried I was going to burn out my disc drive I had to restart so often (about every 20mins here as well).

That's no good, I feel your pain though, something similar happened to me. My old PS3 actually just stopped reading discs about 6 or 7 months ago (after almost 10 years of use; HD still works though it overheats since the fans don't work properly anymore either).

I bought a new superslim in December, but lost the majority of my save data.  :(

Maybe whenever I get my next gen and I find DAI at a highly reduced price I may buy it for the next gen but I am not going to drop a lot of money on another copy of that game again, I don't hate DAI but I don't feel it was worth the 80$ I dropped on it going to give a few years myself and pick it up when its roughly around 20$ or less.

Same, when I started having serious issues with it and it wasn't reading my disc properly, I actually thought I did the damage from all the restarting. But after close inspection and a lot of searching, found out it is actually the lens. I tried some of the momentary fixes in trying to get it to work (suddenly I was placing my console in every position imaginable, lol...), but that only worked for 2-3 days. Nothing I can do about it now, except get a new console...or upgrade the PC a little.

Damn it, sorry to hear that! :( Mine died after 4 years of usage. Sigh...Ah well, here's hoping I can get the finances to replace it.

Yeah, I figured between constantly restarting FO3, FONV and Skyrim, DAI was the straw that broke the camels back, as they say. It was the lens as well, though (it had already started to overheat at this point, but if I put a small fan on high behind it, it would cool down enough that it wouldn't shut itself off).

Hahaha, I am glad to hear I wasn't the only one turning my PS3 every which way I could trying to get it to read a disc. It never worked for me, though. I have a Mac, and until I upgrade my video card I won't be able to play any high-end games, and many titles aren't available for Mac as well.

All my original Skyrim DA and ME data.. GONE, but oh well, I have gotten over it (for the most part  :P). I bought my new PS3 on credit, so I am still paying it off. Didn't have enough to pay for it in full, unfortunately. Hopefully you are able to afford a replacement soon, fingers crossed.  ^_^

I am awfully sorry to hear that.  :(

Surely it is this game's inferiority, and not you. If anything, it hates us all.  ;)

Doesn't seem to matter the platform, it is a roll of the dice if it will work. More damning evidence this game is incomplete and in no way deserves to be given the immense praise it has been, or a GOTY title, but a thorough scrubbing and some SERIOUS fixes.

I've been reading in the EA forums that people across platforms happen to have this conversation freeze issue, only it usually disappears or resets when you reload or something, mine is unfortunately there to stay... anyway, yeah, i tend to think that problems like these are cross-platform and are TOTALLY THEIR FAULT, and they should fix them, end of story.

Oh, btw, do the old gens have a choice for sutitle size now? I happened to notice that now on my xbone, while I didn't have it when I played it on the 360.

Bioware would fix DAI's old-gen issues but have recently begun using the 1 test PS3 unit and 1 test Xbox 360 unit they have been allotted as 'book ends' in their Corporate HQ's library.  If the devs use them for actual testing (that's crazy talk), what will become of the books?  Priorities, people, priorities...#SaveTheBooks

Yes, it came with patch 5. It changed only subtitle sizes either, not other texts like quests texts, wartable texts, dialogue wheel texts, codex texts etc. so it's just small fix.
