It's really frustrating to pay 70 € from game that you can't play! I can put aside the fact that game looks horrible in almost every way. Biggest problem for me is text sizes. I have no clue what i should do in missions and i miss many dialogues. I hope that something can be done. I know there is many people with same problem.

 

I have good eyesight and decent 40" full HD tv and i don't have same problem with other games. Oh, and console is Xbox 360.

 

Lot of people are having problems with text size. I think it shouldn't be too hard to fix either so I hope it's one of things they look into ASAP ^^

I got the complete audio off bug today. I tested it a bit, at least in my case a savefile gets 'corrupted' without sound and after that every savefile You load doesn't have sound. To fix it, make a New savefile (even from the one that is bugged), turn off the console and then restart the game on the new savefile. I deleted the bugged one and loaded one previous of it and it worked fine.

The most annoying problem I'm finding with the 360 version is the very, very tiny text.  I use an SDTV, can't afford an HDTV, and the text is far too small.  For a game like this with so much lore and text all throughout the game to not even be readable is pretty stupid.  Do they think that gamers can't read so they don't bother to make the text readable and have options to improve text size to make it readable?

 

Surely they could find a way to fix that, there's no excuse for it.

 

Also the hair colours in character creation for female characters are unusual, I tried to find black hair but it looks more blue than black.

 

I love the game a lot but the tiny text makes it really hard to enjoy the lore and read the information for quests and the dialogue wheel.  I've got excellent eye sight but the size of the text is beyond any kind of readable size.  And the hair colours, especially for black hair, needs work.

I'm 25 hours in and now it keeps on crashing. PS3 version, digital.

I crashed in these instances : During the Haven attack, while kissing Dorian, at the war table, while gathering a single elfroot in the Hintelands, while autosaving in Skyhold, and while trying to close a rift in Emerald Graves. 

 

I hate having to hard reset my ps3. Never has a game made me do this more than Inquisition.

It's frustrating because I love the game, but if the game ends up breaking my console, I'll have to admit that it's a really poor product. 

 

I didn't pay $70 to break my ps3 or be a Beta tester, did I?

Hmm once again hard freeze, by rotating the camera while autosaving. 

At this point, I think EA or Bioware should give next gen vouchers so we get the game we paid for when we upgrade to next gen consoles.

It feels like DAI went gold too fast especially for old gen consoles. They didn't even have time to even include scars..

I hope that Bioware fixes these problems or I will be very angry this game is supposed to better than DA2 but so far it not

Could you guys state what version of console do you have ?(year, GB and slim/non-slim etc.). I'm wondering if the issues are related to different models since disk and digital version of the game both have same issues.

 

 

PS3,  I think it's the "Fatty" and I'm playing on a disc.

Here are the issues I've had so far since I got the game for the PS3 on Nov 20th:

 

- Had the game freeze on me 3 times so far, 2 of the during a manual save while i was exploring. Meaning the game will delete my save file and I have to continue from an autosave at an earlier point

- Loss of sound during combat, sometimes I don't even get the sound back and the game will continie to be mute until you reload the game or visit another area

- Sometimes when visiting a new area, My companions will not use any of their abilities. Some fixes I found for this were; reloading your game save, Go to Haven and return back again, or by changing party members via the field camps. These will only work sometimes, other times I have to completely change my preffered team in order to actually have a team that uses their abilities.

- I can't accept any missions, I can talk to the NPC giving the missions, but I cant enter a conversation with them. The conversation wheel doesn't show up at all.

- In Redcliffe I somehow lose my facial hair at a certain camera angle.

- The loading times are bad enough, but why does the loading screen go black midway? Thus not giving us enough time to read the codexes.

- Major framerate drops, especially during a rift battle.

- Major lag during combat. In some cases in using abilities, sometimes your ability appear/work 3-4 seconds after casting/using them.

- If you have 2 missions in the same area (close to each other), completing one of them might glitch out the other one. thus unable you to complete it. A way to fix this is to simple save your game and reload that save.

Have we had any word from Bio on the last gen versions? They say a pc patch is comming but so far seem to be ignoring the ps3/360 versions like were all invisible!

Worst bug imo is the inability to load up saves in the hinterlands. I could load an auto save that is a loss of a hour or so in the hinterlands but then what? Map to the beginning area and save every 10 months on the off chance that I die? I mean really it is almost a week now since release give us a fix for this game impairing bug. Poor graphics I could handle knowing it is on the last gen system. Unplayable game I can't handle after spending $75 on the game. I tell you I will not be buying another big game on my 360. From now on will just be on my pc....

This game was absolutely horrendous on my PS3. I had to return it because of all the issues I had. I'm just going to wait until I can afford a PS4 to play it. This is ridiculous I was really looking forward to playing this too. I got this game on Digital and I have PS3 slim. I think I got it around... 2010? But yeah my Inquisitor looks amazing compared to everyone else lmao. Audio skips and there's lag every 5 seconds. I tried gritting my teeth through it for an hour but gave up afterwards. It felt really unfinished for last gen.  :/

Has anyone tried reloading the game on the Xbox 360? If so did it fix the loading crashes by chance?

I have PS3 slim from 2010 that has 320 GB.. I haven't bought the game yet since I'm afraid it wouldn't work on my system ^^; Maybe after some patches..

Nice to see you tryign to get Bio and EA`s attention Panda ive done a similer topic on the tech forums, so I hope between both we can finally get SOMTHING of a feedback regaurding the total state of the ps3/360 versions!

I'm at the end of my rope. I know it's only been a few days, but I'm finding it really hard to be patient waiting for a patch. I know it'll take a while for one to be made... I've just never been so hyped. Now I'm upset and this disappointment completely killed my Dragon Age high. There's no way it could've been playtested! I don't believe it. If BioWare wanted us to have an experience, they really should have spent more time fixing everything to make it at least enjoyable.

 

Sorry, I know my reply is just another echo in this thread, but I needed an outlet.

I tried getting their attention by making the first large thread on this board about the last gen version's problems, but my thread was suddenly locked with the cited reason being "off topic". Posting about major issues for the last gen versions on the feedback board was apparently not on topic for this board. I suspected censoring, EA was worried I was driving away customers and I was the only one making a stink at the time... So they thought to just shut my thread down with a nonsense reason that didn't even make sense.

The patches are highly needed and I kinda have my own cow in the ditch.. lol that idiom won't probaply work in english ^^; I mean want to play this game too so best is to combine efforts here and keep asking BW to fix the game, maybe they finally will do sth for us old gen players too. Though I'm sure they will eventually, it will just take some time. I just wonder how many issues they are going to fix cause there is lot.

Actually there is one tweet by Mike Laidlaw that I have in OP where he's saying there will be patch for last gen and issues are being investigated. So there is hope

EA/Bioware deliberately released an unfinished, barely tested game, it was not a mistake, it was not a random occurrence... it was a deliberate act releasing a fucked up experience on PC and last gen consoles. They fooled me and many others this time, but they lost a future buyer in the process.
