Just bought the ps3 version, it was working ok till i got to hinterlands...then it started stuttering like crazy, and crashing whenever i moved while auto saving, also there's a ton of texture pop in, although that doesn't bother me as much as the game crashing now and again, ohh and that damned stuttering, seriuously it's been almost a year since they released this game, and it seems as if, Bioware just doesn't care about those of us who payed to play it on old gen, how is it that there are 111 pages of people, customers, paying customers complaining about their product's bad performance, and still they don't even bother to give answer.....is this seriously the way hey conduct bussiness?

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but you are playing a new game on hardware that is around 7 or 8 years outdated. DA:I is not a very stable game, I have a new custom PC built December 2014 with the latest hardware and I do get stability issues and hit a few bugs and even had the game crash before (not often, maybe once or twice) but this is a $2500 PC. I can only imagine that it would run abysmally on console. I'm really not sure what Bioware were thinking with DA:I, they keep saying it's a PC optimised game, yet the controls and camera really aren't PC friendly.

TL;DR this game was optimised for hardware that some consoles cannot handle and it's simply because the hardware is too outdated for the game's mechanics and engine.

The game runs extremely well on the Xbox One, other than load times.  I haven't had a single crash in weeks, though I suspect they're still possible.  The older generation, though, did not get the same level of technical TLC during development.  All one has to do is play the spectacularly behaving GTA V on the 360 to know that Gen 7 can handle the scope of such games.  But it does take considerably more talent and effort to make a game like DAI happen there in a competent way.  Gen 8 and uber-expensive PCs don't take nearly as much.  My feeling is that they've put a fork in the whole project.  It's done.  If the results are unacceptable, and you really want this game, move on to a newer platform.

You're not rude, so don't worry, i see your point, still, it's a simple matter quality control, if the expierience of the final product doesn't hold up on all platforms (i'm not talking of visuals or resolution, i'm talking of the game being playable, and it runing decently) then don't release it for said platform, sure, it's expected for this game to not be on par with current gen and pc "graphics" wise, yet it is expected of it to run, to work, and when you're playing a game and it crashes every time you move while it's autosaving, that means it's not working like it's supposed to. Games like GTA V running smooth as butter on ps3/xbox 360 prove that last gen can handle large scoped games, hell it can even do it with out loading screens, as c0bra951 said:

My complaint has more to do with bioware not being honest from the begining and releasing it on last gen in the first place, had the game been developed for last gen and then ported to current gen, we would not be having these issues, and things would've worked for all of us, all platforms, just like it did for AC 4, GTA V, TLoU, and every other game that's been upscaled and remastered from ps3/360 to PC/Ps4/Xone, but instead, those of us with old gen (who still surpase in numbers those with current gen, albeit not for long) are left with a half broken game, whose performance is sub par to other open world releases for said platforms.

As for the main issue i've had whith it, the game stutter and crashes, for those who are interested at all, the crashes can be avoided by not moving while autosave happens, and the stutters seem to subside a little if you keep the "account" options all turned on, it doesn't seem to matter if you are actualy online or not, according to the tests i did today with my ps3 disc copy, all that matters is that they are turned on.

I don't think Bioware has fixed anything PS3 and XBOX360 related or if they are they haven't said it in patch notes. They have improved stability and other stuff, but no info how. I have some stuttering at times and crashing too. For me the crashing become much rarer once I got out from Hinderlands and usually in late game I have none. But I encountered lot of crashing and freezing if I moved in Hinderlands while game was loading sth.. and sometimes when it wasn't and I was just moving around normally. Most of time it's hard freezes as well that make your console unresponsive, sometimes I have to even take some cords away to shut down it and restart whole thing then. But, yup, better for me when I'm out of Hinderlands and not unplayable there either, just annoying (playing on PS3).

Is there an option to disable auto saving? I think it contributes to my system crashes.

Hmmm, I know that with GTA it was a console release first and foremost. The PC release came out just this year in April. That's over a whole year just creating a good PC version of the game and it lacked things like heists. Rockstar also lack this disease called EA. I wouldn't be surprised if they made this game with next gen and PC on mind and then some dude was like "we can make more money if we release on old gen too!" and then Bioware groaned because it will be way too much work to get it running well on old gen and EA said "well you can blame it on PC gamers." hence the 'this is a PC optimised game' comments from Bioware and yet it feels hollow and a little lazy and porty. Right? Right.

Probably what happened although this title was in development for 4 years, i think they started right after DA2 so making it "next gen" might have been something they decided later, but it's funny cause i had the opportunity of playing the game in a friends pc, and honestly comparing combat to DAO and DA2 this one feels odd with out the deep tactic mechanics the previous versions had, also when in tactic view every geometry gets in the way, not game breaking or anything just funny, any ways, yeah i'm pretty certain that EA is responsible for the ps3/360 version being in the state that it is, and also for it not being fixed, it just feels so frustrating, specially seeing how more and more games come out with mayor stability issues do to poor judgement from the "suits" at big publishers. As for GTA V and it's pc version, honestly i have to respect rockstar sure it took them for ever to release pc version, but they did an outstanding job, not only does it look and run beautifuly, but they also managed to add in some extra stuff to it to make it more appealing, i mean look at what happened with Batman Arkham Knight on pc, regardless of the platform i'd rather have a developer take it's time making the game the best it can for it's platform, rather than it come out in a deplorable broken state.

So I'm happy to say that I've put over 200 good into the PS3 version with nearly zero problems. A rare crash, that's it. Already did a full playthrough with all judgements done and everything without a hitch. Even texture loading wasn't a problem except for the one guy in the intro who is ALWAYS lacking textures.

It really is weird how varying different people's copies are.

There wasn't before and I don't think it has been added either. Haven't looked into options for while thought.

It would take away some crashes.

Ok so here's a new one, I updated my game today to patch 1.09, and guess what? after going into the black emporium to buy some ****, i noticed i had no sound and the antiquarian didn't load correctly, so i went back to skyhold, to see if maybe leaving and reloding would solve the issue, well it didn't work not only did the antiquarian not load correctly ever again, but also the sound FOR THE ENTIRE GAME got fucked, so no sound, i tryed restarting but leaving the game rebooted my ps3, anyways, after 2 restarts i managed to get the audio back, i won't risk going back to the emporium though, let's hope this is the only "new" bug this "patch" comes with.....

Wow, I just saw the post about DLC being stopped for last gen versions and I am shocked. Even though I bought DA:I on PS4, this is truly a d*** move, especially when you know you might deliver content down the line that might be incompatible for these systems. BW still released the last gen versions anyway just to squeeze as much money out of the fanbase. If this is how you are going to treat your customers going forward, I have no words left for this "company."

Yeah, seriously. This is a really shitty way to treat your customer base - WE have to shell out four hundred fifty bucks on a new system AND game, so that THEY save a few bucks on development. Because for most people, the last gen systems still work fine, and since there's no reverse compatibility (even with promises of future compatibility), a lot of people are probably like I am, not willing to trade in a perfectly functional system and an entire library of games just for the sake of one game and its DLC.

I mean, I get no cross-platform transfers as a programing limitation imposed between Microsoft and Sony, but dropping all future DLC for last gen players is just spitting in our faces. They chose to make Inquisition a cross-generation release, if they were just gonna do this, they shouldn't have bothered. Either commit to it or don't, but this? This is jerking us around.

Having to buy the game again really gets to me, like I'd give them more money after being screwed over.

I did new thread about it: http://forum.bioware...-xbox360-folks/

It's very unfair. However maybe if we all request to get free copies of PS4 and XBONE versions of game when we decide to upgrade Bioware would realise how unfair it is to treat us like that only, because we have older consoles. So if you have time stop by there and let them know your thoughts.

This is a big pile of bull ****, seriously, i got my version on the ps3 and **** i'm frustrated, it's an awesome game, but such a shitty port, the stutters, the crashes, the texture pop in, the MODEL pop in, I mean the textures, sure i'll give a blind eye to that but model not loading properly on a ****** cutscene WTF? now the latest patch fucked up the sound in the whole game after going to black emporium, and this, this beautiful piece of shinning happy news.....Not only are they not fixing all the obvious issues with the game that make it almost unplayable, but now they're literaly leaving us out of the next dlcs? that is just wrong! but in the end I don't even care any more, I haven't payed for that yet, what I paid for is the vanilla game, and it works like ****, so if you have any decency Bioware, fix it, man up, and ****** fix it, you chose to put this piece of trash port on the market, and fool us into thinking it was on par to other open world games for these platforms, while knowing fully it wasn't!, how could you not know? it's ****** evident after the first 10 minutes of playing it?! now you've finished breaking it with patch 1.09, so ****** fix it or give us our ****** money back, we weren't asking for much, just a game that performed on the same level as that of other "last gen" open world games, and you avoided telling us this was not that.

I've been hitting several threads over the fact DLC support is being dropped for 360/PS3. I feel like a broken record, but I feel it needs to be said... repeatedly if need be.

I'm livid as a faithful customer for about ten years now. I and others are being penalized because we refused/could not afford to upgrade? What about some of us who recieved the game from family over the holidays? Not everyone got a spiffy new gen console at the same time.

It's ridiculous they expect a portion of their fans/customers to rebuy a game AND/or new console. We'll I refuse to do business with Bioware now, they don't want my money? Fine. I'll spend it on Bethesda and CD Projekt RED. I might not like the Witcher franchise, but I'll spend money on it just to spite Bioware for this betrayal.

And should I EVER buy a Bioware game it will be used. Should I ever upgrade it will be used.

Haven't posted on this thread for a while but after reading about the DLC announcement, I just had to.

Wow...Dick move.Not cool EA/Bioware...NOT.COOL.

First they decide to release DA:I on old gen probably knowing full well that the port will be bug-riddled, instead of just being plain honest and releasing it to current gen only.

Then the port of course turns out to be terrible, ranging from being a bit buggy to being darn right unplayable.

Now ,they screw over the fans whose old gen copies DID function in an acceptable way by cutting of DLC production and support.

Wow.Just...I can't even.
