Updated OP with link to information of Bioware dropping patch support, it was hidden under multiplayer subforums combat strategy subforum: http://forum.bioware...-going-forward/
It has quite many devs commenting on the issues, but has lot of arguments between them and old gen players and also some ban warnings flying around so.. put your helmet on if you want to travel there? ![]()
It does include information that weekly challenges will still come to old gen multiplayer so I guess that's something? Not really compensation or Bioware showing their good-will though, since it's content we should be entitled to in my opinion anyways. Like DLC's and patches should be as well, being major part of games..
Also updated OP with patch 8 notes which is last patch DAI will have.

Give 360 and PS3 owners a free copy of DA:I either a PC version or New Consoles version so that we don't have to repurchase the game to play the DLCs.

Give 360 and PS3 owners a free copy of DA:I either a PC version or New Consoles version so that we don't have to repurchase the game to play the DLCs.
The free copy would need to be on PC through Origin. Microsoft and Sony control the distribution and have all sorts of red tape that prevents EA from offering a free or heavily discounted game (see Brian Johnson's comments in Multiplayer Thread.
However gaming PC's are even more expensive than a next gen console, so making a free offer on Origin would attract few last gen customers and would be pointless.
Bioware horribly mishandled this fiasco: "Good news - you get to buy a new console AND buy a 2nd copy of the game." If they had been less sneaky and more open about this issue perhaps the backlash would be less:
For example (my hypothetical version of apology):
"Last gen consoles, with their 10 year old technology, were barely capable of running DAI. They could not do scars for example. Bioware has worked for months to get new dlc to get the Spoils of Qunari DLC to work adequately on last gen consoles and has been unable to get it to work properly. Thus Bioware is discontinuing support for last gen consoles and will not offer future DLC on last gen consoles.
Because Microsoft and Sony control distribution of content on their consoles, Bioware cannot offer a free or heavily discounted for next gen DAI on new consoles.
To play future DLC, a 2nd copy of DAI (new or used) must be purchased (typically used price is $20)
Bioware apologizes for the inconvenience this is causing last gen users."

I really dodged a bullet with not buying any DLC for this game. Knowing that we've been dumped prematurely I went ahead and purchased am XBONE version off Amazon for like 20 bucks, I would encourage others to do the same -- don't waste money buying it new.

When I'm out and about in any of the other regions though there is no problems. The graphics is good, movement is fluid, video clips are fine, I can run, jump, turn suddenly in any direction and have no hassle whatsoever. You can't play the game and never be in skyhold though can you.
I just don't get why they would bring it out on 360 if they knew there was problems with it. If the game was only available on Xbox one from the start I would've been really disappointed, but not angry, frustrated and fed-up, which is what I am now. I paid a lot of money for my Xbox and I love it and I really don't want to replace it...... On top of that I paid £49.99 for the stupid game only to find out that I'm going to have to trash it, pack away my pride and joy, spend loads more money to buy a new console, to play 1 game on, and then buy the game again!!! :'(
I feel I need to mention that Dragon Age is probably my all time favourite game and over the years I have bought both 1 and 2 and all the expansions, and the extras on Xbox and PC and have played it so extensively that I needed to replace both my game disks in order to play it again. (Blush) I have turned every friend, family member and acquaintance onto the game and many of them ended up loving it as much as I did. No other role playing game ever came close for me and I've tried them all.
I literally couldn't wait for the release of Inquisition, only to find nothing but frustration and bitter disappointment. So sad when money becomes more important than your loyal fans, without whom you'd not have any of said money to begin with.

Do we even know that a used copy would work in this instance? Given Microsoft's predilections, I thought they were working to make used copies useless? Bioware should have told us up front at the beginning of the game cycle that they had concerns about supporting DLC through the game for 360 and PS3. Informed consent, AT THE START, would have worked for me. Then it really would have been on my head and not theirs. If they did warn us, I didn't see it. Did you?

EA/Bioware should be held accountable for patching last gen games especially if it was released on them. Here in the U.S from a business stand point you'd be held responsible by law to fix or refund a defective product under a FTC(Federal Trades Commission) mandate. as of December 2015 there are still a couple of game breaking bugs that come to mind.
1.The Autosave issue is still not fixed a widespread issue still plaguing all platforms: a potential work around would to update options menu to toggle it on/off
2. Turning in large amounts of items to the creature research table causing crashes on all platforms: Potential work around update inventory to allow you to destroy any items( PC has the only known work around using console commands)
I currently play on pc hoping for better stability in game play but that is still not the case as it is not a hardware problem but a software problem so they have to fix it.
PC using I'm an Alienware Area 51 Intel i7 processor with EVGA GeForce GTX Titan X Superclocked Graphics card
This is the spec for graphic card:
- 1127 MHz Core - Boostable to 1216 MHz
- 3072 CUDA Cores
- Maxwell Architecture
- 12GB GDDR5 vRAM
