First Post on the Forums here, Felt I had to give my experiences On Last Gen up until this point
Hardware: Playing the game on my 250GB PS3 "super slim" fully updated with the latest firmware, and got it when it was released fall of 2012. the game itself is the digital version
Graphics: Don't kill me for this but to be honest I'm actually impressed with how the graphics look considering the scope and size of the game and the hardware its running on. Granted there are some areas that look worse than others ( looking at you Forbidden Oasis
and the trees specifically...look so low res) but when the graphics work for the most part its pretty great, exploring the Dwarven vault in the Hinterlands, Visiting the surprisingly colorful Val Royeaux, Looking out at the sea on the Stormy Coast, standing at the edge of the Swamp in the Fallow Mire as your armor is soaked with rain while thunder rumbles in the distance, and even looking out at the Mountains from your quarters in Skyhold (The draw distances are something else with this game). I think it does its job of drawing you into the Atmosphere.../when/ it works.
Texture Pop ins: Definitely have experienced various texture pop-ins almost too frequently while playing the game /especially/ on npc's and companions when you stop to converse with them, and during some cutscenes. Thankfully this is something that can be fixed with a patch and i'm hoping Bioware does just that
Hair: For me the hair hasn't been Exceptional but its certainly not bad, in fact hair has been an issue across all platforms so we are not alone in that regard. Thankfully Beards and Moustaches have yet to glitch on Blackwall and Dorian. In fact aside from Blackwalls beard occasionally clipping through the top of his armor it looks pretty good
Load Times Have not been bad for me at all, yes it takes longer than the PS4/Xone and PC but it certainly doesnt take up to 30 minutes like some have reported. It usually takes 20-25 seconds. I have noticed however that the screen tears slightly when the game is loading a save file from the start menu. No clue what causes that but it is not a major issue
Freezing/lag/crashing: 37 hours in and the game has froze/crashed on me exactly 3 times ( twice during autosave which admittedly is not good because it locks up the system and i'm forced to hard reset which causes that painfully long file restore process and once when I attempted to rest in a tent while running from an elite bear) The game does tend to lag in areas where there is a lot of activity and NPC's such as Haven, Redcliffe Village, and Skyhold, and Similar to Fallout 3 and New Vegas the longer I play (several hours at the most) the more the game Lags which I usually take as a sign that I need to take a break and let the ol system have a breather
And thats about it so far, i'll be sure and post back here if anything more happens as I go on, I definitely seem to be in the minority when it comes to the problems others are having. Loving the game so far and I truly do hope all the issues my fellow inquisitors are experiencing end up being fixed....
Oh! one other complaint...why is the text in subtitles so dreadfully small???
