to everybody saying that there's no menchone of patching the old gen console version's in that picture

If you actually go back to the original post on page 1, you will see that it was in response to a question about old gen consoles, and they said they will be patching the problem's

Yes, its an official answer to old gen, they will patch it and there looking into the issue's, i think there just patching PC First, since the PC version would much easier to develop and fix due to hardware being more versatile to code for

Just had a response back from Mark Darrah on twitter- they are now aware of the disc unreadable error on the xbox 360 and he's quizzing me on my experience of it. Will keep you guys informed on the upshot of that.

Not really.  It's one things to ignore a forum full of fans with problems, it's another to ignore them when they go after you on twitter.  Even after saying they will patch they were still unaware of a common problem people were having, meaning they haven't even been paying attention to the forums.

If they actually read the forums they would already be aware of it.

Yep this seems to be one of problem, they aren't reading forum nor technical support forum which both have people stating what problem there on what platform, how many people are having the problem and information of the problems too. They seem to be worryingly unknowing about many bugs.

They must be too busy counting their money ;) But on a serious note, is this not just the worse customer care EVER?

Shouldn't we spam this link thread to them then? Since they are so oblivious about it..

I try to not bother them so I tweet about the old gen issues to them one time in day ^^; They haven't answered me though.

One other thing... I don't know if this is a glitch or what, but nobody in the party will use the Revive command in tactical camera mode... they walk over to the unconscious party member and then the command clears itself without them even attempting to wake them up.  It can only be done successfully in real time by the party member I happen to be controlling.

Posting an update here.

-20 hours in. Playing on a 160 GB slim PS3. Obviously enjoying the game immensely.

-Only experienced 1 freeze in 20 hours. It occurred in the desert oasis when attacking a rift.
-Have experienced glitchy rifts, with enemies not spawning. To fix this, I move away from the rift and then go back to it to trigger enemy spawns. In the above freeze, this is what happened.

-At the suggestion of another poster, I have been playing while logged out of the EA server and opted NOT to connect to the internet and share game data with the servers. This has immensely improved game performance.

-Most problematic areas are Haven and the eastern portion of the Hinterlands by the outskirts camp (the framerate is awful here, and I experienced a freeze at this camp). I suspect this is due to the sheer size of the areas and the number of moving objects rendered. Not sure what can be done here except decreasing draw distance or lowering texture detail in these areas.

-I have been maintaining hard saves every hour or two, deleting old files, never saving over files, and never using autosaves or the continue feature from the main menu

-I have not touched the main quest, and have only gone to the Great Coast, Haven, Hinterlands, and the Desert Oasis, so I can't comment on cutscenes. So far the only abhorrent part of the game was the intro.

My experience is that the game is totally playable (and insanely addictive) if you consciously work around some issues, and be careful with saves in laggy areas (Haven and certain parts of the Hinterlands).

Any word on patches? Seems optimization could improve some of these things...

If you read the first post, yes there is word on patch's, they will be patching and optimizing the technical issue's, as for the lag in the wide open area's with alot of activity, the PS3 can easily handle it, reducing textures is absolutely not necessary

All they have to do is optimise how the texture's load between and utilise the PS3 hardware better to pre-load those area's before you reach them specifcally in the memory stack

Add to the list the stuck camera glitch... the ability to unequip accessories would be a decent workaround if the issue with the equipment itself can't be fixed.

Dialogue skipping problems is something that many people have reported on various other platforms too, so it's definitely not an issue limited to last gen only.

The most severe issue to me, so far, is sound skipping during adventuring. Oh, and I froze two more times, all of those in Hinterlands. It seems Hinterlands evoke the most problems, probably because it's the biggest area?

Seriously?  If it's that simple, then why didn't they do this before releasing the game?

Um... and just so you know, this isn't sarcasm at all.  I don't know anything about computers, but if it's a simple fix, why ship the game like this?

Being offline improved it how? Less lag, better and faster loading textures, no audio issues, no glitches?

Having worked in a QA department for various developers, I rarely comment on unfinished games, because I know how painful it can be to get them out the door on time.  Yet I have to say, this really takes the biscuit.  I've rarely seen a game come out this poorly put together, and DA:I will probably stand as a testament on how to make a great game badly for some time.

Graphically, the game does improve the further you progress.  Either that or you stop noticing your eyes bleeding after 30 or so hours.  Similarly, stability seems to improve somewhat over time.  It has gone from my being able to reliably crash the game within the opening 20 minutes, to random crashes, to no crashes in 15 hours (fingers crossed.)  Still plagued by lagging audio, and random bursts of obnoxiously loud noise for no discernable reason.  Lag in the tactical camera, inconsistency with collision detection and mechanics (enemies block you, yet they knock you out the way, etc), terrible collision detection on the terrain (laughable in certain zones, try using Leap Shot in the Western Approaches), the list goes on.

Yet many of these are marginally understandable.  I'm even somewhat forgiving of the unreadable disc on the 360, which has always struggled with certain discs (see DA:O, there are others too.)  What really amazes me is the wealth of bugs tied to the main story and characters.  People sinking into the ground like they're stood in quicksand, conversations taking place in Skyhold that don't take upgrades into account (I've just had an interesting talk with one character over a quiet drink, slap bang in the middle of a sparring match, and as if that wasn't bad enough, one of the combatants heads kept disappearing.)  Every hour I've played has admittedly introduced more and more content, but has also stacked bug upon bug to boot.

So I patiently await the patches, chuckling my way through terrible programming and god awful publishing, with one eye on the news that Ubisoft have just thrown free stuff at people for the shocking state of AC: Unity.  Fingers crossed, eh?

I'm 25 hours in and the crashing is occuring at the same frequency- sometimes every ten minutes, sometimes every couple of hours. Have visited Haven and Hinterlands- obviously, Val Royeaux, Storm Coast, and Fallow Mire- crashes in all those areas.  playing on Xbox 360. Sometimes screen just freezes, most often just stops you from playing with a 'disc unreadable error message'. Disc is prsitine clean though. Tried swapping with store for 2nd brand new disc, tried clearing cache- on both machine and hard drive, 2 different hard drives- one with everything cleared on it- so just Inquisition loaded to it, tried reinstalling game several times, waiving my left leg out of window... now I'm just waiting for Mark Darrah to get back to the response I gave him to the last tweet he sent me.

lol I noticed that too. I'm not sure what's wrong with that. Maybe it is a glitch?

I didn't know this thread existed as I rarely venture outside of certain areas of the forum but the Cassie romance brought me here. The actual romance/intimacy scene is bugged. It doesn't progress unless forced and then at a certain spot it freezes completely. That is asinine.

That isn't the only issue...there are sound pops, the game crashes and freezes TOO much. numerous scenes will not progress unless I try to force them to by pressing square. texture and graphic areas don't collate or populate correctly (at one point, Dorian's fabulous mustache is higher and thinner making him look SO weird yo). PS3 is my console. Physical copy. I pre-ordered...first time ever and every time this thing crashes I'm becoming more and more jaded. it ruins a LOT and there are no acceptable workarounds for a console. NONE. this needs to be fixed. This isn't just a few bugs and I honestly do not know how it was QA'd out the door or why. that is all I have to say on the matter.

(and I also greatly sympathize with the PC community as I hear most of them can't even play the game.)

Okay but shouldn't they have said something already?

As far as I know, no, other then saying they're working on it. In my experience devs state when the patch will be released when they're mostly done with it/done with it.
