Just been messaged by Conal Pierse for a full breakdown of what's been happening with my copy of Inquisition- let's face it trying to give a trouble shoot list to Mark Darrah on twitter was never gonna be easy... I mentioned at the end of the list of specs/problems I gave him that there is a lot of old gen guys who feel they are being ignored- so maybe that'll do some good and make them address us 360/ps3 people directly. Again I will await his and Mark Darrah's responses and let you guys know the outcome.
That's good, I haven't got anyone answering to me XD I guess I'm bad at this ^^;

There are some other audio issues as well, like sound effects playing after I jump/attack/etc. and the sonar "ping" not going off.

Yeah, same here it always scares the %#@$ out of me. One of these days it's goin to give me a heart attack lol, how do you feel about that Bioware you're game is going to kill me one of these days.( PS 3 digital edition for me so it's just not a disk related problem)Is anyone else experiencing a loud "bang" when playing the game? It does it randomly, without warning. It made me jump a few times. I thought there might be something wrong with my TV, but then I realised I only hear the sound when I have DAI running. I'm playing the PS3 (disc) version.

My copy ( PS 3 Digital ) works just fine 99% of the time. Now with that said, on that rare occasion when it does -blam- up it does so spectacularly lol.Everyone seems to be having a really pain in the bums experience with this game dude

Without you starting this thread I would never have dipped my oar into trying to get heard- this is the first time I've even joined the forum- even during the end of ME3 debacle, I just stuck to facebook. This though is obviously different being technical rather than an artistic dispute. Was a really good job you did/ are doing -collating the disparate issues. All I've done is written to more than one guy on the same day with politeness- if they don't manage to fix these game-breaking issues, I guess we'll have to try and persuade as many people as possible to do likewise. No one expects an Inquisition... especially when one turns up in your inbox on mass, asking you why you've released an unfinished game.

Go too options, Account and disable all of the options to connect to EA's servers and Data sharing. My game used to have frame rate drops and freeze every 1 in 3 auto saves doing so has completely solved this problem.Being offline improved it how? Less lag, better and faster loading textures, no audio issues, no glitches?

Believe it or not I have played games in much worse shape than DA:I.Having worked in a QA department for various developers, I rarely comment on unfinished games, because I know how painful it can be to get them out the door on time. Yet I have to say, this really takes the biscuit. I've rarely seen a game come out this poorly put together, and DA:I will probably stand as a testament on how to make a great game badly for some time.
Graphically, the game does improve the further you progress. Either that or you stop noticing your eyes bleeding after 30 or so hours. Similarly, stability seems to improve somewhat over time. It has gone from my being able to reliably crash the game within the opening 20 minutes, to random crashes, to no crashes in 15 hours (fingers crossed.) Still plagued by lagging audio, and random bursts of obnoxiously loud noise for no discernable reason. Lag in the tactical camera, inconsistency with collision detection and mechanics (enemies block you, yet they knock you out the way, etc), terrible collision detection on the terrain (laughable in certain zones, try using Leap Shot in the Western Approaches), the list goes on.
Yet many of these are marginally understandable. I'm even somewhat forgiving of the unreadable disc on the 360, which has always struggled with certain discs (see DA:O, there are others too.) What really amazes me is the wealth of bugs tied to the main story and characters. People sinking into the ground like they're stood in quicksand, conversations taking place in Skyhold that don't take upgrades into account (I've just had an interesting talk with one character over a quiet drink, slap bang in the middle of a sparring match, and as if that wasn't bad enough, one of the combatants heads kept disappearing.) Every hour I've played has admittedly introduced more and more content, but has also stacked bug upon bug to boot.
So I patiently await the patches, chuckling my way through terrible programming and god awful publishing, with one eye on the news that Ubisoft have just thrown free stuff at people for the shocking state of AC: Unity. Fingers crossed, eh?

I wouldn't worry, you will just stress yourself out. They put out like 8 or 9 patches to fix ME 3 and that was at the cost of 40k a patch now they can patch games without the certification fee from Sony they will get to us Old Gen players it might take a month or two but, they will get us after the PC and newer Gen players.i like what you say, i just dont know if they actually gonna do something for us, so far they have ignored us completely, wouldnt you agree? at least in here.

True about not stress-ing, but a month or two? Great... can't play game at all at moment, so hope it'll be a bit sooner than that. Also don't know if Microsoft still charges for them to patch on 360.

Uh... I don't even own the game. I've said several times that I got a bad feeling about the last gen versions and waited a week to see what people thought of the game, and the thoughts from last gen buyers was a loud and clear "AVOID". But I've kept up on this debacle.

Ok, I'm guessing your post about not owning the game was farther back and I missed it my bad. But, I wouldn't call it a debacle it works for some people and doesn't work for others just like Skyrim, Final Fantasy, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas ect. I'm one of the lucky ones and love the game.Uh... I don't even own the game. Haha, I feel you man I'm a P3 player and I remember how long it took Bethesda to get Skyrim patched and working and that's not counting all the time it took for them to get the expansion packs to work on the P3( almost a year :-) )True about not stress-ing, but a month or two? I've been posting about the last gen versions for a while. I even made the second biggest last-gen thread next to this one on this board, but it was locked for being "off topic (in feedback and suggestions?) and for being to venomous (because people were getting rightfully angry). I suspect the real reason they locked my thread was they didn't want news about those versions being awful getting out yet and wanted to silence it for a few days. This topic was made a little bit after it was locked to try and continue where my thread left off, Panda (the thread creator of this one) posted in my thread quite a lot before it was locked.
So yeah, I've been here a while. I made my own thread a week back because I wanted to get the last gen versions and did enough research to realize things were looking really suspicious and bad about the last gen versions, and my worries were confirmed and thus I made a thread about it. I decided to wait a few more days to see if the last gen versions might be decent in some form, like when I thought maybe digital versions were better, and ended up deciding to save my money for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remix coming out tomorrow after I realized that the last gen versions were as awful as I feared.

And now we just need to know what is the info behind these 3 patches, hopefully all the issues for the ps3/xbox360
Yep. I have some tweets in OP by Mike Laidlaw saying they the first patch/patches will be about stability and combatility problems. So I think they will first tackle game-breaking one's. Hopefully that means freezes, crashes and frame-rate drops for old gen since I think those are worst performance-wise.

It also makes no sense why this game is so data intensive in the sense of using so many resources so quickly. I suspect this Frostbite engine is not what's good or whatever is good about it was not optimized. I'm just picturing the spaghetti code that some poor souls have to go through right now to fix this mess. The nerd in me would love to see it but the realist in me is like "nah I'm good" lol.

It did that noise twice the other night and I freaked out. I felt my heart racing after that.
I'm not good with loud noises, so I had to start playing the game without sound (and subtitles turned on) just so I wouldn't have to hear that banging again.

The text and texture problems are pretty bad for me, I haven't experienced any other last gen specific bugs.

Lets hope they fix all the old gen issues because we did paid for the game and the same amount or more depending of your country as the new gen consoles.

+1 This seems to be a thing now, patch the next gen and give current gen the middle finger :/

Well, strictly speaking, the current gen is doing fine. It's the last gen that's having problems.

Yeah I get that aswell. Thats why I dont play with this game with a headset. That bang always hurts my ears.
