That's partially my fault, sorry. I made the petition like a day after seeing that the subtitles were abhorrently subpar, and then stumbled across this thread hours later after making it to see if there were any news about patches or fixes. I apologise.
If they ever fix what we've listed, are you guys worried that DAI may wreck your PS3/xbox, especially if they're older versions? I'm using a pre-owned xbox 360 pro and I'm worried that DAI is going to be the final straw for it, considering the size of the game.

Also do you think we should post photos of glitches/text issues/etc as proof? Just in case kind of thing?

Just a question: Having trouble uploading my world state on my 360. I get a message stating that family controls prevent access. Not complex, true, accept for one thing: The Family Content controls have been set as "Off". I have also tried this after switching the controls On and setting it for open/allow everything. Is this something where I will need to call the XB support number, or is this something that someone else can illuminate for me, please? Thanks for the time!

50 hours in, now. Playing on a 160 GB PS3 slim.
-As Haven has gotten busier, lag has become more pronounced, to the point of outright freezing momentarily
-Most of my problems have been graphics-related, and nothing particularly different than what people have already mentioned:
- the pixelation and general appearance of fade rifts is so atrocious that I only can tell what they're supposed to be based on their color. It literally looks like when they blur out nudity on COPS at times, and I have to wonder if the rift is phallus-shaped or something
- Dorian's facial hair likes to shift upward, so that it's coming out of his nose
-Pop-in is worse than ME1. Mainly a problem during cutscenes
Two gameplay-related concerns - I am not sure if these are bugs, or simply unfinished areas:
-There is a room in Valamar which is only accessible by glitching through a doorway. Not sure if the devs sealed it off intentionally or forgot to remove the block after shield-bashing the wall
-In the dragon nest area of the Hinterlands, there is an invisible ladder, with another unreachable ladder above it
Otherwise, loving it

Hi everyone,
On November 18, we released Dragon Age: Inquisition to the world. Since then, the team has listened to feedback and is working towards the first of an ongoing series of patches and feature/content updates in an effort to support your DAI experience.
As a live service, we wanted to let you know about our strategy moving forward. Here’s a brief outline of two initiatives we’re working on, in order of priority.
Priority 1 – Patches
We’re committed to providing long-term gameplay and stability improvements. We have already released a Day 1 Patch, and in December we will release our second patch. We expect the patch to roll out on PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360 on December 9, 2014. We are working hard to get Patch 2 out on Xbox One as soon as possible.
Patch 2 is focused on stability, but does include numerous improvements and fixes across the board. Full patch notes will be available soon, but generally Patch 2 includes fixes to:
- Stability – Various crashes, freezes, audio/voice glitches, and many stability improvements.
- Gameplay – Conversations, quests, plot states, combat, UI, camera, controls, follower/enemy AI and path finding, exploits, radar, and search.
- Multiplayer – In addition to some of the gameplay improvements listed above, multiplayer fixes also cover areas such as animations, game mode bugs, stat reporting, and stability/crash fixes.
- PC – Numerous control & UI fixes, fixes to some hitching, improved Mantle performance, graphical glitches.
Beyond Patch 2 we’ll continue to release patches that focus on gameplay improvements. We’ve already lined up a number of improvements and fixes we’d like to include in Patch 3, and of course we’ll continue listening to you to make sure we’re addressing your concerns.
I wanted to call out a few specific topics as well, as they relate to patches:
- Keyboard & Mouse controls – Patch 2 includes the first range of fixes towards addressing the feedback we’ve received on the PC controls; it cleans things up so you’ll see fewer problems with the current layout. This gives us a more stable base upon which to work. After Patch 2 goes out, our next priority is to improve the PC mouse/keyboard controls further. We’re investigating how to expand on PC usability and functionality to address specific requests from the community. Keep an eye on this thread by Mark Darrah for more updates.
- Some people have reported problems with party banter firing. To find out more about how the Banter System works please go here. We have also identified that in some edge scenarios, banter isn’t firing as often as we’d like, so we’ll be increasing the percentage chance of it happening. This increase will come after Patch 2.
Priority 2 – Features and content
As massive as Dragon Age: Inquisition already is, there were some things the team wanted to get in at launch, but we just ran out of time. We’ll be creating these new features and content and adding them into your game over time because we love our DAI players. Multiplayer will also be receiving regular content updates.
In closing, I’d like to thank you for your patience. We appreciate your feedback, so keep it coming! We’re going to keep working on these patches and content while you’re off adventuring in the world of Dragon Age. In the meantime, please visit EA’s help website for the latest workarounds and updates.

I am having the small text/font size issue (360). I'm only using an SDTV, but I have never encountered such small, unreadable text before in other games. Skyrim had a couple small fonts in places, but not as bad and definitely not as common, and I managed to resolve that with tweaks to the actual TV's display settings. However, for DA:I it's not done much good.
This doesn't bother me nearly as much, but textures are quite "flickery" sometimes. There was an NPC in the game, whose ears were appearing and disappearing rapidly in a cutscene, which I found humorous.
Mainly, I'd just like some font size controls put in. ![]()

I had the same problem. It's related to a setting about 'social networks' outside of Xbox Live (presumably the way it sees BSN). It should be in Settings > Privacy > Social Network Settings.

Yep. They are totally favoring PC customers. They didn't talk about texture pop in's and textures not loading at all for consoles which is major problem. So it seems that old gen will hopefully play after patch and there isn't game-breaking issues anymore (we can hope) but it will still look like crap.

Fast turn around for patching- hope they don't rush that like they did the old gen versions of the game... though I guess considering these issues were game breaking it's only reasonable they get there butts in gear to fix.

If I understood right they will be patching old gen today as well with those fixes listed in the blogpost. That's good thing, hopefully the fixes help at least with performance issues.

Okay I will add some. I think some graphical are part of clipping issues and texture issues.
I'll add however controller input lag and low resolution to the OP. I should edit it more though, maybe but graphical issues together and performance issues together etc. ^^;

Yeah whichever way you want to do it, keep different aspects bunched together so it is easier to read by the devs
Certainly hope that the incoming patch at least starts to fix the game, I do love it and would like to start a second playthrough bug free

Hopefully lettering/subtitles come under gameplay improvements, because codexes/reading what people are saying IS gameplay in a sense and currently it's like, migraine material. But yay, patch update!

Was there really a patch 1 for 360?
I know that there was one for PS4 but I don't know if the others platforms got patch 1 as well. I guess it happened before people played the games so it was unnoticed?
