Oh, yes. Didn't think of that, I did only think of a more dramatic fix which would be a new dashboard/firmware for those drives. But they could release a patch that would ask us inside game to install the contents of disc 2, download the content on xbox live or release a new batch that would allow us to install the second disc via dashboard. By the way, in which point does this error occurs? Do you get to see EA/Bioware logo during launch or does it crash even before that?
Speaking for me, it crashes after I start the game. There usually isn't a set moment when it happens but rather at random when I'm playing through the campaign. The only places it occurs with a high frequency is during character creation and immediately after the intro cutscene.
During character creation when I use the 'test voice' feature, half the time my character's lips will move but they won't actually say anything and then the error pops up.
I'm curious, is is even possible to patch in the install feature? I know they said they wouldn't because it would cause 'performance issues' but right now I'd take said issues over being unable to play a game I paid sixty bucks for.

mid game every ten minutes or so... or sometimes every 2 hours or so, really random...

it's very strange..i have 27 hours on d age with zero crash, even before the patch..(xbox 360)..
i agree with Vidas Secas..the instalation of the play disc may improve the performance..

I'm not certain that it's come up already, but if I recall correctly, the most stable way to get GTA5 running was to install the "play" disk to the HD, the "install" disk to a USB thumb drive plugged into the 360, and then apply voodoo magick. This is what I did, and GTA ran pretty darn well on the 360, all things considered. Is this not possible?
Is the "play" disk really locked out from installation? That seems like something that would be hardwired into into the XBox and not something Bioware can prevent on their end, but I could be wrong.
N/A to the PS3 version, obviously.

Regarding:
- Save files problems: corrupted, can't load some or any saves.
My husband returned his for a refund due to the above mentioned problem. He experienced a lot of other serious issues playing DAI on the PS3, but this was the last straw. There's just no way to play it. Let's say you put 30+ hours into the game, and then can't continue because all your saves became corrupt. It's unstable and unpredictable.
Why sell the old gen versions if they are not playable?

Yep, locked from installation- would like to know why, but being met with a stone wall of silence on this...

The only way to unlock installation with the disc is by releasing another batch of discs with installation unlocked, that, of course, if you intend to install via dashboard, it's hardcoded. They could also release a patch that would prompt to install the content of the second disc when the game starts, there's a chance the installation will fail at some point, but it could work since you've been able to install the first. Releasing the content of the second disc on xbox live as some sort of compatibility pack is another option.

does the dpad sometimes take you to the inventory when it shouldnt? ]Well I'm glad I'm not the only one then, not that I'm happy your also having issues with it but at least I'm not alone.
Bassicly to make money, because most of the market has not switched to new-gen.Regarding:

Gonna have to try the dpad( the arrows I'm assuming right?) because to be honest I haven't really used it much, but I wouldn't be surprises if it happens the same to me.

This thread has been alive nearly a month and yet no word from a Bioware/EA representative on here. Incredible.
Which makes you wonder, whats going on with them.

Yep. It would have been nice to even know that the problems have been heard. I don't even know if they are aware of many of the problems.

Heh. Ask the PC player base who they think that Bioware is catering to.

Console players. They have even threads complaining how BW is catering console players although BW has done own thread for them in the News and announcements, called PC community concerns and devs have been active there. Seriously, we need similar for old gen and I have requested it but naah, they just ignore me.

The pc and old gen communities are both having substantial issues. Only one of us is actually getting attention from BW though, and one got a substantially larger list of specific fixes than the other.

Yep I know that they have problems as well but those problems are being fixed a lot. The patch 2 was full of fixes for PC although many of them didn't work well.. that's why BW is now fixing the fixes. We however are being ignored almost fully, we have had just couple answers where devs blame hardware for problems.. Sigh why it has to be this hard.

Did anyone have problems with romance resets after the update? Before the update I had a save state where I had the choice to start a relationship with Sera but after the update, she still was trying to figure the Inquisitor out. I don't know if they changed the threshold or if this is a bug. (PS3)

Do you guys think that Bioware might get more hands on when the year rolls around? Because I'm assuming a lot of Bioware's tech team is on holiday right now since it's Christmas/whatever celebration you celebrate right now and therefore not at full capacity/rolling at full capacity. Or simply Bioware doesn't Biocare.

Sorry if this was mentioned before, but when are we getting a fix for the shiny hair bug. The PC version got it, even though it.... didn't go so well, they still at least tried to fix it. But the old consoles still have shiny hair. It makes it really hard to play as a character with black hair, because it's so extremely shiny it makes every moment ridiculous, like your character is a greaser, an Elvis impersonator.

It's not a bug, it's the mesh quality and old gen can't handle better quality unless they do do a rework on the textures and hair. So, I doubt the shiny hair will ever disappear from old gen version
