The game looks like someone made a mistake and ported it over to PS2/XBox. Then realizing thier mistake they ported the PS2/XBox version to PS3/360. It just has that look and feel of late PS2/XBox or PS3/360 generation.

Anyone else think full beards look better on dwarves than humans? On humans it looks taped on or glued on?
When I tried out the beards on the human, it was hovering like it didn't want to actually touch his face. xD

I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but the hairstyles, and the inventory menu are awful!
Why are there 6+ bald/balding hair styles but not a single one with hair that falls below the chin? I'm pretty upset by the way my character looks now...
Plus the menu is quite confusing. It took me several hours to figure out how to go through it all. I would have preferred if they just kept either DA:O or DA:2's list. which was WAY more user friendly...

I borrowed the PS3-version from the video shop and played it for two hours. The game looks very mediocre, even for 360/PS3 standards. Textures and lighting are quite bad, but the faces and open areas are the worst parts of the game.
Honestly, BioWare should have developed DAI: Inquisition only for Next Gen and PC. For us Last Gen users you could have created a Mass Effect spin-off with the engine and gameplay mechanics of Mass Effect 3. Unreal Engine 3 fits better to Last Gen than Frostbite 3. The story of young David Anderson would have been worth telling.

About 20 hours in Now. Agree on a few things- 1)Text is all caps and small with no bold. Had to pull the ps3 tv closer to chair first time.
2)Hair. Plastic-y in most cut scenes and can sometimes be distracting.
3) Clipping- Not on the characters themselves but environment. But yes, I ve seen elbows vanishing into trees. Nothing Major or stuff I haven't seen in other open world games on ps3.
I haven't seen any game breaking bugs or lags. And in Combat I am yet to feel the low fps. Not sure if this helps. 500gb ps3 and digital copy. Now I wouldn't have cared enough to point these out but this game seems MASSIVE and you want to be as immersed in it as possible. I see myself playing it for weeks. So yes I do wonder if it was a better idea to wait till Christmas when I am getting ps4.(But unfortunately I ll get busy soon after
).

I'm still waiting on my copy, but I'm getting quite apprehensive after hearing all the complaints. I'm not too fussed about graphics, but I'll be annoyed if the game crashes/freezes etc.
I'm also worried it might kill off my 6 year old PS3 ![]()

Got the game Tuesday for Xbox 360 - the console is not very old and has tons of space available on it. Played a lot on Tuesday and a lot yesterday. I was even able to play a little today before it froze for a good 12-15 minutes then I turned it off (lost some decent progress) and waited about 20-30 minutes. Booted it back up and it got to the start-up screen (where you press start and then have the option to continue, start a new game, etc.) and when I go to continue the game, it completely crashes. One loading screen will come up, and then it just all of a sudden goes black and crashes. I tried this 3 times - and it did the same thing each time. So, I put in another couple of 360 games just to see if it was my system - and the other games I put in worked fine.
So, I took the DAI back to GameStop and exchanged it for a new one - thinking it was just a faulty disk (or CD). Came back, same damn problem - completely crashes when I try and get into the game after the startup screen. I really don't know what the problem is, but it is extremely disappointing and I honestly hope this problem is resolved quickly. Post if you are having similar experiences as I have just described.

My dad got this on 360 it gets a disc unreadable error all the time in conversations. I tried it on my 360 does the same thing so we sent it back to Amazon as defective for a refund. Bioware should have just released it on ps4 and xbox one if they were going to do such a crappy job. I have had no issues in 15 hours on the ps4.

Ok so I'm currently making a male character, and yes I notice that some hair colours have way too much shine. The two dark brown colours are not that bad. Also some of the beards don't look so great. I'll send you guys a picture in a bit.

The cutscenes on XBOX360 are a DISGRACE.
Screen-tearing, pop-in textures and framerate drops up the wazzooh. Very poor lip-synching as well.
Mass Effect 1 is better in this regard. REPEAT. Mass Effect 1 is better in this regard.
Unacceptable.

This is kinda the only colour that I haven't had a problem with so yea. This beard is alright, can't say the same for some of the others though. I guess I haven't really thought of the facial hair because I usually play female, and for males I never really use facial hair to begin with.

For me with the 360 version the graphics are gimped most likely to make the current gen systems look like a more noteworthy console to have which sucks, the hair looks like plastic, the skin doesn't look much better (though I heard there was a patch for the hair the same I've yet to hear about the skin.) Graphics are low quality Aliens and Witcher 2 both look vastly better and only one of those required an install.
What is annoying me more then the glitches I've encountered of entire sentences being run into one another, clipping issues, the fem hero walk/run fit for runway, vanishing people, or constant plastic hair and skin is the FONT SIZE OH MY GOSH BW! Why didn't you test this game out for a 20inch TV?! I'M LITERALLY UNABLE TO READ ANYTHING the wheel dialogue, the prompts, my inventory, subtitles you name it its all type 1/2 INCH FONT not type 1 type, its type iledgable! I have no idea what I'm picking on the wheel, what I'm using, or what powerups I'm upgrading just to name a few reading is fundamental and I can't read anything! I'd break out a magnifying glass but it isn't going to help on the HD screen! It's really hampering me wanting to play the entire game geez I have to take this game to a friends just to read things on their freaking 40 inch TV! That's more then sad! I have to upgrade to a TV size that will not fit in my space just to play this game?!

Playing on the 360 and now I've been noticing random dialogue is spoken as gibberish (or the audio is running backward). Didn't have this problem in the prologue, but it's been happening more and more.

i don't know if i should keep playing the game or not, i bought digital so i cant return.... i mean i know that the game is there full but it's just i have seen better ps3 games graphic wise and they did this last gen port rushed. They shouldn't have made it on last gen... Are you still playing the game or are you gonna wait and get a next gen console?

More 360 problems:
+ You can't install the play disc! Which means when I play the game the XBOX sounds like a turbine going off. UNACCEPTABLE.
+ You can't remap the controller meaning I'm stuck with the horrible HOLD RT TO ATTACK. Ugh. Again, UNACCEPTABLE.

There is literally no reason this game cannot run smoothly on 360/ps3. Skyrim looks just fine and runs just fine. I have no problem with the graphics being watered down compared to next gen, but they were watered down to the point I don't think bioware really knows what they are doing with this engine.
Add to that the only time I've had any frame rate issues are in cutscenes, and not just because I'm in a large area, something else is clearly wrong. There is no reason for facial hair that shines like a mirror. The load times for cutscenes are obnoxious, and as I and everyone else have already noted the text.
Crashes, freezing, and glitches are not because the system can't handle the game, rather the game can't handle itself.

On PS3 there's a faint gray line in the upper-third of the screen during conversations, just below the subtitles. It's barely noticeable, but now I can't un-see it.

My Xbox 360 is working fine, and please don't call it "old gen." So-called 'new gen' is nothing of the sort, just a name developed by marketers to sell the same systems to people who don't know any better.
People are complaining about the small text? Yeah, it's a bit of an inconvenience, but nothing more. Has nothing to do with game play anyway.

So at last I'm on board and played a bit more then two hours. I think what makes people off in the very beginning is the prologue section with its horrible graphics. It's definetly below DAO. But after that part things get better somehow. Actually my plan was to write down my views after playing more and levelling up a bit but I had to stop cause my eyes got really tired trying so hard to read the text and especially almost invisible "loot" options. My tv is 42 inches and I sit really really close. For now this is my biggest problem. Beforehand I thought that people were exaggerating the small text issue but I see what they mean or better said "can't see" what Bioware mean. Apart from that, lips are a bit out of sync as some others pointed out; tactical camera needs to be get used to but still better then I expected.
At some point I lowered the gama levels a little bit and that seemed to help with the brightness. I had no major issues about loading and saving times or crashes during play. Pop ins were a lot in the character building part but later on I didn2t notice that much. After reading all those complaints about facial hair stuff I went without it and got me a minimalist hair to avoid the greasy and plastic effect. Boy saying all these, I feel like I'm in an "adapt or die" situation. But truth be told it's a really weird feeling that it's somehow worse than DAO but at the same time better. I guess it's still a speculation that the digital edition runs better than the disc edition but I'll still put out the info: my system is the latest slim PS3 500GB and I have the digital deluxe edition.
Anyways I think Bioware is resourceful enough to solve most of the glitches if they choose to put some real effort.
