I see your point ,however I will not move on to 8th gen just because Bioware won't deal with it.I was getting myself an Xbox360 for Christmas along with this game. I will still buy the console anyway and enjoy the huge library of games it has to offer bu no, Bioware won't get any money from me because there is no way in hell I'm buying this for old-gen.I love their games, I respect them but I also respect myself not to be fooled.I guess I'll have to watch a walkthrough on YT and wait a couple of years.

I haven't lost hope yet though.Who knows.

By the way, how many hours did you put into it to finish it?Was it enjoyable as a whole?Or were those problems too distracting?

I completed it in 96 hours, and that's by doing the majority of the game, like side quests, secrets etc.

And the glitches were a distraction at first, The game freezing stopped happening the further into the game I got, but a lot of problems were still there. Like the audio problems and dialogue etc. The latest patch should've fixed most of the problems though.

Saw a video of a glitch the other day on a 360 console where a dragon was literally flying backwards. OP of that post found it hilarious, but it's still a bit iffy. There's also another post circulating on tumblr where an NPC approached someone's Inquisitor with mail or something, but only the top half of his head and helmet is above ground. Not even sure what kind of glitch that is, but it is vaguely horrifying.

This is so close to going full Bethesda.

Also, what's with that Bioware mod post? "We see you're having issues, and see that you're getting [rightfully] angry about it, but you need to be nice about it." Don't sell an unplayable game for £40-60 then. If I wanted a glitchy mess, I'd buy Ride to Hell: Retribution (which is only £2 last I checked), and even then it'd be more playable within the first five minutes because the texts are legible.

Thanks for your reply though, Bioware mod.

Pig Bodline, you dont think it has somthing to do with our posts to their facebook page do you? Thats my thought anyway, hell if its gotten them to at least look I say we keep doing it til we get a RESULT

I think you're right...

Just read back my own post- realised the tone was a little off. I Wasn't trying to imply I was a one man army :)

Anyway, yeah, we should keep bugging them. If we don't get a result at least we haven't gone down without a fight.

Idk.. the first reply we got here seemed to be because people stopped being polite and were getting angry. And it was just PR talk with stating all things we already knew. I'm starting to doubt that they will ever address any problems no matter how much we messaged them : /

You have a point- I guess it's optimistically naive to think that they'd notice and do something, I guess. Though having said Tthat- shutting up is what they'd like us to do.  They want us to get tired and give up... and I really don't think we should.

Well, on the plus side, there's just might be a fix for the unreadable disc error.  Someone at the EA help site suggested downloading the English Voice Over Pack to try and help.  I've started a new playthrough after doing so and so far I've only had one error during a loading screen in over eight hours of playing.  That's a far cry better than getting one within the first fifteen minutes of gameplay.

I'm gonna keep playing and try to not be overly optimistic about this since I've heard of supposed solutions before but hey, it's better than nothing.

Big thanks to Shanklehook on the EA help site for the suggestion and a big thanks for nothing to Bioware and EA for being completely unhelpful with this problem.

Wow, so maybe they didn't even test on which content worked best reading from HD or DVD. Now I have no idea why the hell they didn't give us the option to install the second disc

So a slight update on the English VA Pack possible fix for the unreadable disc error.  Good news and bad news.

I'm eighteen hours in now and I've had two more errors.  However they were both during a loading screen when I was fast traveling from the war table.  Since the game auto saves before I enter the war room nothing was lost.  This is still far fewer than what I had in my previous playthrough when they were happening very often during actual gameplay.

Unfortunately, that's the good news.

Bad news, someone I advised on the EA to try this solution said it didn't work for them sadly so the odds of this being an all around fix for everyone appears to be low.  As such I'd be hesistant to fall this a 'fix'.  More of a hopeful suggestion for those suffering the problem.  Plus, as I said, I'm stilling getting them if rarely.  It's better than it was but I still want to be getting zero errors.

Bioware/EA if you're even bothering to read this (which I doubt but hey): You are not off the hook.  You still need to find a fix for this problem for everyone suffering from it.

I'll do another update on the situation once I finish the game.  Admittdly this might take quite a while, but I want to see how stable my game up to the end.  If I encounter tons more errors I'll update that too.

Thanks for this. You've probably mentioned this, and if you did I apologise, but what kind of 360 have you got- is it a slim or an older model?

-To date, I have been unable to play for longer than 0-5 minutes without the game crashing.

-Prior to the release of the second patch I was unable to make it past the introductory scene without the game freezing.

-With the release of second patch, I made it past the introductory cutscene, but have been unable to make it more than a few battles past the first scripted battle. My game freezes every 0-5 minutes (it has sometimes frozen with my first step taken in game)

Things I have tried:

1) Deleting and reinstalling game data and patch data from the cache

2) Deleting all game data and my save data

3) Restoring my PS3/Formatting Hard drive

4) Connecting/Not connecting to the internet

5) Making new characters in case saves were broken

6) Using both custom and default world states

7) Vacuuming out any dust that might be in PS3 (no signs of overheating before or after vacuuming)

My Hardware information:

1) Disc based game (no scratches, got it new the day after release of game)

2) PS3 fat version, 80 gigabyte hard drive (runs other games just fine, no overheating issues)

3) Plenty of hard drive space left

It's almost like they thought, we've tested it on a pc and new gen consoles and it works pretty much ok, and then when it came to the old gen they probably had the most up to date models- and thought, well, it kinda works. Didn't even cross their mind to stick a copy in a ps3 or 360 manufactured a few years back.

I just feel like we have said everything for them and done everything to gather them information. They don't just like to answer us. It was quite sad that apparently Conal Pierce decided to post here after people were getting very upset and unpolite. I guess being polite and reasonable doesn't work very well. I doubt we can make them more aware of the issues, they should have already seen with we have to say. If not, they don't want to hear it : /

I agree they don't want to hear it... but I don't agree that now is the time to stop. That post from Conal Pierse is a direct request for us to desist- which means we are irritating them. Good. I was irritated having a game I paid good money for crash 30-40 times in 25 hours. This is why we shouldn't stop now. I don't think we should ever stop being polite. I also don't think we should do anything other than carry on being a fly in the ointment of their being able to ignore us.

Yup, the game doesn't work on many old gen consoles and they don't want anyone to know- so instead of addressing these issues- even to say it's not possible to fix and apologising, they would rather sweep it under the carpet.

I want to restate now that I, and as far as I know everyone on this thread, has been nothing but polite. The guys on this thread seem to be a decent bunch who really love the work of Bioware and just want to be treated with a reasonable amount of respect as customers and not be kept in the dark. Bioware should actually read this thread and stop telling us to contact EA Help and acknowledge our issues- a) either tell us they are working towards a fix for these specific problems or b)acknowledge they can't or won't be fixing them and apologise- let people with older xbox and ps3 know that the game probably won't work for them, refund those who hung onto their copies,  and then allow us to move on.

Well we can keep messaging and at least keeping this thread up. It seemed like they want us to message our problems to @dragonage and Answers HQ. If only they thread the feedback section on the forums.. it kinda destroys purpose of feedback that they don't seem to even read things here ^^; I kinda dislike twitter cause the word limit, so hard to say in one tweet what problem you have and Answers HQ already has all these problems though BW doesn't read that either judging the lack of replies. Sigh, maybe I just keep tweeting then.

Let's keep it up for a while, at least. I think it's tweets, facebook page and direct to Conal on here that has produced any response. What other devs can we reach on here? I'm also tweeting laidlaw, pierse, lee, bioware and dragon age. If twenty or even ten of us was doing that every couple of days or so that'd be a start. If you're ok with this what's your twitter handle? I have a seperate account that I'm only using for this issue- @PigBodine1 as I hate twitter. my facebook addres for this is https://www.facebook...333001990093876I'm starting to get paranoid they will shut down the thread and then we'll all be cut off.

If they shut us down, one of us should bring up another one. They're not gonna quiet us down, and if they do then it's obvious they don't deserve their Game of the Year.

@P_andaa is my twitter.

Here... many devs don't really post in forums. Allan Schumacher is most vocal and has helped with PC problems, even investigated some himself. I haven't got reply from him but he might be one to get reply from. He would probaply just forward messages though instead of having straight answers to us.

Then there is Mark Darrah who doesn't post much here. Conal Pierse is one as well. But I guess it that's almost it. There is mods and writers but I doubt they are any help.

Ok I'll add them to my list- maybe you could put something up at the start of the thread with a list of names for people to message? Also you can put my facebook and twitter accounts up there if you like- start a list, if we all followed each other on twitter we can start retweeting etc...

It's some kind of dialogue overlay problem, still happening in other situations and it's not an old gen exclusive bug

Yes, I totally agree. You guys all seem to be a decent bunch and I haven't sighted any "trolls"or any people disrespectful.

This thread contains many many useful information and feedback about the problems of this old-gen port.It would do Bioware good to read this.

We are all Bioware fans , I have spent a lot of money on their products in the past year (games and their official merch etc. etc.)

We are all paying customers who at least deserve the truth or at least admit they went wrong with this port.

I'm proud of you all, we have been very patient for so long and we must keep together, now is not the time to give up, i know its hard, I almost lose it myself too I got really angry but to be honest why should we just desist on something we deserve because we paid full price for a game we got told it would work just fine but with less graphics and that it would be still an awesome experience I say we defend our rights and help them realize we deserve a good quality product .

Its a bad thing thats happening but its bringing people togther to fight a common "evil" We (the players and customers of BW) are all in the right here, Bioware just do the right thing listen to us and fix these issues and a "we are really sorry and we WILL get this sorted" would be really decent.
