To be honest even if I upgraded to a next-gen system I would upgrade my copy.  No matter how much noise we make, bioware is not going to address us without heavy legal action.  They know enough people will still buy and upgrade their stuff to make them money.

 

Perhaps letting us get irritated to shell out another $10 to upgrade to a working copy is part of their strategy.  This has gone far beyond negligence to outright fraud and theft in my opinion.

Now, of course there is nothing there stating that they will actually manage to fix the major problems in the next couple of days or so, but I'm an optimist so I'm chosing to see this as a sign that there is a fix on the horizon. Not saying we shouldn't keep posting and reporting our problems, far from it. I have a feeling that the PC-gamers are the much loved and cared for child of the gaming world, but at least there are some signs that they are going to address the glitches and bugs and stuff.

Honestly I would have understood if Bioware said that this game was only for the latest generation.  I get it, the PS3 and xbox 360, while still great systems, just can't get to the same levels as the latest generation.  But they chose to put it on the PS3 and Xbox 360.  Having already put out games on those systems, some that look and play better than DA: Inquisition, it makes our issues trying to play this game so much more aggravating!  

 

Now having said that.  Hopefully the patch that you mentioned, Faeryla, actually fixes the issues we are having.

Barring legal action, what about a petition?  It feels sort of weird to recommend we use change.org, but if it works.... They'd see numbers and names and that happy little belief that one signature could well represent twenty (or whatever number) COULD hold more weight with the media and the naysayers.  A bit naive maybe, but everything else has been tried, no?

It is the sad part of this buggy story.

 

A lot of guys and girls will be happy having this game under their christmas tree and they'll want to try it immediatly... After all the updates they'll have a bitter taste and a nerdrage coming down of the depht of every gamer soul's. Turning Christmas festivities into a crappy mess will be a haunting memories that will be glued to numerous customers doomed by Bioware.

 

Well, more seriously, a friend of mine asked me if the game was good. What can I say? "He has a pretty animated frontpage and you may be seeing only that until the next patch"? As gamers, we can't encourage people to buy it. They are losing sells...

I support my mum and my younger brother and had to save for three months to be able to buy the game. If had the money then I would have a fancy gamer PC or an XboxOne, but I don't. I paid the same as everyone else and I should be able to play the game with sound and nice graphic and banter and everything. We all should at least get the major issues fixed. I didn't pay for a mute game, or a game that corrupts my saves. *grumble, grumble*

I need a cup of tea and a cookie... And I'm sorry for venting. But that guy really got to me.

 

 

You don't have to be apologetic to me luv. Seriously, you don't have to be apologetic to anybody. You paid GOOD MONEY for this tosh and it ain't working now innit? You made a very calculated investment that had been guaranteed to work and it doesn't. If this were the stock exchange your particular problem would be the death and life of others. Nothing to be apologetic about.

 

But since you feel bad, I'm a single mother, unemployed for the last four years now, "struggling" to make ends meet doesn't quite cover it, and I knew that I couldn't afford a new console, for a long time now. I don't see any of us expecting new gen performance here, which is what everyone else seems to be suggesting. So, just don't be apologetic OK? You're well within rights to complain, and sod whoever says otherwise.

 

I still aint gotten my first cuppa in, it's 9 in the morning and I apologize for the bit extra steam. Be well all.

I've signed it too. Like Octarin, one of my biggest problems with the game is the graphics, but mostly the audio, or lack of audio. I've tried every setting on both the tellie and the game. I simply have either a mute game or a game with only short snippets of background music and very little banter. As in companions that are quiet for hours, some have never spoken outside cut scenes. And my character never speaks other than saying stuff like: "We should take a closer look around."

But I get that you must keep the petition short and sort of focused, and you do state that a lot of us are dealing with a lot of different issues.

I am off to celebrate Christmas, but I will be back of course, ready to continue to do my best to make sure BioWare doesn't forget about us. Have a lovely holiday you all, and here is to hoping that fixes and patches will come soon! Cheers!

I'm not going to apologize to Bioware, but this popped into my head some time ago: it's the holidays. Everyone is taking time off on the holidays. Maybe the silence is them just taking a well deserved break? And afterwards, we'll be getting the responses and fixes we deserve.


BUT....BUT! IF THEY HAD JUST SAID THAT IT WAS BREAK TIME, THIS WOULDN'T EVEN BE THAT BIG OF AN ISSUE SINCE WE'D HAVE BOTH SIDES.
