I'm not going to apologize to Bioware, but this popped into my head some time ago: it's the holidays. Everyone is taking time off on the holidays. Maybe the silence is them just taking a well deserved break? And afterwards, we'll be getting the responses and fixes we deserve.


BUT....BUT! IF THEY HAD JUST SAID THAT IT WAS BREAK TIME, THIS WOULDN'T EVEN BE THAT BIG OF AN ISSUE SINCE WE'D HAVE BOTH SIDES.

Well that is true.  But they have been silent since the day the game was golden, only taking a break from that to say that see some issues.  Right now, the debacle of the ME3 ending still very fresh on my mind, at least, they casted a wall of silence then too.  And that was in march of that release.

I have DAI for 360. The multiplayer is so bugged. I'm not talking just texture stuff I'm talking like unplayable glitches.

1. All enemies die and no key to open the next door
2. At times, Upon mission completion or failure it at the rotating character view screen just hangs until the host leaves. Also upon defeating the final boss. NOTHING HAPPENS to trigger mission completion.
3. Upon entering the next area it loads into just blank terrain. That's it.
4. Ability timing. I've played against bosses and died before the animations of the attack even happened.

5. Unconscious bleeding out. Goes straight to the fade instead of waiting for someone to revive. Even on first death.

Ive put up with it for a while, but its beginning to be unplayable as these staggeringly bad glitches ruin the gameplay.

An other thing that you MUST HAVE to have a good quality playthrough is a gigantic TV screen. The text are really really small. With my TV of 80cm, I have 2mm letters. At 3m of distance I must have a 17/10 eye vision to understand what is written.

You definitely don't need a huge TV to read the text, since my new tv is much smaller than yours is and i'm not having any issues reading the text now on a 60 cm/ 24 inch tv.

That's one of major issues that lot of players report. BW seemed to think that it's because players don't have HDTV's and HDM1-cables but quite many has stated that it isn't case. Hopefully they have realised by now that the text size is software problem not hardware.

Those are apart of it but It's not just hdtv's or the lack of HDMI cords, it's more likely a combination of both of them plus some other issues. I just got a new tv and hooked up an hdmi cord and i'm not having any issues with text size and can read them just fine now.





Sorry about the quality of the images, phones camera isn't very good. But as you can see the text is legible and in a decent size now, granted that this is with 1080 resolution 60hz and with an hdmi cord, without the hdmi cord an 720p i wasn't able to read any of the text since it was blurry as hell. On my previous non hd old model tv I couldn't read anything at all.

It's definitely a pain, that they didn't take everyone into account when making this game. They probably didn't test it out or check how it looks on different tv's to make sure everyone could read the text and this makes the game very hard to play without the sound and use the war table ( I never could make out the text above the time it takes to complete them or the text under their name so I did them randomly in which i have no idea how they turned out.)

I made a post about this issue that I am having, but I hope it can be noticed here.
 

I equipped the Wintersbreath shield for my Warrior character and one of its bonuses/abilities was the Berserk ability which granted 10% damage bonus, but you take 100% (double) damage from all sources (all types of attacks). Knowing this I unequipped the shield but the Berserk effect is still effective, so my character is dying from 2 to 3 hits even when I equip a different shield. Am I the only one experiencing this issue and is there a solution to it? I am playing the PS4 version of the game.

I have a HDMi cable and a high resolution. But the text you are showing for exemple of fine fonts are NOT the smallest of the game. You forget the "todo" list of the quest on the upper right corner or the list of abnormal status of the character in tactical cam.

And even so, if you are fine with this font size, your own photos shows really little text and even a zoom of the screen. Just compare with the other RPGs and you will see that all the other games uses more big font. And they don't use the CAPSLOCK to make all the text in small capital, making them harder to translate for our own brain...

I can't emphasize that part enough.  That text is a little small and ALMOST hard to read, even with the camera practically kissing the TV.

I'd thought I would share my thoughts on the 360 version of Inquisition from a technical standpoint. I have put 120 hours into Inquisition, my biggest file being 80 hours which is the one I beat the game with.

 

I really don't like the fact that I can't install it to the harddrive, that's the biggest compliant I have about the game besides the long load screens and no custom controller support. I really hope this is fixed in a future patch although I'm not holding my breath. I would love custom controller support, I hate having the main attack button be a trigger, I wish it was the A button and as I stand now, the only classes I can play are Rogue Archer and Mage. It's too much of a PITA using melee classes like Warrior. At least with DA2 I had a auto attack button and could play Duel Wield Rogue, can't do that with this version.

 

I've had 12 freezes in 120 hours (None since the patch came out, although I haven't played DAI much since beating the game) and some where it's random like walking up to a scout in the hinterlands and then it freezes, another time I talked with Josephine when I did the other option in her quest and it froze twice and I had to leave and come back to skyhold and it progressed normally. Also during Iron Bulls quest when I returned to Skyhold, it took like 30 seconds to load the area, I almost thought it froze for a second but it did load eventually and I was able to finish that quest off. I've also had long stretches where I have had no issues at all.

 

Graphically it's a downgrade from Xbone version but I don't think it's that big of a downgrade. Game looks fine, pop in can be annoying although that doesn't bother me. The Tutorial area has terrible lighting which makes trying to determine if your characters face looks good a PITA. At least it's better in Haven though. Hair is shiny, I don't mind it but it doesn't look the greatest. Wish we had more hair options but I think that's an engine limitation.

 

I feel bad for others who have had more problems then I had, I consider myself lucky that I haven't had more then random freeze issues. I'm hoping that Bioware will patch some stuff in like install to HD, I would like Custom Controller support as well but I doubt that last part is going to happen.

I used the standard test made for optician to mesure the ability to read at 3 meters. With this font at this size, reading the "todo" list of the current mission need a vision of 17/10 on my 80cm TV screen. I have used science, logic and a lot of arithmetical calcul. Not telling other guys liars, only showing the fact that it is almost impossible to me to play if i'm not glued on the screen. And it is the ONLY game that do so in 20 years of gaming.

Not only the text is small, they also messed it with small-caps font http://forum.bioware...all/?p=17916045 of course it is their fault. Last game I played on 360 that had crappy small text was Call of Juarez Bound in Blood

I don't get this attitude; I don't have this problem, that means none else has either, they are just liars! Things are more complicated than that, not everyone has as much and severe bugs and issues with the game than others have. There is lot of inconsistency. That's why I have tried to only put in the OP the problems many players report on having, to keep it more simple and reflecting what are some major problems that BW can fix.

 

Good for you if the game is great on your console, but dont' go shitting on those who have it worse ^^ And merry Xmas for everyone here as well

I'm imagining that BW is going to work on patch after new year. I just hope this time they really get into old gen problems. It was disheartening to see that they were fixing like 20+ PC problems there but only 2 or 1 problems for old gen consoles in top of problems they fixed for all platforms. It's just that we have most severe problem but we get least amount of fixes..
