It's almost kind of funny that DAIMP is a complete and utter mess and this time they had some experience, meanwhile ME3MP was accidentally fantastic considering Bioware has had no experience with multiplayers previously before it. I love ME3MP with all my goddamn heart, I played it so much I managed to clock nearing 550 hours and managed to get Best of the Best. (For those who are thinking "no way", yes way, have my N7 HQ.)

Like, ME3MP was a simple concept: 10 wave system plus extraction wave, and a challenge every 3 waves ish (wave 3, wave 6, wave 10), and each wave becoming gradually harder. To complete a wave, you had to kill all the enemies, or complete the challenge within the time limit, and when the challenge was done and time limit gone, you killed all the enemies. Easy. It was hard to break the wave, it was only stuff like enemies falling through the map, or the challenge itself (usually the escorts) falling through the map. Firebase London was the glitchiest, but that map could easily be avoided. It was only 1 of 10+ maps.

With DAIMP, they tried to build on that, but added in too many variables. If you have to wait to a key to drop, that's bound to glitch out. If you simply had to kill all the enemies that spawned, easy, it worked last time so it's going to work again. One of my friends have been playing DAIMP for the 360, and out of like, 10 times she played? The key only dropped a couple of times and that's just. Rubbish. Complete and utter garbage. The classes aren't as well built or as balanced as the classes in ME3MP. Some of the classes were garbage, but at least they were somewhat salvageable like the Krogan Warlord. Rubbish on anything higher than silver because of garbage mobility and he was pretty much Banshee bait, but absolutely fun to play on the lower difficulties. (I took him through a gold once with a few friends, and it was with Collectors and it was the most horrifying experience ever. We did extract though.)

People have also reported worse lag issues on DAIMP compared to ME3MP, more falling through maps, glitching into buildings, etc.

How they managed to botch up DAIMP worse than ME3MP now that they have experience is beyond me, seriously.

TL;DR: ME3MP accidentally fantastic, DAIMP accidentally rubbish. Let's hope they fix it and DAIMP can start to live up to ME3MP's name.

You are pointing out the big problem of DAIMP : This game is released AFTER ME3 and has a poorer MP!

You can't choose your enemy.

You can't buy at the shop a special chest to get rare or very rare item for sure.

The difficulty way too high! (Just try to do solo...)

LOT of glitches when you move (my archer keep teleporting close to the enemy after a dodge move or even jump at the enemy...)

"Waves" totally glitched (no key)

Enemy IA really strange (have seen multiple time enemies just passing by and hunting after a player that has not made a move yet and stay at 5 rooms of the enemy wave)

Not a single characteristic displayed! (HP, Mana, Endurance, Strenght... it is a RPG, you know...)

A really sad experience. But it is the same team : we can see a krogan head on a wall.

I understand solo-ing to be hard because you struggled to do that right out of the gate on ME3MP. At best, I could do it with the Human Female Vanguard above level 15 with the Katana or Eviscerator against Cerberus, on bronze, on Firebase Giant. (I was on my friend's xbox and she didn't play ME3MP much, if not at all, so that's why I was solo-ing.)

Bronze is hard at first when you start playing, so that's understandable that there'd be a minor difficulty spike while you have little to no gear.

So basically they've removed content (choosing enemy faction like Cerberus/Reaper/Collector/Geth) and expensive loots (like spectre packs and premium spectre packs)?

They could do Darkspawn (even though they're supposed to be gone, but they bought back the Collectors for ME3MP anyway)/Fade Enemies/Bandits/All but they just limited you to one? Which is definitely a downgrade.

I don't remember the enemy AI being glitchy like this in ME3MP. Sure, they'd lose track of you if you'd cloaked out or ran away or circled around but walking straight by you? That's bad.

I saw that there's a HUD in game for your powers and health like ME3MP (well, your own HUD, you don't need to see how much health or what powers your friend has because you could just guess by their loadout), but why would you need to display someone's stats? In a lobby, sure, so you can build around it but having someone's stats appear in game may be a bit of a clutter. Unless I'm misreading, and they don't have stats at all, which is certainly a downgrade considering you could build characters and choose powers for them in ME3MP.

Since Dragon Age Inquisition was released for Xbox360 and Playstation 3, I'm afraid there's quite a lot of us who bought it with the intent to play it. And I have to say that I think we are entitled to a product that works since that is what we paid for, the same as you.

We don't expect XboxOne/PS4 graphic on old gen consoles, but we do expect Xbox360/PS3 quality. And there is no reason why we shouldn't get that.

Please take the time to sign the petition and support us. Cheers! :) http://www.thepetiti...onsoles-fix-it/

Most people play a 2014 game on an old gen console because they can't afford a new gen console. If they're going to release a game for an old gen console, they should optimize correctly so it's playable before releasing it. Hilariously enough, I hear Far Cry 4 is crossplatformed and it's doing great and that's come from Ubisoft.

But yeah, they'll probably move to next gen consoles because by the time they pump out another game that's hopefully playable, the 360/PS3 will be obsolete.

I can't afford to buy an XboxOne, but even if I did have the money I wouldn't. Only very silly people (like those who for some reason keep posting here telling us how stupid we are because we happen to want something we paid for) buy the first edition of a new console. They're usually riddled with technical problems. When I buy XboxOne it will be the second or even the third edition. I don't see any reason to spend my hard earned cash on beta-testing. And had I known that that is what I would be doing with Dragon Age Inquisition I would never have bought that either.

It's sad that Bioware has kind of regressed. With KOTOR's subtitling, I could read it from a room away because it was clear blue writing on a black background and the lettering was so nice and legible. That came out nearing 13 years ago. Not sure what Jade Empire's subtitling is going to be like because I just bought it and I'm attempting to beat Fable 2 before I start it, but from the lettering I've seen from the menu it looks like it's going to be an easy read. Jade Empire is nearing it's 10th anniversary.

And then, over the years, the subtitling just got gradually smaller and smaller and then DAI happened and it's just, "welp, we hope you're not deaf because we chose aesthetics over legibility".

Call me the Annoying Forum User that's Obsessed with Subtitling and Lettering and Accessibility if you want, but I'm just so mad that they failed such a basic thing that they've got right so many times before.

\yeah and it's things like that that you can't blame on EA really, can you? I mean I seriously doubt EA manager went over to dev teams and said one day "make the lettering like bedbugs cause it saves us munny"... go figure why they do this... maybe it looks ok on older resolutions?

It doesn't. I can't read anything without straining my eyes to the point that I look like I have pink eye after a while.

The subtitles look like garbage on nearly every TV except for the super modern new TVs that are incredibly HD and incredibly big and except on PC, because on PC apparently they're too big.

I would take "too big" over "too small" any day.

Yep this factor as well. They will release better versions of PS4 and XBONE later on with cheaper price.

I don't see any point in buying PS4 just yet. It's expensive as heck (yes it's cheap in US but it can be double as much in my country), I have dozen PS3 games and DAI is only game I would buy for PS4 for the moment, I don't have space for both systems and also since my laptop broke that I need for my university I have to buy that first so I'm broke ^^;

The truly sad thing is that even if we bought a new console it's not like Dragon Age Inquisition would work perfectly. It is buggy and glitchy on all platforms. I don't know anyone who hasn't complained about either crashes, frame rate drops, graphic and/or audio.

I kinda cry a little inside when I hear you say those things, cause I know you're right, but I am utterly mad and hellbent at playing this god damn thing in its proper state that I'm totally read to go buy an xbone right now and turn in the 360 disc.

Rushed game thanks to EA, I doubt they even had the chance to test a full playthrough on old gen before the copies were manufactured. At least they got the "GOTY" and I hope the series won't die, because if they released the game during 2015 it would really have a bad time against The Witcher 3

I think they're the perfect size on the PC and I wish it was the same size on the TV because then I might have a chance at reading them without getting a headache.

Looks like you missed your chance to give them this novel suggestion oh several years ago when they first started to develop DA: Inquisition.

But as they DID develop it for the ps3/xbox 360 as well, for them to drop the ball on optimizing it for those system... the onus is on them.  I do agree that they should have kept this game on the latest systems, but they didn't.  And we, myself included, bought the game believing that the game would run with minimal bugs, crashes, and decent UI at launch.  Wait.  Is that too much to ask for?  We aren't asking or requiring top notch graphics, but a smooth running game?  Especially as we all paid $60-$70 for this game.

Don't feed the trolls, folks :P.

I blame EA for rushing the development.  I also blame bioware for their obvious failure to even begin to properly optimize the game for these systems.  I blame them even more for basically outright ignoring us.

I was a big fan of the N7 Paladin guy against the Geth in solo mode. With his skill, he drain the shield and health of the enemy and by the same time upgrade his own shield. Really hard to kill...

I was talking about trying to fight in solo during DAIMP. A single enemy is as powerful as you. In ME3, it was possible to accomplish solo with medium level character. In DAI, it is almost impossible. In fact, you don't even have the "solo" accomplishement.

For the HUD, you must know you are limited to 4 active skills in DAIMP. 8 in solo campaign. You can travel with 4 differents potions too in DAIMP.

About the characteristic, I'm talking about the fact that you don't see any characteristic at all about your character. You gain strenght, constitution, willpower, magic, etc... but you NEVER know the amount you have, how many HP you got and all the thing that will help to make a good build. The funny part of it is that there is no explanation at all about what gives every characteristic. Does strenght give some HP too? Does dexterity increase the luck to have critical hit? Even on the online manual there is no explanation about all this stuff.

Thank you for explaining further!

That sounds incredibly unbalanced, don't they have any basic enemies comparable to a Cerberus Trooper of sorts?

4 active skills doesn't sound too bad, considering in ME3MP you could have 3 active powers if you left 1 passive slot empty. But then again, this is Dragon Age so that might not work as well as it should.

But the last paragraph though, that's garbage. Did they even think this through? Have enough people complained about it? Because that's just. That's not fun at all. That's ridiculous. How did that even get approved. How.

Thanks for sharing your experiences though! It's appreciated.

Personally I would love to get an Xbone and double dip on DAI but that's not feasible right now. I'm waiting for the 2nd version of Xbone plus Fallout 4, until then I'm stuck with last gen version. I may not have had as much issues as the others in this thread but I do want to see fixes like being able to install the game to the harddrive as my main one.

Greetings to all.

One thing I wanted to share with you is: do you feel outraged with the game's graphics in old gen? Has more beautiful game that is old and a proof is the Hawkes, who when he appeared, I felt disgusted look at him.
And the delay in rendering? This is ridiculous, every damn scene happens it.
I do not know if it's just me, but this bid to reflect the lights in the armor are too ugly in olg gen're not neat. Would you like it to be removed?

What about bugs? Have you experienced many?

I have no words to describe how much I was disappointed with these game bugs. There was a time I was talking to Josephine and my inquisitor began to enter the ground. Literally.

I know that the issue of graphics can even be my freshness, but please EA / BIOWARE arranges these problems, the delay in rendering're too ugly to behold.

A hug from his friend Maracalas  :D

(Do not mind the spelling error, I do not speak English, and as no one would care if I wrote that my tongue, had to appeal pro translator.)
