I didn't know you can make a seriously buggy game that can be a GOTY.  

 

I don't think award shows and reviewers are counting old gen anymore when giving awards and reviewing game. They only look what the game looks in it's best and then praise it to heaven without taking in consideration that not all customers have same experience and the game actually can have pretty bad portings and be badly made for hardware that's not top notch. Because of this I don't think you can really trust awards and reviewers, they have the top end stuff and usually talk only what the game is as it's best.

Don't know if it's been mentioned before, but the bug that did it for me was the A Friend of Red Jenny quest bug. That locks out a companion; very annoying.

i think its the one where u cant finish the quest, and sera is permantly unable to join the party.

Do you know why, though? Like, are you cut off from the 2nd level of shops or are you denied a chance to recruit if you leave Orlais...? Just curious.

you cant find the last object. I belive it happened to me because I left val royalx, halfwaythrough the quest.

I'm sure he's swamped with tweets etc, but, having said that, if he did bother to read anything we sent and then he ignored it? Then that's the last review guy I thought i might trust gone...

Now, if I try to make a throne trial, I have the black loading screen of the dead.

 

As time goes, I have more and more bugs... It's like a worm bug destroying randomly parts of the code. Frightening.

I've noticed that too, that the game seems to get more glitches. I'm on my fourth or fith attempt to play it and I get even less banter and less sound overall. And the game freezes more and loads slower... It's really odd.

You seem to be describing "memory leak." I read a report on another site (which I rather uselessly cannot remember right now, sorry) where someone had allegedly documented memory leak in the PC version.

Do you know if there's a fix for it, or if there is away to prevent it from happening? This is on my Xbox360-version. My boyfriend's PC-version is working... not great, but it has sound and banter and the scenes load as they should.

Memory leak is unfortunately a developer-side issue. I know from experience that the PC method of dealing with it is to restart the machine; I just learned from a quick google search (that as with PC) a reboot of your Xbox is the most recommended action to try. My apologies in advance if you've already tried fully powering down and restarting. It's the best I've got so far.

Even with the issues on last gen, DAI is still GOTY material. It's not my personal GOTY though, Dark Souls II has that title. Unlike DAI though, I don't have issues playing DKII, except for dying but that's a given.

Sure, GOTY "material", kinda like eggs, flour, milk, water and sugar are "superb cake material", but it so often goes belly up.

I have a little update. I contacted the Swedish Society For the Deaf on account of the miniscule text-size and they've replied. They are going to look into the issue and get in touch with BioWare. Now, I know this only deals with one of the many glitches ruining this game but still, it is a step in the right direction.

I think EA will need to hear from societies for the deaf from several countries before they notice, frankly. It's quite easy for US executives to think, "Sweden? That's one of those countries that thinks everyone is entitled to food, shelter and healthcare, right?" I say this as a Yankee. sigh.

If they didn't want the game to be international they should have locked it for use only in the US. Since they didn't, they'd better listen.
