If they didn't want the game to be international they should have locked it for use only in the US. Since they didn't, they'd better listen.

Since they didn't (edit: lock it), they'll be looking at data and feedback from several countries. Sweden is a start. It likely is not sufficient.

Edited to add: From where did you get the inference they didn't want it to be international? I didn't write anything about that.

Angry Jo also gave it his "goty" top spot, shows he didnt bother looking at anything we told him.

Anyone who follow Angry Joe will know that he is not used to rpg while in contrary he is pretty hard in his FPS reviews because he played them a lot recently.

I'm not taking his defense and think it's a bit easy for him to have made DA:I his GOTY while he seems he didn't played any others rpg during 2014. While on PC, we had Wasteland 2, Divinity original sin, Shadow run and Banner Saga for example.

But he isn't the only person like this, unfortunaly.

So better watch him at when he is dealing with subjects in his field of expertise, in my opinion.

I think EA will need to hear from societies for the deaf from several countries before they notice, frankly. It's quite easy for US executives to think, "Sweden? That's one of those countries that thinks everyone is entitled to food, shelter and healthcare, right?" I say this as a Yankee. sigh.

You might be right, but since we don't seem to be able to get through to BioWare/EA on our own, I figured that the more people we have in our corner the better.

Also I believe that there is false marketing part involved as well since they said game wouldn't be lacking on 3rd gen consoles and I even found this interview: "Neil Thompson, the director of art and animation from BioWare has shared in an interview with VG247 that the dev team behind Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be channeling all their efforts towards giving players a great looking game on both gen 3 consoles PS3 and Xbox 360. “We’ve probably pushed them further than we ever have before. When you’re trying to take a gen 4 experience and put it on a gen 3 console without compromise then by necessity you’re pushing those consoles really hard,” Thompson told VG247. Clearly, the PS4 and Xbox One will have an advantage from the graphics standpoint, but the aesthetics of the game will be about the same on both generations of consoles. “It’s tough,” he added. “We want people to have the same satisfying experience no matter what platform they play it on. From a graphical perspective the gen 4 versions look more dense, but in terms of the aesthetic of the game they should be the same across platforms.”

Link to whole article: http://www.loadthega...n-ps3-xbox-360/

So only info we got when preordering or reserving game was couple interview like these on articles where BW stated game would fullfill potential of old gen consoles and there wasn't anything to be worried about. So honestly at least I thought I the game would be even better as ME3 and DA2 since it's newer than those and they said they fullfilled potential of the consoles..

Hell, we should call a lawyer and see if we have a good case to sue. I'm from the USA, we've tried to sue for dumber things... Why not this?

I don't think there is any law being broke ^^; It's just that lot of companies do this, release games even with countless bugs and without releasing all the information. The reviewers are doing same, praising game to heaven with their high tec PC's and new gen consoles without even acknowledging that game might be awful when you don't have that good hardware. Also the problem is that most of us live different countries. Evenmore at least I wouldn't sue anyone over videogame, it just feels very odd idea for me to sue over thing like that.

So if someone wants to go this route who I am to say no but I won't be taking part of it. Petition is enough for me.

False advertising is AGAINST THE LAW. By all counts, Bioware broke the law with false advertising. I admit it would be a first for this industry, but I truly think a court case has potential here.

I think you'll have a hard time mounting a court case at this point even if you can find a lawyer intrigued by the idea. They've announced an intention to release a Patch 3 and no one knows what's in it.

Edited to add: we all agree to mediation in the EULA before playing. I can imagine a scenario where mediation nets you a refund or game credit.

Browsing through tumblr and came upon these posts:

"shout out to DAI for getting rid of healing spells but still letting you resurrect your party members so that every difficult battle turns into a high-stakes game of leapfrog."

Also:

"inquisitor lavellan, do you know any of the chant?" "of course i do….uh….oh, maker you’re so fine.  you’re so fine, you blow my mind.  hey maker. -clap clap- hey maker"

:')

Bioware is Canadian, not US.

Also, keep in mind that to even have a case you'd need to show that the company had ample time after becoming aware of the bugs to fix them. A few weeks is NOT even SLIGHTLY enough time; especially when 2 of those weeks are considered holiday.

Being upset over the state of the game on some people's systems is fine. But some people here seem to jump the gun too fast. I mean, petitions and lawsuits? Give them time to try and fix things. Acting like children won't get you what you want any faster. =/

You do realise that DAI is literally inaccessible for certain disabled people right, and Bioware has done jack **** about this issue since release and it honestly should be a top priority (among others) because being excluded from an experience and it's not even your fault is frankly horrifying. I mean, if they have the time to pump in two more romances (Cullen and Solas, just before release), then how the **** didn't they catch & fix the horrific subtitling and text. (Which is a disability & health issue.)

In fact, they practically released DAI as unplayable flat out for last gen. There are still game breaking glitches and so many problems with the last gen release and they've managed to fix minor problems like extra save slots for PS consoles over the game breaking glitches. It's poor optimization and could be viewed as a money grab.

If they're going to sell a product, they have to make sure it works and is worth the money at the market they aim at, not botch the entire thing up and then do nothing about it so far. (It's been over a month now and it's still largely broken. Bioware is a LARGE company. They haven't even addressed some of the most basic ****.)

2 patches, mainly PC-centric, game inaccessible, game still broken, no word from Bioware or EA about the state of the last gen consoles, false advertising and the list goes on and on and on. Honestly, your problem should be with the companies, not the customers that got screwed over by a botched deal and are rightfully angry about it.

inb4 Bioware/EA blames our set up (TVs etc) for the reason why DAI looks bad, and tells us to simply upgrade everything like we have the money to

I'm all for getting them to look at old gen and how bad a port it is but it is not unplayable for everyone. It seems to be a dice game with what year your 360 is and its hardware. I'm at 90 hours on the 360 and have been enjoying it. If it runs on your 360, its playable and enjoyable. Maybe I'm just lucky, who knows.

I'm becoming more doubtfull as time goes on that they can even fix some of these issues, especially if its due to hardware. They already nerfed the hell out of everything to its lowest settings. What they should do in my opinion is offer a refund or exchange or some kind of compensation to people who legitimately cannot play it because of bugs, glitches, etc.

@Tvorceskiy

How is making petitions and thinking about lawsuits count as acting like a child anyway? Do children make lawsuits nowadays? Because I'm going to start to be terrified of 5 year olds if they're going to take me to court over calling them a dork or beating them at Mario Kart.

(Unless you're talking about us demanding a playable game, which is ridiculous, because they shouldn't of sold a game that was more than likely going to be broken in the first place. We - or others, as gifts - have willingly spent £60 on a game that should work, and so far we've got nothing or barely anything out of it.)

Yeah, it might be a luck of the draw. Although I think there's a been a bunch of posts where there's been lots of glitches regardless of hardware or how old the console actually is. If I could play the damn thing, I'd tell y'all how it'd play on an arcade console.

I'm just hoping that there's like, a tidal wave of patches when the working year starts for gaming & developers and such. You get a patch, you get a patch, everybody gets a patch!

The reason they could be sued for false advertising is simple, and not glitch related. They said that the last gen version would have all the exact same features as the current gen versions. And that is false, scars are missing in the last gen character creator. That means they lied, and that is illegal in advertising.

They never said it would be the same, they said the graphics wouldn't be like on new gen and less npcs. They said it would have the same content(quests and story).

I meant on the box itself if you're referring to an earlier post.

If you pick up the case for the 360 version and look at the back, you're going to see next gen graphics. Last gen looks like turd (in most cases I've read), or just flat out crashes.

Also someone made a comment on how the majority of pre-release content like previews and such was on PC or next gen, never really showing how badly optimized the last gen experience is.

And I'm not sure if they announced no scars for last gen before or after the release.

We're not looking for a next gen experience, we're looking for a playable last gen experience that is advertised as so.

A fully functional, stable copy is the obligation of a game-maker.  And after the advertisements they've made people have a reasonable expectation (legal term there, actually) to have a version of the game that is functionally, and content wise largely the same.  Graphics should be comparable to other last-gen games of similar nature (skyrim).  There is no excuse for the game coming out in the state it's in.

Regardless, a lawsuit against a corporation is a dead end.  They will out-spend you any day of the week, and often time the courts in this corner of the globe (north america) have a ruling preference in their favor.

They had said, and I quote that the only difference would be a few less NPCs walking around. And that is false claim and false advertising and leading the buyer on and deceiving them to buy something by making false claims.

point a = precisely so

point b = also precisely so, and this is why we are hesitant to proceed to court action lawsuit. however, that doesn't mean we shouldn't try and spread this. i think we should keep on shouting.

Perhaps, though to be honest with a petition that still has failed to cross even the 100 mark I doubt bioware is particularly concerned.  The old gen issues have gotten zero exposure.  They have no reason to sincerely try to fix it.

You know, this game is what made me buy a Xbox One. I bought the X360 version at first, played for some hours and enjoyed. After seeing the next gen images...I lost my motivation and stopped playing the game till I got a new console back at the start of December. It was worth it, if you guys are able to, save some money for the next gen version.

Oh, yeah, the current-gen version work great, no doubt.  I have no intention of upgrading however, as I personally don't believe in supporting a company twice that dismisses it's customers so easily.

I know, right? It's precisely what happened to me as well. Precisely. Plus some bugs. But thing is, I'm still waiting to see if the money I need for this has been deposited or not, and it seems like it hasn't. I've been waiting for over a month for this, and I'm just starting to get seriously disillusioned by now.
