Done. But Squallypo is right, if we all write to him, he may take this up.

No doubt you're all too articulate to need any hand-holding when writing to people but if you've just woken up groggy and need a proforma?
Hi there,
Bioware's Dragon Age Inquisition is getting game of the year plaudits pretty much all round, but I'm guessing that's on the new consoles. On Xbox 360 and PS3 it's a buggy mess and on older versions of those old gen consoles it frequently just doesn't work at all, either crashing on the PS3 or producing a disc unreadable error on the Xbox 360. It's clear from Bioware's single response on the forum below- which has over 60,000 views, that they're hoping the problem will just go away:
http://forum.bioware...3#entry18280146
That's why we've started a petition to get them to fix the game, which people can sign up to below. This isn't just a question of a game which performs poorly or is inferior to the new gen console verions, this is a game which they've sold to customers, who in good faith have paid full price for a product which is fundamentally broken. I was wondering whether you could highlight this consumer issue.
Many Thanks!

Also I believe that there is false marketing part involved as well since they said game wouldn't be lacking on 3rd gen consoles and I even found this interview: "Neil Thompson, the director of art and animation from BioWare has shared in an interview with VG247 that the dev team behind Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be channeling all their efforts towards giving players a great looking game on both gen 3 consoles PS3 and Xbox 360. “We’ve probably pushed them further than we ever have before. When you’re trying to take a gen 4 experience and put it on a gen 3 console without compromise then by necessity you’re pushing those consoles really hard,” Thompson told VG247. Clearly, the PS4 and Xbox One will have an advantage from the graphics standpoint, but the aesthetics of the game will be about the same on both generations of consoles. “It’s tough,” he added. “We want people to have the same satisfying experience no matter what platform they play it on. From a graphical perspective the gen 4 versions look more dense, but in terms of the aesthetic of the game they should be the same across platforms.”
Link to whole article: http://www.loadthega...n-ps3-xbox-360/
So only info we got when preordering or reserving game was couple interview like these on articles where BW stated game would fullfill potential of old gen consoles and there wasn't anything to be worried about. So honestly at least I thought I the game would be even better as ME3 and DA2 since it's newer than those and they said they fullfilled potential of the consoles..
Panda, I linked this in another ps3 thread in Scuttlebut (No Spoilers), titled Any fellow PS3 gamers?, as I thought it very relevant, hope you don't mind.
“We want people to have the same satisfying experience no matter what platform they play it on. From a graphical perspective the gen 4 versions look more dense, but in terms of the aesthetic of the game they should be the same across platforms.”
The above quote, is the major reason I went ahead and bought the game for ps3, but even though they may have wanted us to have the same satisfying experience, I really don't think they achieved that level of satisfaction for most of us lastgen players.

I particularly enjoy how in their reply they couldn't even be bothered to spell her name-tag correctly. Classy and really fills you with confidence that they are listening.
You noticed that too eh? Well, thanks for noticing anyhow

Watching a friend play DAI on 360 on a super big super HD TV and the font is still small, but is actually readable. Incredible.

I put it down after the second patch because it still didn't fix enough issues. Still nothing?
Guess I'm glad I re-installed VtM Bloodlines to play in the meantime.

Patch 3 at this rate wont see light til summertime. Then itll be a ps4 and "next gen" only I reckon, Sorry for the depressing tone but, this isnt the only game and dev im really pissed off with atm.
Don't blame you for the pessimism... but I'm not quite ready to let go yet. I'd at least like to reach the target on the petition and then throw it at as many people I can think of. Can't sit by and let them get away with winning goty awards left right and centre whilst ignoring so many of their righteously aggrieved customers.

By the way, I thought I should make a point over here, we shouldn't really blame it all on EA. EA also has the SIMS for which patches are often, they correct issues, and mods and devs very frequently acknowledge and reply to customer issues and complaints. Just thought I'd say this, since I'm playing both games and I compare.

Happens to me, too. What I had to do was use it, save, load, and then distribute points.

Even if we ever reach the petition goal, I don't think it'll make a difference. The progress is crawling, there is no exposure of these issues, no one cares. They've pacified the PC community by giving them a sticky thread and making them feel special. Next-gen hasn't been having any issues.
They literally have no reason to care.

Managed to get 3 hours in on a friend's xbox (it's a fairly new xbox, 360GB too I think) since they have a ridiculously huge ridiculously HD brand spanking new TV.
Text and subtitles are only just readable, but still painfully headache-inducing small.
Glitches encountered:
- textures popping in, and then back out again
- Cassandra disappearing in conversations
- people suddenly talking backwards???? it was like drunken Simlish
- textures not appearing in one case, literally it was just a huge blob of what looked like a person
- random frame rate drops whenever anything busy happened in combat (happened at least 3 times against the Pride Demon battle)
I didn't encounter any freezing mainly because I hadn't even reached the Hinterlands yet, I was still pissing around in Haven.
Still mad about the text and subtitling though.

They can still get their asses fried on the disability stuff though, I'd think. If they don't do anything about it, it could turn into an ableism thing.

By who? No one with enough clout to do anything about it cares.

They want us to give up and call it a day, well, we will when they issue a full refund to all last gen owners and one hell of a sorry letter. Perhaps though we can have this thing call "A PATCH" its a miricle of the Gods that fixed glitches and issues, I guess BW never heard of it.

Deaf associations, deaf gamers, people who support accessibility. If enough people go "no, this isn't good enough, it's shocking and appalling behavior", it's surely going to do something.

I don't need a sorry, a refund would be nice though.

I'm still confused on what Patch 2 did exactly (other than messed up graphics on PC's that used high graphics for some time). It was supposed to help with performance but some are saying that it made it even worse. But it seems like it at least fixed dialogues so no need to skip those anymore? ![]()

At best, that's just a text size issue. That doesn't fix the rest of the game. And as for the text, bioware still insists that it's just a TV size thing, and a lot of people have taken their side. Particularly PC players.

I can say I had no Dialogue issues aside from the garbling of sentences. Did basically everything in the game. Experienced tons of party banter, wasn't an issue.

No it doesn't fix the rest of the game but i'd still like to see them taken to task over the text size. Firstly because it is a disability issue and it is shocking they haven't dealt with it, and secondly? At this juncture anything that makes them squirm is fine by me. Nope they probably won't come charging in on a white horse at the last minute to fix things, yes we probably are just shouting into the wind, and yes they probably think, well, not enough people are complaining so screw 'em, but, you know what? I'm still determined to be a pain in the neck, because they've d*cked me over, d*cked a lot of nice people on this forum over, and shucks, someone oughtta have a go at them. Fully disclosure:when I found out Inqusition wasn't working on my system I took my copy straight back, (twice) and got a full refund. But i love Bioware's stories and wanted to see it get fixed. Now I'm beyond that, beyond caring, beyond even playing other games on my xbox for the last few weeks because this whole fiasco has really taken the joy outta gaming for me... However even though I got a refund a lot of people haven't, they hung onto their copies in good faith and are stuck with a steadily depreciating in value drinks coaster whilst those humps at Bioware point at their upcoming goty awards, and ignore their fanbase. This is not only the last game I preorder from Bioware, it's the last game I preorder from any company and definitely the last game I EVER buy new from EA... and I'm just going to keep on at this, because they may not give a crap, but I want to be the tiny piece of grit in their oyster, the irritating buzz in their expensive speaker system, the irritating little git that even if they only notice my tweet, email or comment for 0.000000003 seconds? Hopefully it'll still take a little of the shine off their freakin' day.
Ok rant over, petition now grand total of 115, any ideas on increasing the numbers?
