Hi!

I've been having a lot of problems in several quests on PS3, for example the quest where you should find three key fragments and make a key. I've found the places where the fragments are but I cannot pick them up.

It's the same problem in the other quests like this one.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Have you tried posting this in the general strategy?  I'd try to help but, a.) I haven't been able to progress far in the game cause of freezes and crashes b.) not enough info for where you are having trouble.

No it doesn't fix the rest of the game but i'd still like to see them taken to task over the text size. Firstly because it is a disability issue and it is shocking they haven't dealt with it, and secondly? At this juncture anything that makes them squirm is fine by me. Nope they probably won't come charging in on a white horse at the last minute to fix things, yes we probably are just shouting into the wind, and yes they probably think, well, not enough people are complaining so screw 'em, but, you know what? I'm still determined to be a pain in the neck, because they've d*cked me over, d*cked a lot of nice people on this forum over, and shucks, someone oughtta have a go at them. Fully disclosure:when I found out Inqusition wasn't working on my system I took my copy straight back, (twice) and got a full refund. But i love Bioware's stories and wanted to see it get fixed. Now I'm beyond that, beyond caring, beyond even playing other games on my xbox for the last few weeks because this whole fiasco has really taken the joy outta gaming for me... However even though I got a refund a lot of people haven't, they hung onto their copies in good faith and are stuck with a steadily depreciating in value drinks coaster whilst those humps at Bioware point at their upcoming goty awards, and ignore their fanbase. This is not only the last game I preorder from Bioware, it's the last game I preorder from any company and definitely the last game I EVER buy new from EA... and I'm just going to keep on at this, because they may not give a crap, but I want to be the tiny piece of grit in their oyster, the irritating buzz in their expensive speaker system, the irritating little git that even if they only notice my tweet, email or comment for 0.000000003 seconds? Hopefully it'll still take a little of the shine off their freakin' day.

Ok rant over, petition now grand total of 115, any ideas on increasing the numbers?

I gave ME3 a pass despite the obvious fact that the game was horribly rushed and unfinished.  It felt to me like the people who actually do the grunt work of making and writing the game gave it their all, they just got screwed by team leads and upper management.

With DA:I I don't feel that way.  I feel like they've just been dicking us over and playing favorites.  I don't feel like they bothered to try with the old gen versions, and don't care to now either.  I held onto my copy hoping to see something more by now, and now that I realize how they don't care about their customers, I'm left with a worthless brick.

I play on X-Box 360 and have glitch wherein the ability to switch characters stops working. I have to save, get out of the game completely and go back in to get it to work once more.

Sound still weird.

And that's got to be something they can be held to task over, isn't it? They are selling something broken. they know full well now that it doesn't work on some consoles, the least they can do is apologise and refund.

Especially now that most of us are way past our allowed return dates.  Well that is if they accept video game returns.

I'm still confused on what Patch 2 did exactly (other than messed up graphics on PC's that used high graphics for some time). It was supposed to help with performance but some are saying that it made it even worse. But it seems like it at least fixed dialogues so no need to skip those anymore?

To be honest, I didn't play enough of the game to encounter weird dialogue glitches. Leliana just talked backwards more than usual, and I didn't even get around to talking to Cassandra outside of plot and war room to encounter the glitch that everyone gets with her.

This is going to sound bad, but you know how tumblr is basically called the nasty SJWs of the internet because we discuss social issues a lot? I've been causing a ruckus about this game on there and how **** it is accessibility wise and at least 2370 people have seen it, with more people who don't follow me because of the petition I made. (Because they actually give a **** about accessibility, unlike Bioware so far.) If I managed to co-ordinate something like a **** ton of people @'ing as many Bioware devs at the same time asking the same question over and over again multiple times, just enough to either A) get their attention on it or B ) to drive them up the wall and ****** on their parade or C) all of the above it might get us somewhere.

I refuse to admit defeat at this point, if I'm going down, I'm taking the company with me, everything be damned. Just because PC gamers say it's okay, doesn't mean it's actually okay it's like comparing an apple (PC) to a lemon (last gen). Sure, they're having a nice juicy apple and everything is a-okay, we're just left with a sour taste in our mouths and we either have to continue eating the damn lemon or just give up entirely.

Also, obligatory "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade" quote. Or combustible lemons.

Yep even **** as poop gets bleeped. So weird for me cause in my country curse words aren't really cencored at all and since the game itself is for adults I don't get the point of cencoring forums XD

On another note, look at the size of these glorious subtitles on a Bioware game that is nearing it's 10th goddamn birthday.

Bless you Jade Empire. If only your latest successor followed your legible subtitling.

I have heard that patch 3 will at least fix multiplayer problems like keys not dropping, someone linked article about it in the forums. It didn't state what platforms and what will be other problems fixed though but I'd except that old gen players can except multiplayer to work better after that patch. No information on the time of that either though.

I read that too. And the silly part of the info is that they said "We never heard about the key problem before last week". Is somebody reading their own forum?

Sigh it makes no sense that they refuse to even listen what's problem with the game or then they just lied about it. Since key problem has been there since release, I have heard about it in the first week already.

You're asking the question of should versus can.  They COULD apologize and offer a refund, but they won't.  Should they be taken to task?  Absolutely, but can they?  It'd take a class action suit, and arguing the finer, very vague points of reasonable expectation for video games and what constitutes "broken" in courts that favor businesses against a financially well armed corporate opponent is a lost cause IMO.

Bioware we need to talk. I know that you are more worried about the next gen consoles but let's talk reality most of your costumes can't afford one of those new $400 boxes. STOP ignoring us last gens, if you release a game on the last gen console the lest you can do is make it play able, and reasonably pretty. Dragon Age 2 was great looking (yes I know it was a smaller, and shorter game) but even Skyrim doesn't look this bad on the 360. When I tell my friends that I feel like I am looking at Oblivion again, that's not good. Why is it that Battlefield, Call of Duty and FarCry4 can be bothered to make the last gen versions of their games, reasonably pretty and very playable, and you guys just throw us the play test version of the game (for full price) and say there you go, go have fun. I understand that you can only work so fast, but when DA 2 looks better than DA 3 you have a problem.

My setup:

Star Wars RD-D2 XBOX 360

250GB HD

High Speed HDMI

1080p Toshiba LED TV

My problems:

-Took 45 minutes to install the game the first time.

- Armor textures for the quartermaster during 2nd cut scene(?) are gone, she looks like she is wearing a set of armor that was taken into Photoshop and had to many blur and smudge stick filters thrown over it.

- Varric's necklace;  no detail, grey ring around his neck with another grey ring in the front. He looked WAY prettier in DA2. And Biance is a tan block with no work textures at all.

-What is that black thing being pushed of the building? What is that white bird poop looking spot on it? Oh that is supposed to be the inquisition's banner and symbol.

- Weapons preview of my Morning Star showed me a grey stick with a ball on the end of it and little disks where the spikes should be.

What I have tried to do to fix my missing textures:

-Deleted everything but my saved game and reinstalled the game, this time it only took 20 minutes instead of 45.

-Reloaded new totally new save.

-Still looks like ****.

Other Feedback:

- Hairstyles; we lack them

- Blood effects look like my character was dipped in high gloss interior house paint. Even fresh blood isn't that shiny.

- Hair; is SO shiny that if I try to use the white hair color, it's so bright that it hurts your eyes. Hair shouldn't look like ultra gloss plastic.

- What size is that font? Size 6? Can I get size 12? I sit 3 feet from my TV (used as a computer monitor) and I can hardly read it.

- Loading screen; wait! why did my game crash? Oh wait it's just the loading screen. Can you have made the loading icon any freaking smaller?

- Qunari females: look like **** no matter what you do, hair choices are bad, hair is locked with your horn style, and head to body ratio is off.

- And what is with the disc 1 and disc 2? How about Install Disc and Game Disc?

Some are complain about the long load times, I can handle the load time if it would just render the textures and make is so I don't feel like I am playing this game with my glasses off. Wait maybe I will try that it might make it look better.

I am upset because I spent good money on this game, after spending two weeks on new play thru of DA 1 and DA 2. Then spent 2 hours fighting with the Keep website to upload my new save games, not the ones from years ago. And then I log in make my character only to find out that I can hardly stand to play the game. And I have played games when they haven't even been textured yet. I was really looking forward to this game, and now I am torn between playing it and getting a poor game experience or just saying F it and wait for Bioware to MAYBE get their **** together and fix what never should have been messed up in the first place.

Bioware pro tip; you need to play test ALL versions of the games you release. And I know some Mircosoft play testers who would be very happy to test the 360, ONE and PC versions.

Yeah i know that, but if you just give in? What message does that give- please corporations everywhere continue to crap on my head I love the smell of sh*t in the morning? I'm not naive, I'm just adverse to complying. So I won't.

How does SJW sound like anything other than a cool super hero name? Always thought that was an own goal for mysoginistic twits. And when you do have an issue that is actually due to ethics in video games who else you gonna call?

Although I'd also be happy to have gamergate d*cks try to take on Bioware too.

It'd be funny to have Bioware confused over why both 'groups' were attacking them. It'd also be fun to have gamergaters take on an issue that actually does have a moral dimension, although I think they'd just be in it to kick Bioware for what they perceive to be their 'evil politically correct agenda'. You can see their argument now, '... yeah, the reason they're not releasing patches is... something to do with transgender characters being shoved down our throat and stuff...' I love how they always use that phrase. 'Shoved down our throats.'- because that's what men have to put up with now, so much more than women have ever done...

Oh yeah, wait a minute, we're here to talk about Dragon Age.

Where was I?

Oh yeah Inquisition and tumblr?

Yeah, of course you're right to spread the message about the subtitles, I wouldn't worry about stirring up ire, whatever the political persuasion, hell I'd post my petition on the Fox News Network website if I thought it'd get more signatures...

Just got tweet back from Conal Pierse.

@PigBodine1 if you are experiencing issues, please report them on Answers HQ or to @dragonage

ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha freakin ha....

my response

@ConalPierse @dragonage ur joking? No answers, no responsibility taken. Read the thread http://forum.bioware.com/topic/522013-old-gen-ps3-and-xbox360-master-thread-bioware-please-fix-these-issues/  and take responsibility.

"Christ what is wrong with these EA autobot bozos, blah, blah, blah...."- that's what I'd like to write, I'm angry, who wouldn't be. But I don't want to be an ass so I'm going to be reasonable about the guys who brought us so many great games. Again I think these are still human beings trying to do their jobs. I just wish they would do that and not let us down.

It's exactly that, Pig Bodline. It is a job. Their job. They are lucky enough to do something they love doing and to work in a place they love going. But it is a workplace. After the ME3 joke ending, we were waiting for them about the DAI. Now, we are customers with little to no hope at all for ME4. We bring a fanbase together with trust but for that we need good work! Slowly, I'm turning to the direction of Zeboid games that show real work and real ameliorations from a game to an other. Since EA comes into play with Bioware, we are witnessing a slow but certain degradation.

I do something like that in my work, I'm fired. Everybody do that, everybody is fired. It is a ******** work, not a holy place bringed by a god that give them holy rights on their customers.

It's symptomatic of a bad trend in game design - "Ship it broken, we'll patch it later."

This has always happened to a degree, but it was much less acceptable in the days where patching was difficult - not everyone had internet access (not that everyone does now) and that meant a broken game was a broken game.

Say what you will about Ubisoft, but at least they scrambled like hell to patch AC Unity - it's up to patch four at the moment and a sizable four patches, IIRC, and gave their customers a free game because it was so damned buggy/broken. Bioware's just kinda him-hawing about it and we're almost two months after release.

In fact, for console gamers it begins with the xbox360/PS3 generation. With the HDD space inside the console, they can finally put updates. At the beginning of the gen, the games were fine but the more the time flew, the less the games are finished.

Yep AC Unity is mess but at least Ubisoft is taking the responsibility, apologising and fixing it. When BW is just ignoring customers and blaming hardware of bugs in their game.

It's also ridiculous of they keep saying people should report problems in Answers HQ and @dragonage. Only thing you get there is same PR BS like everywhere and you can't really report problems there to Bioware's devs that can fix the problems. Seriously they should read their own feedback section, it's ridiculous that Mr.Conan even said that they don't usually read this section like wtf.
