It's pretty much obvious that they don't care anymore about the last gen version. I have stated this a few times here: this thread is open here just for the sake of people with old gen versions have a place to air their grievance and to, well, basically, "collect them into one place" so that they don't spread their negativity on the entire Dragon Age forum.
Kind of like... quarantine zone for the diseased that no one cares
Face the music, guys. They don't care about any of you. I am sorry to be so blunt like this, really I am, but they just don't care about you. To think otherwise is just denial and hopeless wishing on your part.
"Care about you"? How old are you, 12? This isn't about "caring" or fanservice, it's about proper business practices! Paying full price for a game with so many bugs is borderline rip-off in my opinion and there's only so much a company can get away with before they have to face the music.

They will fix it and heres why
Its called greed
They didnt do us a favor and release the game on last gen. They did it for money .
Problem is when they release dlc they want that market share. Theres millions of potential dollars/currency
The game currently looks, plays and sometimes sounds like crap on most old gen. My prediction is they patch it before dlc
If the pc/nextgen elites think they wont do it they are wrong. That money is desired and the amount of effort is minimal. Decisions will be handeddown by people who font know code and dont care
They have no need to fix it. They know plenty of last gen people will still buy the DLC, DLC that will likely be as broken as skyrim's DLC was at release. You believe the fallacy that enough people won't buy games anymore from bad companies. We haven't reached that point enough to make them care.

Actually, it IS about caring. It's a business decision. They don't care about us, or our ability to play the game. They care only about maintaining a large share of their customer base. They have, and they will. The number of people who want a refund or won't buy in the future is negligible compared to the money saved from properly fixing the game, and focusing on pushing more DLC out the door.

The don't care about anyone, that's my point. I don't understand why people keep thinking of developers as Christmas elves, "making games and bringing smiles on little kid's faces". What they care about is generating a profit as I'm sure all of us are aware of. And the only reason they manage to do that is because people keep buying faulty products and then defending them.
Buying this game was a mistake but I won't make it twice. I won't buy another Bioware game unless I'm 100% certain that it works properly, even if that means waiting 1-2 years. I hope the rest of their dissatisfied customers do the same.

Of course BioWare is out to make money, but I really think it is borderlining on fraud to release a game that has so many issues as Dragon Age Inquisition has and then pretty much ignoring their customers when they turn to them for help. Especially considering that some paying customers can't get the game to run at all. They pretty much bought a very expensive coaster. And it is not just old gen console-gamers that's suffering. I know people who has run into many bugs and glitches on both PC and new gen consoles too.

Again, why did they release the game on first gen consoles then?? If they did this knowing full well that the game wouldn't work as intended then it is fraud. Maybe we are in denial as you say, but that doesn't change the fact that we paid the same ammount of money as you have for a game with some pretty serious issues. If BioWare just released the game with no intention of actually making it work on old gen consoles and only as a way to earn money then according to Swedish laws that is a crime, and I for one am going to get in touch with The Swedish Consumer Department and report BioWare. This might sound silly to you, but the SCD does have power and they can force BioWare to give me a refound.

I am not saying that you folks have no right to grief. You guys (and I, since I too bought a PS3 digital version) have ALL the right to be pissed off at Bioware/EA.
It's just that I honestly don't think you will get the answer you folks are looking for from Bioware. They just don't care. So no matter how many times you guys scream in here, they just couldn't care any less.
So, if you folks really want Bioware to, as sickandtiredofyou (what a proper user name btw, hahaha) face the music, do actually do stuff like the bolded above; if the bolded above can give you a solution, and force Bioware to pay attention, then by all means, I really really hope you pursue it. Maker only knows they wouldn't give a **** otherwise, and I think you folks know it too.

Hi guys, I've been following this thread for a little while, I got my game for christmas and was totally shocked at the awful textures that I sought out information to see if there would be a patch for it but then I saw you guys had far worse issues. The treatment of us last gen users is really awful and I can see you're all nearing the end of trying but I think you all need to keep going as it's really not fair that they're able to get away with this. I mean wasn't DAI originally intended for last gen? then it got delayed and revamped for next gen? At the end of the day you guys should be able to play the game! (even if it's pretty ugly) I'm quite early on I've had one save freeze, the graphical texture issues and some dialogue sounding like simish but I'm able to play the game though I'm pretty disappointed with how it looks at times especially in cutscenes. Anyway I hope you all don't give up, I'm going to sign the petition and spread it round to people I know too!

Please, stop ignoring your old gen customers! We paid as much as those who bought the game for PC/XboxOne/PS4. We expected to get a game that we could play on our consoles, not this glitchy bug-riddled mess that is Dragon Age Inquisition. A lot of us can't even play the game at all due to disc read errors and sound completely going mute after Patch 2 and other major problems and issues.
We have reported this many, many times on the EA Help forum and gotten no replies at all. You need to step up and acknowledge that there are serious glitches and bugs ruining DA I on Xbox360/PS3. If the problems can't be solved then we should be able to get our money back. Right now a lot of people think you released the game on old gen consoles knowing full well that it wouldn't work and they, including myself, feels cheated and robbed. This is not what I expected from you, BioWare. Please, at least talk to us.

I think people need to take a deep breath and calm down, developers won't respond to people when they're generating such a toxic atmosphere.
At the end of the day open world games are notoriously difficult to quality check. Most of the open-world games I've played had some problems associated with it. Red Dead Redemption crashed for me every 15 minutes and regretfully I never was able to play it, Oblivion started giving me issues about 50 hours in and of course Skyrim is virtually unplayable on the PS3. I don't know if GTA ever gave any problems because I've never played them...
Also this is Bioware's first open-world game since BG2. The content seems enjoyable but yes there are problems all over the place. That just comes with inexperience. It's gonna take them a long time to fix (PC issues, multi-platform issues, last gen issues) and yelling and throwing insults won't exactly make them work faster.
Things like "a lot of people suspect you released the games on old-gen consoles knowing full well they wouldn't work" is just blatently ignoring the facts, which are that a lot of people can play the game just fine on old-gen consoles. Statements like this may have been why you were blocked on Facebook.

And if you look around on the different gaming boards, there are a lot of angry voices asking that very question: Did they release DA I on old gen consoles knowing full well that they would have to crop the game down til the point that it would become unstable/not work for everyone just to make more money?
I'm not speaking for everyone here, which I have tried to point out time and time again, and I am doing my very best to keep a civil, positive tone and not add to the animosity, and I know full well that there are some lucky people who has copies of the game that works and that they are happy with. I am happy for you. I wish I was one of you. But that doesn't change the fact that I, and a lot of people with me, paid around $60 for a game that doesn't deliver what the devs made us believe it would.

I am on a lot of gaming boards, and not really the most prominent thing I see. I'm sure there are quite a few such accusations but it's not exactly a sensible position, and I don't think a whole heap of people would subscribe to it.

The devs aren't omnipotent and won't be able to tell if a game will work on every console on release, that's just a fact. It doesn't just apply to Bioware, it applies to ALL gaming companies. Thinking this is all a grand conspiracy is quite ludicrous.
Let me ask you this, how many hundreds of thousands of copies would Bioware sell on the last gen consoles? Now ask yourself how many people you've seen complaining? How many signatures have your petition received?
Yes, you should be able to get your money back. In Australia EBgames have a 7-day return policy no questions asked, I'm not sure what the standard procedure is for returning games but if it doesn't work something should be able to be worked out. But the hyperbole and over the top drama, tears of betrayal etc etc are just not productive.

The devs did state that the game would look good and play good on old gen consoles during those pre-launch stream things. I clearly remember that because I wasn't sure up until that point if the game was going to be released on PS3/360 at all. And that was one of the things that made me save up and buy the game.
As for being overly dramatic, I am sorry if I come off that way, but spending that much money on a game is a huge thing. I live under the povertyline here in Sweden, which I know is still a hell of a lot better than living under the povertyline in say third world countries, but that doesn't mean it isn't a struggle. Because it is. Dragon Age Inquisition was going to be my gift to myself, the thing I could take refuge in when reality became too harsh. It will probably be the only game I can afford to buy for the next year or so. So, yes. I do feel cheated and robbed and betrayed. And BioWare not even taking the time to let us know if there will be a patch dealing with the problems (not claiming that everyone have problems, but some of us do) that makes the game less than what it should be, does strike me as very arrogant. They got my money and now they want me to shut up and go away. Or at least that is what it looks like from my end of things.
I'm usually on forums dedicated to RPG-gaming, and there are rumours about BioWare releasing the game despite knowing it wouldn't work properly for everyone. And the same thing has been written in threads both here and on the EA Help forum more than once. I really, really hope that it isn't true, but that doesn't change the fact that that is one of the things people, who had the bad luck of getting copies of the game that just won't work, is expressing. And even though I am hoping it isn't true, I can't help but to wonder if there might not be some truth to it after all.
Since I removed the plastic wrapper I can't get a refound at the store where I purchased the game. I'll have to go through the Swedish Consumers Department, which I will do if it turns out that there is no patch coming that will solve the problems I am having with my copy of the game.
English isn't my first langauge and I am aware that I might end up using expressions and wording wrong, so if I have in any way managed to include those gamers who have copies of the game that works well and that they are happy with in any of my posts, then I apologise. I never meant to insult anyone by coming off as trying to speak for anyone but myself and those of us who has copies of the games either not running at all or running but having serious issues.

My sympathies. I hope things start looking up for you.
Yeah, the modern gaming industry isn't a very kind place to people such as you. I understand where you're coming from, until recently I wasn't even able to connect my console to the internet which meant I couldn't download patches, so the whole industry felt like a minefield.
I don't know what I can say, the AAA industry is probably not your friend so you'll have to be very careful. I'd definitely go through the Swedish Consumers department and try and get a refund, I don't see these issues being sorted any time soon but there's no point raging at something you can't control. You probably don't need the added stress, and there's no point giving your loyalty to an industry which is so money-focused. I don't want to sound cynical, but it's looking like a good half a year before most of these issues get solved, and somebody said they were focusing on multi-console problems first?
And yeah, it did tick me off when I thought you were talking for everyone but it's not something worth apologising over ![]()
