Your hyperbole isn't helping matters, it is not unfinished and I highly doubt it's untested.

And the atmosphere was toxic on the forums BEFORE they stopped responding.

They only responded like...once.

Edit: It was just some one-off damage control response.Nothing more ,nothing less. They popped in and popped out. That was it.

What? I think there are plenty of things that seem unfinished. Skyhold, for example.

Skyhold unfinished. That is funny on so many levels. :D

On a serious note though, I agree with you. Even after having played the PC-version of the game with nice graphic and working audio, the game does feel like there are parts missing. Maybe there will be DLC adding plots and more choices and things like that? I'm hoping patch 3 will be released prior to any DLC, and that it will deal with some of the problems we've reported.

Mine too. I'm lucky enough that my boyfriend got it for PC so I've been able to play it from beginning to end on his fancy, state of the art PC.

Bioware couldn't fix the major save game corruption bug in DA2 so I doubt they'll ever fix the banter bug. They even gave the same excuse that they couldn't replicate it.

:(

I didn't know that. I wasn't even aware that there was such a bug in DA2. It's always worked perfectly for me. But I don't doubt you. I am hoping that you are wrong though, and that they'll somehow will be able to fix the banter bug in DA I. I know it's not looking good, but I'm still going to hope for a fix.

I pointed out that saying Bioware released the game knowing it wouldn't work for 360 users is a conspiracy theory, and blatantly ignores facts. Octarin found that argument FAR too difficult to argue against, so instead he pushed a different statement onto me ("You think people having real problems are conspiracy theories?") and argued against that instead. That's the very definition of a strawman, and he's been doing it the whole God-damn day.

Well, let's see the thing with a calm mind.

They made beta-test on their own. Only on the PS4 and XboxOne? No. They made it on multiple plateforms with differences in hardware (lot of diff between the PS3 and 360) so they probably do it on all the plateforms.

I put out the way all the grafical problems. The hardware of the older consoles is probably a big part of the problem here.

All the problems meeted by the PC community can come by the immense variety of hardwares.

So, we have 4 Hardwares with little to no differences : Any PS3 has the same hard, with only little changes over the year of production.

Now, we have DAI on Xboxone and PS4 working fine and a lot of bugs on PS360.

Four possibilities :

1 : Bioware understimates the % of issues on the older gen, finding the amount of mortal bugs tolerable.

2 : Bioware put more fund and people on the new-gen who is the hardware with the bigger progression rate in the years to come and was too lazy to follow the testing on the old-gen.

3 : Some totally unexpected and completely uncontrollable bug creator happened between the beta-testing and the final release.

4 : Bioware launched an old-gen version just for the show "look, we are good to the old-gen fans!"

It's sad, but they don't give us a lot of reason to belive in them anymore. The fact that they talk immediatly about the key drop bug that is only related to the cash-grabing MP is not a good signal too...

Exactly how chipper do you expect people to be with the mass of problems last gen has been having?  If you make a product, and it's got a lot of issues, and you're..meh...about it, don't really address your customers, that's on you.  You don't get the luxury to cross your arms and demand your customers drop the attitude before you fix the problems and communicate.  That's an obligation of running a business.

They operate at OUR convenience, they address OUR demands.  Not the other way around.

I am SO upset! When I was just 18 hours in, almost done with Hinterlands completely, I died during the Bear Claw quest. This triggered the loading screen, but then it froze right there. It ended up corrupting my save files (I had multiple, but all were saved in the Hinterlands, and none worked). Now I'm too afraid to re-enter the Hinterlands at all!

I have since restarted and now I'm 38 hours in, and now suddenly, out of no where, I have no sound at all. The sound only returns after I go back to the starting menu and select a previous save file. I have encountered dialogue glitches, but they were minor until now.

A lot of us are having these problems! Please at least announce that you're working on these problems Bioware! We just want to play our game!

I have an Xbox 360 Slim.

Just thought I'd add in some things I've noticed with multiplayer, since I enjoy it a lot, but these issues are killing it for me:

- With the dlc the animals, seems like canine types in particular can walk through walls and often leads to them getting stuck outside of the map.  I've seen this behavior with Red Templars too.

-Also sometimes an enemy will freeze and become unkillable, though sometimes if you attack them long enough they will die, but it may or may not fix the zone.

-Also sometimes zone 5 after you kill all the enemies you will be prompted to locate the door so you can advance...since there is no door to open, well you get hosed.

Granted these issues aren't as bad if you're playing with friends and can do a private match, because reseting the zone usually resolves the issue.  Its a hassle and if you're in a public game you likely will not be able to get back into the game if you were host.

They don't respond anywhere and what's even bigger problem is lack of communication in their side in terms of what they know are issues and what they are going to fix. Also you can go far with simple apology as well.

My dear, you can go EVERYWHERE with a simple apology. :)

EA has released their estimate of how much they expect to make on 2015 from DLCs alone. It was over 1 million dollars. Will there be DLC plugs to fill in all the placeholders? You can bet that on the racetrack and wall street.

I'm wondering if BW will soon focus on DLC's and let the game be unpatched from then on since they don't really get money for patching stuff. I'm quite nervous on how much they will patch at all and what they will leave unpatched :S

Although there was talk on how Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption are buggy or even unplayable on PS3 but from my own experience this isn't truth anymore (unless there is big inconsistency) since I haven't any problems with Skyrim and although Red Dead Redemption is quite buggy and clitchy it isn't anywhere near unplayable and most bugs are funny (it's about as buggy as DAO Ultimate Edition on my PC). So if these games got patched to playable state, probaply BW will do that as well, at least I sincrely hope they do since I don't know what I have to do if they don't XD

I personally hope they patch the playability issues on the old gens, however, I'm going to return the game, and wait to get it when I manage to get an xbone, it just isn't worth it with that level of shitty graphics as far as I'm concerned.

Also, I've been bugging them for several days now on their facebook page every time they make a new announcement, but truth be told, I don't think they will do anything about us. There are thousands of people who praise the game and it seems that we are simply lost in the tide. I'll keep on bugging them till they get tired of me and ban me, at which time I plan to start bugging them with my other profile as well :P Who knows... have lost all hope of actually playing this game by now though.

Well I was willing to give keyip the benefit of the doubt until that last statement. The atmosphere may have been toxic on other threads but on this one it's been nothing but polite. Panda set this thread up with a mission statement of not being rude to devs etc And we have abided by that up until a couple of days ago when our sarcasm glands had become so filled with righteous incredulity that a few of us had to be obliquely satirical. Having said that we still haven't resulted to swearing- screaming- chucking the dummy out of the pram, etc. As for the issue of strawmen? Everyone goes off on tangents occasionally and Octarin seems to be blessed with an impish sense of humour that may lead them to be somewhat provocative to potential trolls. I believe that comedic agression may be a viable perogative for those who have been fleeced by a multinational corporation like EA and are then told to 'get over it'.

Anyway, it's not worth dwelling on.

Har had dee har ... [lol dummy off the pram, that was a new one for me, admittedly, never heard of that before thanks for that :) Had stayed to the chucking the baby out with the water, which is pretty old, but this one seems to be a newer one]

Yep I think the one of biggest problem is that the game is cross-gen game and it seems like BW doesn't have to care of old gen customers cause new gen customers are happy and they are caring of PC players to make them happy as well. So unlike with AC Unity that's messy on new gen and PC and only released for them Bioware doesn't feel need to patch the game for us cause they can always hide behind "This is supposed to be new gen game, it can't be good in old gen but it's great on new gen!" unlike Ubisoft.

I just hope I'm wrong and BW is fixing with full-stream old gen bugs and issues and doesn't have even time to address anything cause they are so busy in fixing our game.... naah I doubt this is it, they don't just care much ^^;

Hey there, and welcome to the Old Gen thread. :) Thank you for listing your problems with the game. If you haven't done so already, please sign the petition created to make BioWare address those and other problems we're having with DA I on old gen consoles. If you have a twitter or facebook account you can use that to contact BioWare and the developers to help bring focus to these problems. You find names and information in the OP. I hope we'll see you around, marrer. :)

Oh, dear... I haven't even thought about that. And now that I am, I really want to stop. That is like the nightmare scenario. That means we're screwed. Unless we can create such a racket that they simply can't keep ignoring us. We should seriously consider contacting IGN and other large gaming sites/magazines and things like that if that happens.

I have started getting a lot of random hard-freezes after saving on my game.  Only way I can turn the thing off is to walk up and hit the power button, then wait for about 3 seconds.  Hasn't destroyed any save files yet on me, thankfully.

Might also just be my Xbox, might need a dusting.

One of the many issues that last gen players are finding.  I have to do that on my relatively new PS3.
