Maybe.... patch 3 is the "unity patch" to make all versions as rubbish as last gen? I seriously dredd to think what it`ll do to our last gen edtions, im thinking the disk will just self destruct at this rate!

You might be right. Patch 3 might very well be the Lament Configuration. Once we've downloaded it and the disc has self destructed we will all be haunted by Isolde from Origins. *shudders*

Well seeing how patch 2 messed PC I think this was something to be excepted. I guess Bioware releases hotfix soon though.

I couldn't have said it better myself. :)

Like many of us, I started out by posting my problems on the EA Help forum. I posted in threads centred on the problems with DA I on old gen consoles and when no one from EA replied I created my own thread, listing the various glitches and bugs that is ruining the game for me and the only replies I got was from other users on the forum stating that I was lying because their games worked, or that I was a moron for being stupid enough to buy the game for Xbox360 and that I should be content with the fact that it started. I've never posted on the EA Help forum again.

It was why I stopped posting on EA.  There was no help from the supposed help forum.

More than 1/2 way through and shocked how bad western approach looked graphic wise compared to other areas. It may only be me but area such as hinterlands with rocks and trees look lots better than snow areas and sand. My goal is one playthough and then if i get the ps4 to weigh this game against other games

Patch 3 for the PC isn't all that good either, you can see it on their thread. Walk mode doesn't function properly, armor is reduced to zero in some cases, and some more important requests aren't fulfilled with it. So, yeah.

gzzWgWT.jpg

*edit* aaand it doesn't import world states anymore. so, yeah.

Everyone is allowed to make everything, it's something called Free Enterprise. Even the japs made **** burgers. At least with the **** burgers you know beforehand you're eating something made of ****, and it's up to you to eat it or not. Unless they hire EA's publicists, in which case, I'm never buying another burger ever again!

I don't know about Emprise Du Lion, that area looks ok on last gen. Western Approach and Oasis though, the desert texture looks bad. :crying:

The difference between the burger and the game is you know what the burger is.  Selling a broken game and using broken patches is akin to selling a **** burger but advertising it as a chicken sandwich.  Free enterprise doesn't allow everyone to make anything.  There are laws, to protect people from fraud and negligence.

Well not in this case, cause there are no international laws protecting us. Simple as that.

Plus if you agree to origin's terms you cannot file lawsuits against Bioware and EA unless you opt out.

Time to send an email to the BBB and let them know EA and bioware at it again

It's been over a month since I've been able to so much as start the game now. Every time the trophy sync reaches 100% the game just freezes.

I decide to give Bioware one last chance after the Mass Effect 3 debacle and this is what I get...

It's official, never buying any of their games any less than a year after release ever again. Also from now on I'm only buying Bioware stuff used to so they don't get any of my money. They went from one of my favorite game makers to a flipping joke.

That really sucks.  Paying $60-$70, well if you are in the US, and getting a non-working game.

I will likely check the forums, before applying Patch 3 once it is released for Xbox 360 / PS3 to gauge overall feedback.  Hopefully Bioware will have figured out what exactly broke Armor Rating of (pre-patch 3) Crafted Shields, in Patch 3 for PC players, and will have corrected that issue so Console players don't have the same negative experience as PC players did.

A lot of people on this thread have already spoken to EA Help. Customer service doesn't really feel like customer service if it doesn't supply a) an answer to a problem or b ) at least the promise to get you a manager callback with some form of an answer in 48 hours. I understand you're patching a game, and that's difficult, and it isn't simple to respond to every request, etc- so therefore you need a different model of customer service. However Bioware were silent about these old gen problems for some weeks- I'm not just talking about a blanket reassurance that vague problems will be fixed. I'm talking about giving us a) an assurance these specific issues will probably be fixed or b ) that they can't be fixed and that you will sticker the product with a warning that it may not work on older old gen consoles. We've been supplying you with info since the start of this process and I'm glad to see you're still collating data but we would have liked to get more feedback ourselves. For instance have you got even the roughest of timetables as to when the old gen console patch will be released? It's taken a lot of going onto public spaces to get a response from you guys. I know it was the holidays, but just some reassurance or a definite no earlier would have been nice. Also, if it is a definite no and these issues can't be fixed- then how about all those people who hung onto their copies and now can't get a full refund for a game that is crashing every ten minutes or so? Will that be addressed?

Same here i was hype for this game and even more when they announced the qunari, but  after 35 crash of the game in nearly 2 month (soon 3),waited like 1 blasted month after the game release to get the soundtrack and it the full one too, armor with the damn race retriction and none unique look for qunari (yes i know i'll talk about of the qunari) the best looking armor for qunari is ont he damn mp but spending like 100$ for a broken game,

Like 40% of the game i'll enjjoy and 60% dislike cause it seen that this game was rush infor the old gen and also on customization,it gonna be a long time before i can enjoy any of bw game.

So yeah after the first 2 patch and nothing was fix,who say that the 3th one will work or just mess up the game even more

We have put too much trust in BW and we forget they work under ea so yeah this is just lame on so many levels and i am just tired of all this, this is maybe my last post on this topic to much bad waves, even so this topic started with good motive and peoples.

I don't think anyone here has forgotten that Bioware now works under EA's leash. We are all very much aware of it infact. Some large part of our problem is that.

I leave two or three days, came back and find a battlefield...

No Patch 3 for me until you fix your patch before release. If the new patch 3 gives the SAME problems that the PC players suffers from, it will be a tempest of ****.

Going back to the PSVita now, to an new JRPG that work fine without any patchs. No crash, no freeze, no brocken inventory. Yes, Bioware, some people can still work finely.

What is really getting my goat now is that no-one is reporting this.

Every time Bioware releases a new patch you get a news story like this:

http://www.gamespot....l/1100-6424741/

Everything is great, Bioware are fixing everything... so where was the story reporting it was broken in the first place?

Also of course, whilst they are reporting that these great fixes are coming, there is no-one addressing all the other issues with the game, and certainly there is never any reference to it being flat out broken on some older gen consoles.

This year was the year of gamergate.

A year of celebration for games magazines everywhere.

Through the work of a large number of individual idiots any chance for a real, genuine movement that addresses issues of ethics in gaming journalism was destroyed. In moments of paranoia I sometimes wonder if the horrendous mysoginy we saw on display in that particular movement was actually engendered and kindled by a press that doesn't want it's inherent bias questioned. Then i think again- you open the crap door on the interent and there are some hideous subhumans who will always crawl out, and you probably don't need to fabricate prejudice, it just grows like mould.

However, having said that, even though gamergaters have been awful in what they've said and done it doesn't mean that every freaking media outlet isn't in the pockets of commerce as well. You've got to ask yourself what is the chances of a publication like the Mary Sue printing an article on any of this? You'd think quite high given the issue of subtitles- and how that is clearly excluding the deaf community- they are known for championing good causes in connection with gaming, after all, arent they? But then you look at their website and see "Inquisition!" adverts everywhere and it's clear that they get a large amount of their income from Bioware advertising there. It doesn't require Bioware to ring them up and say don't report on this- I'm not a conspiracy theorist, it just requires that a journalist knows in the back of their mind who is paying to keep their publication going.

So is it even possible to get the message out there?

Maybe not... but I'm still not giving up.

3/4 of the way there.

Ethics is gaming journalism? Seriously? Death and rape threats to female devs equals to ethics in gaming journalism? Doxing and swatting women in the gaming industry has something to do with ethics or journalism suddenly? Ethics means you're allowed to threaten the life of a developer's husband and child and threaten to rape her till she's bleeding to death? I really don't wanna get into THAT discussion please. It is not relevant to our issue here, and I won't enjoy seeing this thread going down that way. So, can we please skip the dialectics of any sort and focus on the problems at hand?

Not going to touch this either, but I will say that I am pretty disappointed in the gaming "journalist" sites.  Not only have they avoided discussing any of the issues that we are running into with DA on the last gen today, they left it out when they did the reviews for the game, actually I still wonder are there reviews of the game on the last gen?  Sure some of our problems may have not been apparent at the time of their reviewing, but certainly the graphics and audio would have.

Lemme clue you folks in, as coming from a journalistic family and following suit somehow:

There is NO such thing as ethics in journalism. There should be, yeah. Everyone acknowledges this. But there isn't. Gaming journalism or any other kind of journalism. Get used to it.

I know for a fact, I'm not touching Patch 3 until I know it won't break my game further like what's happening with PC players right now.
