Howdy! I've noticed quite a few new people posting on here recently- so I'm just reiterating that if you agree this game needs fixing on old gen consoles please sign the petition and copy and paste the link below to your posts and help spread the word- send messages to magazines, post the link on other forums, go onto facebook and share with your friend-list, tweet, etc. Every little bit helps. Bioware need to know there is enough of us to warrant them making changes to the game. Given how much money EA have just announced they've made? Then they really oughtta cough up to compensate the few of us still stuck with copies who are unable to get a full refund- if that's really only a small percentage of the total number of people who've played Dragon Age. I know that's more than unlikely they'd do a refund, and honestly I'd rather they fix it than reimburse, so please help drive those numbers up on the petition- it's just another way for them to guage how many of us are experiencing this. Cheers!
Old gen (PS3 and XBOX360) master thread, Bioware please fix these issues!

I had actually singed the petition before I made my first post, but I went ahead and copy/paste the link in my signature. Been trying to spread the word around social media as well, and I was going to start cruising the forums a bit. If we can manage to make enough of an impact and show these are not isolated minute problems then Bioware will eventually give us some attention and a fix.
Yeah, EA really has no excuse now, not with a profit margin like that, and I would much rather have a working game than just a refund. (I also seriously doubt there will be any refund to be had, anyway) Last I checked the petition was at around 160, so we are inching close to that 200 mark. I KNOW there are more people out there that are having the same major playability issues we are, and this is one of the few threads I have found discussing this in depth and trying to actually make some progress towards a solution for old gen players. I have been hoping that someone would pick this up in the gaming world and write an article about it, that would really help, since the majority of articles and reviews have given infinite amounts of praise to the game, completely ignoring old gen playability.

Patch 3 info that I got from another thread: https://twitter.com/...215361635192832
@BioMarkDarrah Any word on when patch 3 will roll out for all platforms? Please don't just say "the future"... A time frame please
@JCPuddles it is in certification now...
So this should at least confirm that patch 3 will be released on consoles as well and since it's in certification it should come rather soon.

I don't know, Sony seems to take a lot longer with their certification, considering how long it takes them to get some DLC. Like with Skyrim, for instance. Hopefully the console Patch 3 is a bit better than the PC Patch 3...

That is good news! If nothing else it is a step down the right path. Here's to hoping this is a MASSIVE fix for everyone.

Unless it is a PS3 exclusive, DLC does seem to take quite a while, we are usually last in line. However, updates and patches seem to not take quite as long, at least in my experience. Definitely more worried about it being better than the PC patch and not creating MORE problems for us. I think we have enough already. XP I am hoping it will at least allow me to play the game with minimal problems. I can't even make real judgements on much of the gameplay because I have seen so little of it.

Well, now it is time to try the "short stick lottery". Who will download the patch 3 and may suffer more severe issues that we have now? I'll try to download it because I don't have any hope to finish the game anymore. Somebody else?

Since my game is already unplayable, I will DL it as well.

Man, I feel lucky that I'm not suffering as many problems as some of you people here on PS3. Man, I find it funny that ME1 had scars and ME3 had way better graphics on last gen consoles than Inquisition. They just didn't bother. I bet if Inquisition was released purely on PS3 and 360, the game would look way better.

Same here. It can't get any worse than being unable to get past the trophy sync... It's been over a month since I've gotten past that...

IGN, Mary Sue, Angry Joe... the list of people I've tried contacting and telling is fairly long. You tell them there's a thread with over 85,000 views and they still don't give a toss. However having said that if you try bugging journalists- even the ones I already have, maybe they'll finally listen? I think it's worth keeping on at this- just in case patch 3 is a bust. I think in some cases with magazines it's a 'don't rock the boat- Bioware advertsing revenue issue', with others I guess they don't see it as a story. You need ME3 ending numbers of people to turn it into a major issue worth reporting on. I think an awful lot of people have experienced issues but they're not unified, or can't be bothered to complain- it's reaching those people and getting them to take a few seconds to sign the petition that's the key. Unfortunately i don't have EA's marketing division to get the message out there. Anyone who helps spread the word, yourself included, I just want to thank for taking the time to actually engage meaningfully. Cheers!

Yep, thats for sure. I don't really feel like they even tried with the porting. It's like they chose engine, size of game and everything according best hardware and then after the game was crafted were like: Oh, we promised that game will run on old gen and low graphic PC's as well. Oh well, let's squeeze it in, I'm sure it will work!
Shouldn't all decisions that can't be changed like engine etc. be chosen so that the lowest hardware, that they promised the game will be for, will run game well? And then upgrade graphics and other things on top of that so that the game will look best possible on highest hardware but still the design will work and the game will perform well on lowest hardware as well?

I really thought that was how it is supposed to work as well. Design it to where it is amazing on new gen and still awesome on old gen. You know, the same game basically just with graphical differences, NOT the graphical differences we got, but something a old gen player would have expected out of a decent port.
Looks like we were wrong though, they are just going to wing it with one eye closed and pray to the maker it turns out alright, then handle the repercussions later by throwing around DLC and completely ignoring anyone with "retro" problems.

Well, for now we are waiting for the new patch. Currently, some of us can't even launch the game since November. Others can't progress in the game. We are patient fans but three whole months between the buying and the playing is more than borderlines...

Now playing dao and although its outdated there are so many elements i love missing from this game
Traps
Webs
Cutting off enemies heads
Stats
Really good braided beards
Treasure is obvious
Heavy armor for my dwarven noble
Good luck to all that stick with it. I got about 75% through game. Best feature was the voice especially my dwarf.

I had this game for two months.
I was able to play it fine on my White PS3 phat from Japan and then YLOD on me again. So I replaced the system with a Super Slim, now I'm stuck like some of you who cannot get past the Synchronizing trophies at 100% on start up.
Could this game have not been tested with the Super Slim PS3?

Tossed game in trash last night. May take another look at it when i get a new system. I started getting the cant read disc error. No game is worth the frustration that this game caused me.

I haven't tossed mine yet. Just hoping at some point it will be enjoyable and playable as I don't plan on upgrading my ps3 yet. Still have a bunch of games to finish on it. I did start DAO again and it's still hard to believe the same company made both of these games. DAO is just plain steps above DAI in so many ways. Surprising even character graphics are better in DAO imho. The only thing I like better in DAI is the environmental graphics, when they actually work. Oh and the plentiful dragons. I do love the dragons! DAI just feels dumbed down from DAO. I did like what I was able to play, I just like DAO so much better.

I really hope patch 3 fixes things for you guys, but this has gone on so long, I was watching a vid last night on the controvsy of Silent Hill HD and the stink that caused, yet this a game port that is even worse gets nextto zero attention from gaming mags and reviews and wins GOTY. Welcome to the "new gen" of bull**it gaming.

So, I got my first BSN ban.
And now I'm back. But I loved it, telling that idiot off and I'd do it again. Anyway, to the point, I am hearing about this new Patch 4? Has it been implemented and is it fixing anything at all? I am going to go hand my copy in at the used-games store tomorrow, hopefully I'll get some pittance back. And after that, it's goodbye Dragon Age as far as I'm concerned.

Nevermind, I read the explanation of it, patch 4 is the shield hotfix for patch 3- mod said it's better to call it patch 4 than patch 3 hotfix, so it doesn't actually fix anything new, LOL, I'm outta here.... when they start taking people seriously, I'll be back. Have fun y'all.

As someone else with the super slim who is having the exact same problem, I believe that may be the case.
Although it ran for months OK for me before this glitch started happening... Maybe one of the updates didn't mesh well with the super slim?

Same here, I never thought about that before, but it is possible. I was originally playing on my old PS3 slim, but my disc reader finally stopped working so I bought a super slim.
I had some free time after work last night so I uninstalled/reinstalled everything DAI to see if maybe it would fix something, but to no avail. (big surprise right?)
Trophy sync of all things... On the peak of a mountain of glitches and bugs. Maker, what a nightmare.
