Well that sucks then. Maybe my save was corrupted or something. I might go and try reloading an older save and see what happens. If that doesnt work, I could try re downloading the new update. Crosses fingers.

Will the patches help with the cut scenes on the PS3. Like Solas drinking tea but the cup not being in his hand but floating next to his hand, Josephine arm going though her desk when she writes. Sera sex scene when she fall of the bed she disappear or she suck in the bed.

Does people have trouble with the bow armed rouge as my sometimes my aims the bow in a different direction to where she is firing at

Just installed patch 4, have yet to to see the patch notes for consoles, but here we go...

 

Still having occasional freezing problems. Not at trophy sync it seems, but at the start menu, and when loading into a saved game. 

 

My original save is working, however, and I was able to load into the game after 2 tries.

 

Textures are still a terrible mess (texture issues weren't addressed in this patch, but thought I would mention it)

Varric is clipping in and out of rocks and other objects in combat.

 

Party banter seems to be working

 

I started a new file, and I played it to the point I was at in my original (not very far, about an hour in). Didn't notice any differences, encountered all the same bugs/glitches that I remember (except massive freezing) and one new thing: I had some enemies disappear after engaging them in a fight (Hinterlands).

 

So far all that is different for me is less freezes/crashes, but they are still there. You should be able to get slightly better performance, but not much else it seems. If I notice anything else i will post it. Not sure how much more I am going to venture into the game, we will see how it goes.

 

EDIT: I am going to wait til I see some patch notes, since I don't even know what else to look for.

No info of patch 3+4 on consoles? I tried to look out what BW has said but they only stated it's released and I couldn't find any patch notes which is odd. So if someone has loaded there patches do they fix something? Break something? I don't think I can update OP yet about this patch since I have zero idea what it does XD Seriously where are the patch notes..

Well SuperSlim PS3 owners, if you still haven't been able to play DA:I since the game's launch because of it freezing at Synchronizing trophies 100%.

 

 

This latest update....

 

FIXES NOTHING!!!!

 

 

I still got Synchronizing trophies.   I think I'm going to have upload this BS to Youtube.

Ironically googling "synchronizing trophies" + "PS3"+"freeze" turns up another game. Battlefield 3 that has users reporting the same problem.  Another EA game.

I have a SuperSlim, and am not having this problem anymore. Not sure if it has anything to do with the patch, but I can actually get past the sync now. Like I said I froze on the start menu twice though, and once when loading a game.

BF4 was an absolute DISASTER. Another dysfunctional child of Frostbite 3. 

 

Good luck, I hope you will be able to actually get some enjoyment out of this game at some point in the very near future. Two months is far too long as it is.

I can't even trade this garbage in. 

Gamestop won't do even game used trades past a certain period. 

 

They would only give me $22 trade in value for a game I paid $59.99 + 4.20 tax back on Nov. 28 to use to buy the USED copy of DA:I for 360 they are selling at $53.99 .  So the game must still be $59.99 brand new.

So they didn't fix any console unique problems? Seriously I'm getting so fed up with Bioware. They fix stupiest things like walk toggle but don't think crashing while auto-saving or corrupted saves are more important than that? This favoritism really. I guess I will never buy this game this rate.

Sadest part is I bet thi will be the last patch sure they might add "dlc support" but as far as fixes go clearly they couldnt care less :/

So I take it this doesn't fix the xbox disc unreadable error?

 

If that is the case- all the time they were telling us to wait for a patch, well that was just a delay tactic to get as many as possible of us to no longer care and to give up bothering them... they STILL haven't fixed the game. It still keeps crashing on xbox and ps3- and I don't think they can fix it. However they won't own up to it, won't take responsibility and sure as hell won't refund. Now is the time we need to start hammering them on social media again. It may not do anything but I for one do not want them to think they have just succeeded in sweeping us under the carpet.

Oh no we screwed up, we can't fix it, can't/ won't admit it and we don't care because look at the sales figures.

 

I know we're in a minority for the game being fully unplayable- but it's a buggy mess for other people too and goddamit this thread has over 87,000 views- that's a lot of people searching for why this game doesn't work on their console.

 

Please keep spreading the petition- please keep bugging devs, this is a disgrace.

@the Xbox360 folks:

 

My game had problems - lack of party banter, clipping, occasional freezing/crashes, inability to get through cut-scenes without skipping part of the dialogue, PC getting 'frozen' on a spot (not funny when you have almost killed a dragon) and unable to continue combat, personal quests not registering as completed even if the were or not reiggering at all, disappearing squad/npc/enemy parties, and those are the ones I can remember at the moment - but I did play to the end as, you know," lore and story are were important bases of a BW game" and you want to know how it ends, which is more than many of you have managed to do. So, I've decided that once I get home from work today (around 5:30 GMT) I'll download the patch since I already completed the game and see what happens.

 

I will report later and let you know if there is a risk of breaking the game even more or if anything has improved.

The only issue I still have is with textures. I'm surprised that the game can have all the problems in this thread though. Are all versions of DAI this jacked up or is it only old gen that is suffering so?

No. From what I have observed the one's with most problem to least problem are: PS3/XBOX360 (lot of same problems but some different) -> PC (most inconsistency, some can't play, some have zero problems) -> XBONE/PS4. I'm not sure which one between PS and XBOX have it worse since there is lot of similar problems but also different. Maybe XBOX360 is still worst cause disk unreadable error that some players have.

So I tweeted a bit with Allan about the patch notes and apparently PC notes are same as console notes from what I understood. This means no unique fixes for old gen consoles but some unique fixes for PC (again..).

They say they have been reading the thread but it doesn't at least show in any of patches at all.
