They are just waging a war of attrition.
Waiting for us to give up campaigning.
They only hold out the possibility of a solution as it stalls for time- by the time we work out it's bullhicky another tranch of us has given up campaigning.
It is either a) impossible, b ) they think it's impossible and they're not adept enough to fix it or c ) it's simply financially not worth it for them to deal with the freezing issues.
I'm guessing the latter.
It's an intermittent fault- effected by console, motherboard, individual disc error, etc...
Well, great.
Through their egrigious behaviour, through not taking responsibility, they've just created a small army of people who are going to keep kicking against every positive post they put up about their despicable company.
Maybe that doesn't matter.
Maybe there are not enough of us to put in the time to encourage enough people to not buy from Bioware- or at least to only buy second hand copies of their games.
Probably they've won.
What a triumph- taking someone for example, like myself, who's loved Bioware games since Jade Empire and vocally supported them as a shining example of fun, well written, inclusive and immersive rpgs and turning them into someone who perceives them as what they are- a shining example of what's wrong with business practices as we stagger, hungover into the twenty first century.
I've always understood that the bottom line is all that matters- and that the values that are sold to us in multibillion pound narratives of hope, justice and caring for all are just lip service paid by corporations to our naive notions of humanity.
However, for a brief post war period- when govts were in debt to the sacrifice of their populace & were frightened of revolution- it felt like we actually had some rights of redress.
That if a company sold goods that didn't work it would own up, apologise, and rectify it's mistakes. Be held accountable by law.
However if you're from Europe and you want to see what's coming for consumers, where we're going next, just google the take on the TTIP trade agreement that the Green party has.
Of course EA is American and Bioware is owned by them.
And EA has won awards for the worst customer service in America- personally I think that's unfair.
After all, EA has NO customer service- they have no complaints dept. for hecks sake.
They have a place to report faults, (for their own convenience), and no place to actually hold them to account.
No manager callback, no- yes we know this fault exists and we'll have it fixed in x number of weeks, no refund for those who can't get a full one from the stores they bought from- having held onto this game in the expectation it would be fixed.
I think we've waited long enough, don't you?
Any suggestions as to how else we can stick in their craw will be greatfully received.
