Make no mistake, we are THOUROUGHLY ignored, and Conal Pierse hinted at that very clearly, if you can read between the lines. We are diligently ignored.

You are correct. The more I read over it, the more I see it. Diligently is indeed the perfect description.

Yes. Precisely what I have, and apologists call this PLAYABLE. Well they can come and play with such graphics themselves, see how they like it.

Exactly what I have trouble understanding. You know if they had this horrendous excuse for graphical integrity, they would be right here with us, shouting injustice. Apologists... Bah! Always getting involved with issues that aren't affecting them or that they do not fully comprehend. That is at least the way it seems.

I don't see how ANYONE can deny these graphics are distractingly, disgustingly, disturbingly awful. Worse than I ever imagined or expected.

So patch 5 says "Improved stability." so I guess that's the entire thing fixed, right? Right?

Not sure about that. On an other thread, a lucky guy who doesn't had any serious issues got his new run crashed 3 times during the CC past Patch 5. Like all the others one, this new patch bring a vaultfull of bugs...

Since you fairly recently purchased an Xbox 360, I would recommend a few games based upon some that you mentioned:

1.  Alice: Madness Returns (3rd person action, adventure, platformer shooter with puzzles!) - about $20-30 USD

2.  Bioshock (the 1st game) - Very good story driven shooter - about $10-20 USD

3.  Borderlands 2 GOTY (with all DLC) - FPS Action, Shooter with RPG elements (very funny humor) - about $20-30 USD

4.  Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition - 3rd Person Action RPG (very fun 4 player online co-op) - about $30 USD

5.  Dishonored GOTY - First Person Action / Stealth game, very good story - about $20 USD

6.  Dungeon Siege III - 3rd Person Action RPG (4 player online co-op) - about $10-20 USD

7.  Fallout 3: GOTY - Very good First Person RPG Shooter (with stealth options) - about $20 USD

8.  Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning - Very good 3rd person Action RPG (with stealth options) - better than Fable - about $20 USD

9.  L.A. Noire - Story driven 3rd person Action Shooter (similar to GTA)  except you play as a 1940's Detective in LA - about $20 USD

10.  Wolfenstein:  The New Order - Very good FPS Story based Shooter (with some light RPG elements) - about $20-30 USD

Just to take my mind off this mess, hope you don't mind if I give a quick review of your choices?

1. Alice is a really underrated game- it has a lot of the charm of Psychonauts combined with the aesthetics of the Brothers Quay Street of Crocodiles. Don't normally like platformers but really enjoyed that one.

2. Would have probably loved this but it gave me such bad motion sickness due to menieres that I couldn't play it.

3. Yeah that's one of my favourite games right there, great design choices and humour. Borderlands is an absolute hoot- first fps I found i could play for long periods of time without getting motion sickness as well.

4. Couldn't get on with it, guess I'm just not that into that top down gameplay unless you make up for it with excellent dialogue and... wait a minute this is supposed to not be about Dragon Age isn't it...

5. Motion sickness again, same as Bioshock.

6. See 4

7. Well I just about finished Skyrim but damn, Bethesda don't make it easy for those of us who like decent acting/ dialogue in a game. Also Vats system - got hang of it, but  I'd rather use my middling skills at actually shooting a target myself.

8 Really enjoyed Amalur in a, is this the old xbox? kinda way. It was more fun than Fable 1 and 3, but Fable 2? I'd take issue with that.

9 LA Noire enjoyed it but there was something missing from this, but i can't tell you what that was- oh and the serial killer subplot was crapola...

10. Wolfenstein- this was awesome, as cheesy as Iron Sky and with a real sweet spot to the gunplay- COD esque but without the "AAAAmerica, hell yeah" right wing nonsense. You can always shoot Nazis in the face without feeling a pang of moral turpitude.

Don't know what the original list was that the original poster gave but i'd say to add to that....

In the list of criminally underrated games: Skate 2- which is amazing whether you give a stuff about skateboarding or not,

Rockstar's Bully- which is like playing an old school gta before the fun leachedd out, Dragons Dogma- I was so hoping before the new Dragon Age that they'd steal this rpg's combat- because it's the best I've played, Afro Samurai- action rpg with quite deep combat mechanics, Vanquish- Gears of War on steroids, Enslaved- again a great action rpg with platforming elements, and the Brothers in Arms series for those of you who like a good squad based shooter- which after all is what Mass Effect has at it's core.

I'd also recommend, Red Dead Redemption, the most recent Tomb Raider, all 3 Mass Effects obviously, Bullet Storm, Crackdown, Just Cause, the Force Unleashed, Destiny- even though the story is nonexistant piffle, Lost Planet- but only the first one, Gears of War, Far Cry 3 and Assasin's Creed- especially number 2- but i have got to say that's a really tired franchise now,

Would be interested to know what other favourites people have, especially on the original xbox- mine were Psychonauts, gta san andreas and the incredibly under appreciated Rogue Trooper- the game that Gears of War stole all it's best ideas from.

Subtitle size can be changed on Options- > Audio -> Subtitle Size. You can change from default to medium or large. With large subtitles are pretty readable in terms of size at least for me.

The problem with this fix is that it doesn't increase all text sizes in the game. Codexes and quest text are still small which isn't nice cause you need to read those in able to do quests. So I wouldn't call this proper text fix, just fix that fixes some amount of text in the game. However quests are something you also must read unlike codexes for example. I also took a look at wartable and text there is still small as ever.

So the fix is smaller than I excepted and although it helps with subtitles it isn't enough since dialogue wheel, codexes, quests, all other notification texts, text in wartable etc. are unaffected by subtitle change.

Thanks for the feedback Panda. So all the smallest text is still small. If I upgrade the size of the subtitles, they will look even smaller...

When I actually get around to restarting Inquisition, I'll let y'all know how unstable it is on an oldish 360 console.

Skate 2 is marmite I love it, you may not... but man I know I envy you getting to play Dragons Dogma for the first time- the acting is not that great but the atmosphere is decidedly odd and interesting- it raises some quirky philosphical questions in a quasi-metafictional way and then the Combat- just wow. You've got to play rogue- the physicality of the bowmanship kicks skyrim up and down stairs and being able to actually climb on Dragons as you're fighting them sure kicks D Age into a cocked hat too- it doesn't have great romance and dialogue options but the combat is amazing and the customisation at least has some decent haircuts, eyepatches freckles and scars.

I have yet to play Dragon's Dogma, but after reading this, I am thinking of finally picking it up, sounds quite promising. Especially if the archery is that good (I liked it in Skyrim for the most part, though it was frustrating at times). And climbing on dragons in combat? That just sounds amazingly epic. I have/played most of the other games mentioned. Love Skate 2 as well, been a while since I have played it.

Have you played Dark Souls II? It was given to me as a gift, and I have yet to check it out. I keep hearing mixed things about it.

D Dogma definitely worth it- not played Dark Souls 2 - gave up on the first one because it felt like a lot of demos I'd played of German rpgs I couldn't get into, ie ugly menu, crappy graphics, etc, so I guess I didn't give it enough time to get into the feel/combat. I know a lot of people who love the first one so I might give it another go sometime...

I played dS2 at a friends house and it's a great game for those looking for a challenge and if you don't mind being killed a lot and I mean a lot, I wish it was for xbone I'd have something to play other than FPS's
If only DA could make there games as hard as DS2

That's how I felt about it, just remembered why i stopped playing. I don't mind difficult if there's a reward, but the first game just seemed to be so fugly too and plotless- which i know was partly the point, but i needed something to keep me invested. Reminded me of when collision detection really used to be an issue on the old old xbox as well and the hell of certain sections of certain games. I get enough frustration messaging Bioware devs without that in my life again too.

Keitaro, can't thanks you enough for the Honest Game Trailers link even though I nearly chocked on my lunch whilst watching the ME trilogy one

On another note, I put DA:I back in the box and won't download the latest update until I got confirmation that they don't break anything else on the 360, though I doubt they fix anything either...

You guys have probably all seen this stuff below, but if you haven't, enjoy...

And the next one is Skyrim not Bioware and has reprehensible elements of crappy frat boy sexism, but... it also other bits of just genuine weird humour that made me laugh.

A new, recent video about Mass Effect :

About the main subject, it looks like new bugs had spawn with the new patch :

*Amulet of Power dropped by enemies had disappeared.

*Rift can no longer get closed in tac cam.

*Longer loading time.

*Loot tend to disappear.

I'm sure the list is not complete yet...

I game on pc, but they paid for this game just as we did, and they deserve a properly functioning game. Too bad customer satisfaction is a secondary consideration to EA, it's all for the short term gain and profit for the shareholders.
