Wrong Origin imported

Upon finding the codex on the Hero of Ferelden, it stated the wrong surname. This obviously infuriated me, so I started over after making sure my Keep import was perfect. I updated my world state, imported, and got to that point again. Same issue. Again. I've heard other people had no such problems. Is this an issue for anyone else?

Oddly enough, it got who I put on the throne in both Ferelden and Orzammar correct, as well as which Hawke sibling survived. Varric mentioned Merrill first, though I don't know if that indicated Hawke romanced her (mine did), and correclty mentioned Anders in the past tense. I'm still not sure if Hawke is the right gender, but considering Bethany is mentioned as being alive and that the Warden is mentioned as a he, the default states haven't been loaded. And yes, this is the only world state I've created.

Not sure if this works but some say to ensure a safe import, you need to make sure the respective timestamps match; the one in the Keep should match the one in the game.

I have this issue too, and I wish I had thought to check the codex before being 26 hours into gameplay.

Spoiler

Is there any way to confirm the correct import took earlier in the game?  My Keep still shows the playthrough I wanted green-checked and imported, but alas, it lies.

As soon as you  import a playthrough state should pop up in the second panel of the World States management section of the Keep. If there is no playthrough state in your Keep then it most likely means that you were not trying to access the right account to pull the data.

And the green check just means the data that is going to be exported from your account is the same as the data in the currently active world state.

Excuse my ignorance but, being in the UK, I can't get my grubby little mitts on DA:I until tomorrow!

I know where the Playthrough States page is, but does the game automatically create a Playthrough State as soon as you start playing? Or do you have to do something to make it export it from the game and into the Keep?

I have two playthrough states despite me restarting the game immediatly after confirming the name on my first char (didn't even control him before resetting) and only creating one other char. So it exports before you gain control I think.

So, looking in playthrough states for DAI, literally the only thing that's wrong is the origin, at least so far. I don't quite understand, but I'll restart again tonight after work with a brand new state. If it screws up again, I'll trust that the surname is the only thing that's wrong. What's weird is that, I checked the world state, I checked everything. And it still messed up that last name. Really odd.

It's really frustrating that I've now wasted 20 hours of my time on a game that screwed up.

I'm wondering if I should just import a default hero with the same origin that I want and go from there. Because Hawke (default appearance) is easy to make to my liking, and Varric did confirm who lived and who didn't.

I'll check more closely. I didn't know about playthrough states, so I'll check from the keep once I create my Inqusitor, and hope it's right then. Better than playing through the few hours it takes to get the Warden codex. I just wish there were a way to view major choices, even just the warden's name, from the menus of DAI.

So, after editing the playthrough state, the state that said that I made an Aeducan warden which is wrong (not a mistake on my part, not a wrong click, but a bug), I loaded up the save in edit mode, and changed the origin again, imported, noting the times being synced, and created a character. After creation, I went into the keep, and found that the new playthrough state finally had the right origin, but it chose a default warden for that origin and class. I'm wondering if it's just my character. It's a real shame, but I have a Cousland warden finally, so I'll call it good. I really wish it'd just say "corrupt file" or something if the import wouldn't work.

Having a similar problem I think. I've gone through the tutorial, double checked everything there. Timestamps match. Everything says it's worked except that the game seems to think Anora is Queen when it should be my Cousland and Alistair. I don't know iff anything else is wrong as i'm only at Haven and been trying to fix what's seems to be wrong. When make a copy of my game editable it shows all the correct choices other than the default Warden and Hawke name and face somehow overriding the my imported characters names and faces. I'm at a loss as to what's going on. Out of 8 hours play so far i've spent 4 of them trying to fix it.

I made another world state with the same options to see whether it was just that import but i'm getting exactly the same thing.

I've read this, and the linking PSN to Origin, and contacted Origin help directly, and none of it helped.

So I did the last resort option they suggested; create a new PSN account, a new Origin account, link the two, and *poof!* all will work.  Well, not so much.  The Keep is still not recognizing my PlayStation account, which I realize was the problem with my original attempt at importing.

After 40+ hours into the game without my import, I realize how much I want it to work.  And after 4+ hours of frustration trying to get this to work, I just want to cry lol.

Edit:

And suddenly it's there.  Off to play some more ;)
