I will play the game on Friday op and will let you know what I think.
So far I am not very happy with companions but I will decide when I play the game.

I played Skyrim enough to get bored of role model girls in game. They aren't real, seriously.

 

I can assure you that bright, strong, kind AND pretty women DO exist. The chances of finding one that ticks all the boxes are, sadly, just as high as finding a man that ticks all the boxes.

 

Considering, though, how small the chances are that you wake up unconscious to a woman-in-white guiding you out of the fade and with a glowing mark on your hand, I don't think it's too out-of-the-world to wish for that in DA:I too. I'm not far enough in the game to come to a conclusion about Vivienne, but I think she's a strong contender for this category.

Isn't it all subjective though? People are physically attracted to different things. In my opinion, if you find the characters ugly, then there is nothing wrong with that. You can't be told you are wrong because you aren't wrong for not feeling attracted to them, just like someone isn't wrong for feeling attracted to them. There are plenty of things that I don't find physically attractive but then are some things that I am attracted to and people are like, "WTF is wrong with this chick?" 

 

 

In saying that, not everyone will be pleased with the physical appearance of the characters or the personality traits that go along with them. There will always be disappointment for people.

He seems to have equal amount fans and haters. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have to disagree with fanservice since he fits as character to place he currently is ^^

 

Cullen didn't do anything spectacular  that gave him such a high position in Dragon Age. It was his appearance. Seriously thought. If Cullen was a big fat unattractive person... Lets say that Bioware decided that Cullen would have the appearence of Ser karras. Would he still be this popular? Would he still have a big fan based regardless of his appearance?

Well since I am all about the honesty, for me, he probably wouldn't have caught my eye if he didn't look the way he does. How do I know this? Because I didn't start taking an interest in his character until DA2 in which his model was far more attractive than his DAO one. And it really is a shame on my part because as I have said I do find him interesting as a character and I probably wouldn't of found that out if he had been butt ugly. Am I going to get hated on now? *ducks for cover*

Besides this is fantasy role playing. Don't really see the point of role playing into a relationship with a troll.
 
And ugly females should really expand their idea of dudes not finding them attractive. This complaint is just deluded. There is a reason 3s end up with 3s and 8s with 8s for the most part. The whole "expand their idea of beauty" is just 3s being upset that 8s don't want to pay attention to them.

as far a video game charcter can be hot... yeah. personally I wish I could find a video game character attractive enough to care enough to make a thread when their not. sadly( or maybe it should happily, I not sure} that skill is one I'm lacking.

Just for the people who feel the need to assert themselves by telling others to go out and 'date real people': At some point you, too, will realise that you can be in a perfectly happy relationship and still feel more or less strongly about others, both in the real and in the virtual world. Nothing wrong or 'sad' about it. As for the virtual world: It's called suspension of disbelief and is one of the reasons you are playing this game in the first place.

I thought he was a bad choise. How would a mage guarding templar be a good general, what does he know about actual warfare besides stabbing mages in the gallows?

Codices and conversations reveal that templars have excellent military training, and that the special anti-mage powers are just the icing on the top. They are one of the most respected fighting forces in Thedas, and that somewhat implies strategic/tactical acumen. Cullen also seems pretty gifted, and I'd posit that he gained a lot of experience as Knight-Lieutenant during his... what... 5-ish years in Kirkwall.

That's simply not true. See my post above: All templars receive extensive military training. Cullen says he himself trained for a full four years before even beginning to dip into the templar-specific powers.

10 years. He was there for as long as Hawke was and He gained Knight-Captaincy pretty quickly due to the fact that at the time his beliefs were similar to Merediths.

They are professional soldiers. They are still trained to fight like soldiers on top of their obvious training in defusing magic. You can have them fight for you in the last battle of DAO if you side with the templars instead of the mages.

I'm gay but.. Cassandra is damn hot. Also I think Leliana has gotten gradually better looking in each game. I didn't like her appearance in DAO, it got better in Leliana's Song. Then in DA2 she looked nice and now even better. Sera.. Well while not being exactly good-looking, I find her personality and voice more dominant features.
