I just wanted to voice my displeasure on how awful the quality of the Inquisitor Edition was. The box itself not including the poorly glued on pieces of plastic on the outside is actually nice(The faux leature part). After that it takes a nosedive.

I had pieces falling off the box (the gold trim).

You can clearly see where someone tried to remove stickers from the top of the box and I can not cleanly remove it.

The "imprinted silk" interior doesn't even hold the items in their places.

I first opened the box to find everything all over and the cheap plastic "imprinted silk" cracked, worn away on parts.

The "secret compartment" is a piece of sheet plastic glued over top of the items (which the glue came undone anyway and everything was all over).

The paint jobs were horrible.

The lock pick set extremely cheap plastic, wrapped in a cheap leather(?) case. Garbage, absolutely garbage.

The steelbook case has a spot for two CD's? Yet the game only comes with one and a digital soundtrack...?

The latch holding the box closed is cheap plastic.

The tarot card deck is actually a 7/10, the soft pouch holding them it trash.

An empty bottle from the dollar store supposed to be the ink pot? Seriously? $120 box and there is no ink in the ink pot?

The "Quill" have to love how they call it that. Is painted black, cheap, missing large sections of the feature, not even pointed.

The cloth map is lacklustre.

Who dropped the ball on this cluster?

I now need to decide whether the steelbook case with a weird placement of an extra CD slot, and the tarot deck is worth $120. I am honestly thinking about returning this piece of junk.

That's why I didn't purchase the Inquisitor Edition. I knew it was going to be full of junk that you can find at a dollar store. I have enough of a storage problem, I don't need more.

I have to agree and my experience when opening the box was nearly identical.

It's the first 'collector's edition' I'm considering just throwing away.

The box itself is ok minus the plastic trim. Cards are good and I don't mind the map but the rest is pure garbage. At $AUD229 I'm appalled..

Bioware please don't choose Triforce as your next contractor for the next CE you deliver.

I just posted a similar thread on this, except my issue was that the objects were already broken inside.  I put in a replacement request with GameStop, so hopefully the next one won't have the same damaged items as this one does, that would be awful.  I'm going to keep it no matter what because I love Dragon Age enough so it was worth it, but still disappointed in the damage, though not the items themselves.

Ugh. I didn't want to believe this after reading it, but I just received mine. The latch on the front was broken...missing a screw as well. Inside...it was nightmarish. The map pieces were not in the packaging, all loose and most of them broken. The castle piece has a chunk broken and is rattling inside of it. One of the lockpicks wasn't even in the pouch, and snapped in half. The Steelbook has a nice scratch in the cover. Lifting out the first tray to reveal the items beneath, the coins were loose. Hell, I don't even know how this is possible considering they had a spot...underneath the Inquisitors journal.

So incredibly disappointed.

Same with me, Little Lion Head was broken, everything was loose, the secret compartment the lock picks was meant to open was missing and all the codes for my digital content (pre-order bonuses, dulex content and soundtrack) where all missing, and so far, EA, Bioware and Gamestop are each telling me to contact one of the others to get the problem solved, worst customer service experience ever

Piling on. 2 of my "statues" were broken right when i opened the box. not sure what this "secret compartment" thing is supposed to be, but theres nothin. everything outside of the actual box is made so cheaply, im just incredibly disapointed. i paid way too much for stuff of this (lack of) quality.

One of mine was broken too. My husband had to glue it. Not to mention the contents of the box don't fit properly within their places.

Its a nice set, but I am disappointed that the stuff was cheaply made. To me this set was over priced.

plus 1 here, 2 peices broken, I'm gluing them as we speak, everything was tossed around, plastic outside peices fell off, just 2, glued them on. Was very surprised by this honestly.

As for there being 2 spots in the steel case, I believe last Gen consoles have 2 discs, as current only has 1. Just a guess.

Correct me if I am wrong:  But didn't Bioware originally advertise the secret compartment being locked, and one would have to use the lockpicks to open it?  That was actually the feature I was looking forward to the most... Pretty dissapointed.  I like the journal and the tarot cards though.  Box isn't bad.  Half of my "fortress" pieces were all broken and chipped.  The coins could have been better if they were actual metal.  A couple mm's of metal coating around a plastic cell doesn't cost very much.
And yeah, that isn't a quill at all.  Its a fake feather!

Reading this I guess I was lucky. The content was all over the box, but nothing was broken. My husband received it at work and had a sneak peep. He put all the bits back in their place and brought it home (carefully). When I opened it, the bits had all dropped out of the lid section again. And the yellow plastic on the side of the box had fallen off again,

I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the items. And 'statues' are a weird size too. Not small enough to use with the map and not heavy enough to use as bookend or paperweights or anything.

The black thing isn't a quill, it's an imitation feather. I dare not try and turn it into a quill, I don't think it would survive. I can pick up a good quill for about £10 at the local museum, surely a company making collector editions can do better?

And the Tarot deck? Major Arcana is not bad, but the Minor Arcana is just a nice collection of artwork, not very good as an actual Tarot Deck.

What's with the empty steel edition case anyway? I'm disappointed that I got a deluxe edition strapped to the top of my box with a piece of paper shoved in the box with the code for the soundtrack. Weird to say the least, wasteful is another way to describe it.

As the the comment of the ink pot being empty, considering how everything was packed, that's a good thing! I do actually quite like the cards (as a playing deck) and the journal is very nice, so I'd hate to have those spoilt by a broken or leaking ink bottle.

And those that say they've paid £130 (or equivalent) for it, you haven't. The Deluxe edition (the same in-game items) is worth £70, so you only paid £60 for the physical items & soundtrack. Up to you to decide if it was worth it. For me personally, it isn't. Digital deluxe for the next Bioware game I think.

it was broken down at gamestop as 100 bucks for the "box" and contents. waaaay too much for the quality of the items.

i dont buy many games in general, so i usually do buy whatever collectors editions of the few i enjoy, so this isnt my first rodeo...this is by far the most disapointed ive been, and its also the most expensive. not a good combination.
