I love game being quite hard. I enjoyed and completed DA:O at Nightmare, with party of 2 (warden + one companion only all the time (swapped them))

I have M/K, and actually do not want to buy controller.

Should i start Hard FF? Nightmare no FF? Nightmare FF? Wait till they patch existing controls? I do not watch SP videos and stuff because i hate spoilers. I love intense experience where you need struggle for and deserve what you gain. the thing is i am tactical cam game person, and i've read about game being hard and uncontrollable properly on  M/K. What i should do to esnure fine experience from the game? Does it means that i need to use some keys instead of mouse to move cursor during tactical combat?

I'm playing Hard with FF, also on keyboard.

It's fine so far (but I want a respec earlier in the game).

Go for nightmare and you'll get the achievement for completing it. It's pretty easy on hard, at least for me so far. I wish I went with nightmare so I could've gotten the achievement for it, now it's too late to change it (or you can but you won't get the achievement)

thanks. Do you play with FF on or not?

Do you manage your tactical combat without controller?

Some getting used to the K&M controls is necessary. A controller is an option. I have a controller but found I could manage with the K&M default settings reasonably well. If they prove bothersome to you I'd suggest dropping the difficulty down to "casual" until your used to how it works and then you can always amp it back up to "nightmare" when you are ready for it. Might want to try that during the prologue which is longish. There is only one boss fight in that and you're guided in how to win that one anyway as it functions as a tutorial.

Normal is designed to basically never mess with your companions much. If you want to have to pause and issue companion orders you should play on hard, because you'll never have to on normal.

Also you should turn off their ability usage, because if you leave it on they just use everything immediately so there's no point switching to them.

if you completed DAO on nightmare, you won't find this game particularly hard. tac cam or not.
