Has anyone found dawn lotus yet? I am only in the Hinterlands and have not found any thus far. It is found later in the game?

I found one in the hinterlands, but I couldn't say where. I noticed I had one when I went back to Haven, and the Hinterlands was the only place I had gone, but i have no memory as to where it is.

There's plenty in other zones.  Don't feel that you must totally clear the Hinterlands before moving on.  Move around to other zones.

Check the Codex if you're looking for materials, the area entries list everything you can find there.

With my 1st character, it was in the box on the floor at Haven when I woke up. Pretty unfair huh? Because with my 2nd character, I didn't get it until I was L-8. It was listed at the very bottom of "The Fallow Mire" in Codex/Places. I found one bunch of 3 just to the SE of the 1st Beacon. There was none listed in "The Hinterlands" for me. Apparently, it's different for each player.

Hit ESC/Codex/Places and look at the bottom of each area that you've unlocked.

Its easier to get dawn lotus from the swamp(with the mission to find your people) when you access the war table also you get the black lotus easily from the storm coast.

I skowered that whole watery area near where you meet them, lots of Blood Lotus, no Dawn Lotus. Any other places where it might show up in the Hinterlands?

Yes, I believe they got those two confused. This could help: http://dragonage3.wi...fe.com/Crafting Look under the tab "Herbs". Looks like Dawn Lotus is more prevalent in the Fallow Mire.

Thanks, I've been looking in the Follow Mire since the codex says it's there. Still only finding Blood Lotus, but hey, maybe I'm close.

 

edit: Groooovy, found some down by where the beacons are area in Follow Mire.

I found one behind the locked door in the Haven Chantry's basement. Immediately used it to upgrade my potions at Adan's.

We'll see if it's there next playthrough though.

One flower, got 3x Down Lotus from it, is in The Fallow Mire, Hidden Apostate Camp. For image see here.

I've been finding it in the Fallow Mire.  It looks a bit like a white water lily.

There's a quest in the hinterlands where you have to kill some wolves for the horsemaster's wife, just north of redcliffe farms, in that area there's a open air cave and I managed to find 2 dawn lotus, it's very difficult to miss because the herbs really stand out. Around the redcliffe farm areas.

You can often find crafting materials (even rare ones if you are lucky) as random loot.
