Man I might just throw my PS4 out the window if I have to keep using this 2h Maul. The hit detection on this thing combine with its awful vertical swings makes hitting anything (including enemies standing still....wtf) a serious endeavor.  Whats that? my target took a step foward.... "Nice MLG dodge there good sir". if you don't use lock on you serious waste half your attacking hitting thin air and no using lock on does not guarantee sh*t. 

I feel like everyone is laughing at me when it takes me 3 minutes of endless swinging to finally hit a stupid pot on the ground.

 

forget it just going to stable my Katari till I find a axe or greatsword.

Ya, I hear ya .. I was using Stens Axe (2 handed) on my Reaver, when I found a 170 dam white maul .. Sten's axe is 156 damage.

 

The Maul was horrible with its overhead trajectory, while the axe hits multiple targets with its horizontal swing.

 

Not to mention, trying to break urns with the maul is an exercise in pure frustration

I ended up with a super high dps (level 22 or 23) hammer

with a 200% bonus to berserk.  So probably, tailor made

for the qunari warrior.  No qunari, but I do have a reaver.

 

It is indeed awkward, but it hits super hard on a reaver.

Well worth the ungainly, handling and aiming that

reminds of... Weilding a monstrous heavy hammer!

 

Very, very hard to use if there is any lag.  But quite

worth the difficult handling if you can make it

connect.
