Anyone know what happens in this quest. I had it open since almost start of the game. I can't seem find upper market place, which is the last spot to look. What happens.

It's how you get Sera. I had the same problem. Go to the fast travel point and on the map in the corner there is a "level" Indicator. You can go up using that

Friend of Red Jenny is how you recruit Sera. Upper market place is the last place you go. You have to search the docks and another spot (sorry I'm forgetting where) for red hankerchiefs using the search "ping" (L3 on ps). The last hankerchief has a key to the upper market where you meet Sera.

You need to use either map (and it's 'travel' function), or one of the tower doors to get to upper levels.  The area has two distinct levels and you can't get to second one using stairs.

Now I got it thanks. I didn't realize there was a second option to click that brought you to the second floor of the markets. I kept hanging around the first level. This would save me much frustration. Thanks.

Once you finished the quest line, Sera joins your party.

Talking about Red Jenny...who is Jenny anyways?

Red Jenny was a character in Dragon Age Origins, which asked to bring back a "small box" from the Circle of Mage of Ferelden (Calenhad Lake) to Denerim...
She paid 3 sovereign for this... and didn't answer to any question...

What happens if you don't do this right away? Seems I can't go back there anymore.

I got the same problem. I left Val Royeaux under the assumption I could go back there to complete the quest later. Guess I was wrong.

You can go back to VR, just not from war table. Went back yesterday and hit the furniture store

I've been wondering, having completed Mark of the Assassin last month, could there be a connection between Red Jenny and the "She of the Red" in Aveline's quest?

They never say. The person in the marketplace in Denerim is likely just a member. I know the 'friend' in DA2 that pays you for clearing the streets of all the night gangs is either a member or working on behalf of the Friends of Red Jenny. So far, there hasn't been a lot of information released about them.

Yeah, just came back to say I figured out you can go back there by using the world map myself, but you beat me to it.

This is actually not the first time I've seen it come up.  I feel like there's a whole legion of players that keep running back to the war room every time they want to go somewhere.

They are all Red Jenny. There isn't one person in charge of the whole thing.

Sera's actually the person you hand the painted box to in Denerim during DA:O.

Hi Everyone,

I posted a question last night but was wondering why it didn't appear here.... anyway I'm using a PC version and I have the two items from the ground floor already....the fast travel doesnt seem to work on the PC version as clicking the spot on the map just toggles the target spot as 'active' or 'inactive'...I've checked every option in the map but there's nothing there to transport me upstairs or offer me to fast-travel....any help will be appreciated

Sera was only about 10-11ish in DA:O

Doesn't mean she couldn't silently accept a box through a slot in a door. The person you give the box to never speaks and you never see them.

That sounds about right, actually.

You hand the box over and all you hear is giggling.
