Well, at least they didn't put any fixes in the patch other then technical gameplay issues. Or then I would just feel jilted. Still...how long will it take before the next update. Yeesh...........maybe I should just give up and replay DA2. I've had a hankering to harass Fenris again. :P

So armor may now be available to wear in Skyhold in a coming patch? I hope this is true!

Considering they are now swearing it was a bug all along, I'm sure it will get patched soon.

Could be another month though. :(

We should make second thread in answers HQ. It looks as being here will not help us further. Of course we should not abandon this place but make it a much more vigorous discussion there. If you guys can post the most horrible of screens with broken and glued arms. In many armours etc. Tomorrow when I wake up I will make a thread there and if you want then please, do so - in fact you guys have more screenshots then I do (I have not started my playthrough). Get some 'sweet' ones and post it heavy there.

Actually, if you follow the twitter link, it seems that they have deleted the "bug statement", it was there earlier. Or I'm just unable to see it.

So, no fix for the broken arms, at least we have shiny hair now...

I don't know how to use twitter properly to watch comments but yes, it looks as if comment  vanished. Quite a disgusting patch day.

Pft...Can't even man up and stand behind their excuse with their balls in tact............As Sera would put it. Yeesh, using her as my avatar just brings out my own inner Sera.

Regardless, it was online. Maybe not for long, but the statement now exists. I'm sure someone took screenshots. They can't deny they said it.

Again, I don't care. So long as they fix the issue and let us wear armor. And fix the elf arms.

I asked Santa for two working arms and all I got was an X-Box 360.  >.>

The patch was not released for the Xbox One today lol. Being my platform of choice for this game, not receiving the patch at ALL was really a one-two punch combo to the nuts for me lol. Man. They're lucky they have so many good games out there or I don't think I could hang on :P

Given what the patch has done to the PC version of the game consider yourself lucky. >.>

It's funny how they found priority to correct Cullen's hair shadow, but the broken arms issue was forgotten about. The only way we're going to get this fix is if more people care about it. Many people don't play elf, so I think we're stuck with these arms  :(

Yeah, I'm preventing the game from updating. I'd rather not have to wear my sunglasses to play the game. :P

The shiny hair isn't even the worst of it. It seems a lot of people had their character's complexion change. There are people who went from looking young to looking like they aged to 70 after the patch.

Yes, its is kind of amusing from a bystander point of view. Horribly frustrating for the victims.

I still think this was someone on the inside attempting to either troll Bioware or the fans.

I should go back and inform them that its a design choice. :P

I quickly loaded up the game and snapped a screencap, and this is what the elf looks like to start:

Spoiler

So (at least to me) not all elves are created with disjointed arms!  But it does seem like some combinations of armors can cause this.

That could be true, but it doesn't excuse that in the Skyhold pj's, the elf looks like a 12 year old boy. No shoulder depth whatsoever. (of course, the male qunari are broken in the Skyhold pjs too. Their necks don't even fit the mesh)

Additionally, I thought the races were all going to get custom animations? Because it seems like the elf if trying to use the human animations because they intermittently get locked elbows because their mesh is done bending but the animation is still calling for their arm to move. Most noticeably at the beginning when the elf gets lock-bo while pushing himself to his feet before the CC starts. Or when closing a rift. The humans get this nice, loose right arm while my elf has his arm locked uncomfortably the entire time.

Yeah, its annoying that Allan just left like that. The in-game of the elf isn't where the issue shows the most, its during the cutscenes that the bug really shows itself.

But...you know. Male elves aren't important. <_<

Yup, if Jon Irenicus could see those arms, he'd start throwing disintegrate spells left and right.

I would have loved to see the reactions if the broken arms had been a human male issue.

Yeah, nice to see that "custom animations for the races" thing from one of the Sprint Review Days made it into the game.

See now I had a beard that fit my face fine before the patch. I didn't mess with the size of the face much after I put it on to avoid weirdness, but I still didn't think it was possible for it to be that bad. Did the patch make that a thing or was that always there? TBH, I'm scared to launch my game until the next patch.

Oh, there would have been a fix in just a day or two. Humans? That's serious. <_< The amount of people who play human in a game is stunning. I myself am forced to play human in most games, so I treasure the games that let me mix things up....specially if an elf or demon race is available.
