Hey, I don't want it ever fixed. Don't you get it? Its a cultural tevinter thing to stand on a chair. :P

I knew it was a rigging issue. <_<

Oh I agree fully, Krem on chair should stay as is! I feel really silly though because I just learned Jennifer Hale was his voice actor, she did an amazing job with him.

I think it must really be a problem with the Player model since standing side by side of most Elven characters (including the ones from the "M" temple)  it's clear that every other male elf character have normal shoulders and arms. For got sake even Sera has bigger arms and shoulders than the elf inquisitor, even more because his legs and shoulders are totally disproportional.
My opinion? Is that is totally a bug i believe that even more since some armors of the game correct the said bug, like keepers robes, mercenary coat, inquisition armor. The problem mostly happens when the character uses the Inquisitor skins, means the "armored coat"

Lol, I'm so glad that everyone who wants this issue fixed are now all going to get lumped together as abrasive hysterics. Some of us have been reasonable and diplomatic, haha. Great.

But it's good to know it's on their list of eventual fixes, anyway.

Actually, its when they wear the armors that use the human mesh and not the elf mesh. Human mesh armor looks ok. Elf mesh armor gets the weird bugs and rigging issues.

Did you call me 'abrasive hysteric'?

Many more people started to experience problems with arms after hotpix. Patch thread is getting filled with them

Reported you, I dislike > Trolling just for provoking other users to respond inappropriately.

Because this thread is a supportive thread about a bug and you come here just to laugh on people.

-NEWS- BW answer -NEWS-

http://forum.bioware...h-2/?p=18043853

Well done. I gotta say, whether intentional or not, he came off a bit rude. Was that just me? Regardless, they responded and honestly, that's ALL I've ever wanted this entire time. I understand they can't always sit there and tell us the state of the situation on every glitch or bug, but the fact that he flat out said they're working on it is enough for me.

It seems like we may have annoyed a response out of them lol, but hey, we did it guys. Congratulations everyone. Thanks for your many vigorous efforts Lord Surinen! Now, I wait with knowing reason :D

I would not be so happy, this 'new speech' pattern used in 'looking into it' might be promising but also it may be turned against us. Of course, I'm truly glad that we have received an answer but then 'no further information' is not good. At this point I think BW should know where they are at with fix for it. I expect them to fix it and fix it soon but how itw ill turn out. We shall see. Most of the thanks should go to the forum posters who were replaying to me in that thread, their mean behaviour, snarky comments and basic rudeness, proved to be quite a great tool to keep clean reason to reply there. After all it would be rude of me to ignore their comments, right?

I'm quite tired with these broken elves. It is almost nonsensical how such unfinished product got on the shelves.

Inquisition marches on.

Yeah, the Bioware guy seemed to come off to me as basically, "Hey. Stfu, ok? We're working on it and NO we're not going to bother telling you how far along it is. Suck it up and play the game. Or don't. We don't care, we already have your money." lol maybe not THAT strong, but it didn't seem like a very sincere response.

Well don't know about human meshes since while using Keeper and Dalish armors the "glitch" is gone and is still leaner than humans shoulders and arms. The problem is only with the non-unique armors (Inquisitor style),
Warden, Dalish, Keeper, Prowler are all ok, the rest of the armors that uses the Inquisitor art style, including the pajamas, are bugged.

Good work Lord Surinen, you got them to respond. I'm glad they acknowledge this issue, now it's time to cross our fingers and see if we'll actually get a fix.

I guess I phrased my comment poorly.

I didn't mean I think Lord Surinen is that at all. I merely meant that when a dev comes in and is like OMG CALM DOWN GEEZ STOP ARGUING CHILL OUT GUYS WE'RE WORKING ON IT SHEESH then it's apparent they think everyone complaining is just being an obnoxious squeaky wheel -- rather than people with actual legitimate concerns. Which is extremely bothersome and discouraging to me. I'm glad we got a response, don't get me wrong, but I'm frustrated their response was phrased in a "gosh you people are annoying go complain somewhere else" way, when some (most) of us have been very polite and patient about this issue.

My apologies that came across otherwise.

I can't agree:

Spoiler

It is a race specific armour and his arms are glued.

No worries. Unfortunately, I don't think that we would get any answer from them if not for a more offencive approach. As you can see, there is not even one EA/BW post in answer to our thread in AHQ: http://answers.ea.co...104509#U4104509, not to mention this place.

I see the male elves acting more delicate than my female elfquisitor. She hulks around and lumbers around sometimes with all the grace of a buffalo. I see Leliana running along, hips swaying, almost sashaying around, delicate steps as she moves in front of me...then here comes my character. *STOMPSTOMP!* all hunching shoulders and balled fists, storming around like a lowland gorilla. I know they use the male animations but its 2014 and not 2000...you'd think they would spend the time to let me choose if I want my warrior to stomp about like Arnold or walk delicately.

I can agree on arms, but at least the shoulders are not gimped, and body proportion totally wrong.

Look, if they don't like us being annoying, its their own fault for not confirming to us that they recognize it as a bug and will work on it. Instead, Allan pops up, says its not a bug on his end, and leaves. What are we supposed to do?

Rant Time!

Spoiler

I guess I'll have to go the ME4 route with the next Dragon Age game as well.

That explains Sera's humanish behavior.

I really hope this issue is fixed in at least a months time. If not, I hope that the skyhold outfit "bug" is fixed because I can't actually stand to look at my elf boy in the skyhold pjs anymore. Because of the shape of his head, and his not as feminine look, he looks mutated and deformed in the skyhold outfit. Like a human head was put on a 10 year olds body with a terrible run. I'm so discouraged, and it makes me sad. :(

Month? It should be fixed within a week. I'm not so eager to start my playthrough after 2 months of game release.

Problem is I doubt it's going to be fixed in a week or even two weeks. I'm just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and a month.

It can be fixed in one day. What they are doing with their time is up to us, consuments. We need a fix and it should be delivered. The costs of it are BW's problem only

Their first patch borked the PC version, I doubt they will have much time for other fixes.

Everybody speaks about time, about other issues. BW is truly a large company and they have many teams responsible for different things. Why would some artist be involved in the code.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the PJ fix, sadly. They deleted the tweet that said it was a bug, and they've carefully deleted all mention of it ever since. :| I think some community manager fucked up and they're frantically trying to pretend it never happened, but a lot of people already saw it. Idk. STILL HOPING IT'S TRUE, but idk.

Whaaat?! Seriously? They pulled a Blizzard, basically. That's ridiculous. The option to wear armor should have been there at the start. I'm sure with support and so many requests they have to eventually give us the option. If not, the elf male's body proportions really need to be looked at. :/
