You sir, are a true gentlemen. Seriously, I cannot thank you enough for this glorious workaround.

You have done it with the use of cheat engine and mighty BioWare is looking how to implement in in the game. Amusing, is it not. You should most definately post it in the patch 2 thread to show people who are they dealing with every time they see 'investigating'.'looking into'

This happens all the time - modders putting developers to shame with their work - and yet Bethesda is the only company that embraces it.

running around skyhold in pj isnt a bug, confirmed. as for cheate engine theres a code found that disables equipment display in skyhold.

I'm still waiting for their elvhen fix. I refus to play this game until they look at least decent.

Yes, it is not, but they could easily add it alongside hotfix or during any other day.

Ah think I will finally give the elf a try. Will have to pick some decent armor that masks the broken arms. Any hints?

Anything with loose sleeves should help. You won't escape glued arms though, no matter what you put on. I do not take responsible for any ocular damage that may occur while you are playing a male elf.

Well, I started my DAO replay, and now I am more depressed with DAI. It's not just that I am forced to play a human, thought  that is bad enough, but a bloody NOBLE. I mean...really? Could we not at least have had background options?

Shoulder width my DAO character has it, and yet he still short and slender, why can't we have that? I swear if I can have an elf with wider shoulders I will finally be able to finish this game, but until then...I've stalled out again.

I shall eagerly await the cheatengine workaround feedback because I want to be an freaking elf and save the world, not a noble born human git!

Thats why I stalled out on human as well; the noble origin. I tried mage to avoid it but inexplicably despite being a Circle mage you're still nobility with ties to your family. It's very un-Circle magey. I mean in Origins you got hauled off at a young age never to see your family again. In this I apparently even kept my family name despite being a Circle mage.

Yeah...time to possibly restart my elf and play with the ability to wear my armor. Although...to be honest I haven't picked the game up in a week. Persona Q took over.

Still, I had a good feeling the no armor in skyhold was a simple toggle switch on/off. Glad to see that cheat engine found it.

I've given in, I made an elf. I tried to compensate for the build by going for *my* idea of a pixie and picked the smallest head and made his features as delicate as I could while still being somewhat masculine, gave him exotically tilted purple eyes and a ripper scar (to make him look like a hunter).

Let's see if the arm clipping kills this run for me.

60+ hrs and I've only made it as far as Wicked Eyes and Wicked hearts because of re-rolls. It was the ball that killed it for me, my guy fit in so well with all those Orlesian tossers I was gagging!

Apparently the Dwarves and Quanri are problematic too. Honestly Bioware, what were you thinking- apart from 'everyone wants to be a human noble' I mean?

Bethesda doesn't have to worry about 3rd party plugins that require user licensing in their engine. Bioware does.

Couldn't agree more. In Origins you at least get the cool Batman-like twist to your noble's story, if you went non mage route, but in this game you're just kinda of a rich ***hole (yes, I know you can roleplay not to be, but still).

Yes, it sucks to be Bioware. Poor Bioware.

On topic, even with the armor on, the giant head and girly, anorexic body are bad, really, really bad. How come Sera has more muscle on her than a male Dalish hunter? O.o

I quite agree, even with my armor on in skyhold. She does seem to have broader shoulders and certainly has a better healthier built than Male Elf Inquisitors.

Repeating- according to ingame data sera's model and skeleton are simply a human female. Forget about Sera, Sera is a human technically speaking. Compare to Solas, he is elven.

Bwa-ha-ha-ha. Thought I'd play as an elf this time around, then got to Haven and saw him in the beige clothes.... and decided that, in hindsight, perhaps I won't play as an elf

Seriously, the male elf has the body of a seven year old. And that's being generous. That's not even mentioning the weird cutscene arms.

How did Bioware give Solas a normal body and then go like "oh yeah, this PC male elf model is totally cool." How is something like this even missed?

By releasing a game that needed at least 3 months more development and QA time, to be in stores before the holidays.

Hahaha xD

I wasn't so wrong then when I said I dislike her because she a human in disguise of elf.

So, it would be nice if we could swap the male player 3D model body with Solas 3D model

Solas model/skeleton shares PC's model/skeleton, No difference at all. Default outfit models are different, that's all.

Really ?

Does he has the same broken arm bug then ?

I though he was a bit different but that's good.

Fourth week, this long the game is on the stores shelves. Fourth week of broken male elf model. I was hoping for far better approach. BioWare is failing, minute after minute.

Yes, when he wears PC armours. It is his armour that saves him from them, but during cutscenes his arms are glued too.
