I follow the modding thread and supposedly the Abelas model has some extra bones that the male Lavellan doesn't?

I didn't think I'd love my dude Lavellan as much as I do, and if BioWare doesn't fix this (because they are ****s and never fix their games, apparently -- hello DA2 romanced Zevran dialogue bug), at least we can probably count on the modders eventually.

Don't give up this thread, though, because ELVEN GLORY!

They must fix it. It is simple as that. I don't know about Abelas bones but I'm sure our, PC bones cannot be so broken. We were promised good elf models. Not this botched thrash. It has been quite a few years since our last elf playthrough in DA. They must correct it.

Still no word? I myself am quite attached to my elf to. I'm hoping to recreate him for this new playthrough.

No word, nothing. Ubisoft is a Santa Patch in comparison to this, this, this -----BioWare <intense disgust>. No communication, no updates, nothing, zero, null, nada.

Obligatory attention seeking post because it's now been a month since this issue was brought to the attention of Bioware, and we have not heard a single thing, let alone received a single fix.

It may be a lengthy process, sure, but that's not really an excuse for providing updates or giving people some sort of hope that it's being worked on, right?

In fact, it's been weeks since anyone from Bioware actually communicated with their audience on these forums and indeed the multitude of support threads on EA answers. People seem to be having a plethora of issues, not limited to the broken elf arm bug, and no one seems to be listening.

Don't think your customers will so kindly consume your next product. Enough is enough, guys.

But there was a message! 2 weeks ago about them 'looking into' it!

Lenghthy? Sure, day or 2 days lengthy if you work 12h then most probably one day is enough. This whole business with them is ridiculous. They have caved in, getting cash from sales, they avoid admitting problems - that is they do not apologise, but they are upodating main page with MultiPlayer info to make it look as if the game is living, good and marching forward. This is disgusting, all of it. How long are we supposed to wait until they fix it. It is one of the main races, how can it be broken in the Game Of The Year? Really, it is time to move to the next phase and simply write emails to gaming press about it.

I insist, all of you, wielding a native speaker skill of english language, try sending at least an email to online gaming portals. Spread the news everywhere, just without spamming but with zeal.

Enough is enough. Even Ubisoft is dealing with their problems in a much more fficient matter: AC:U, FC4 get their patches on almost weekly basis and FC$ is going to get ' a bundle of patches' this week.

I'm going to laugh hard if the modders fix this problem before Bioware do.

It's pretty much a certainty at this point.  :(  I have no faith in BioWare at all anymore.

When the 12th mosaic piece in the Hinterlands has been discovered inside a rock where nobody can get to it, well, yeah, they only care about pushing the game out the door to get money.  I'm only surprised that they have a QA team at all.

I really dislike Ubi for several reasons but it does seem like they are throwing more resources behing their patching efforts. Then again, from what I have read and seen AC U was a buggier mess than DAI.

I agree there were gamebreaking bugs, but there were/are also in DA:I. While you could see insides of model faces and fall under the world(as far as I know it happens still in DA:I) your character was not broken. AC:U is not even an rpg, you don't make choices, while of course watching cutscenes is vital to the game, it is not of the same importance as rpg-immersion of DA:I should serve. Still, Ubisoft not only fixes their games fast but also players got free dlc as apology. BioWare is reaching new lows, even for EA standards.

Ubisoft also offered a free game in exchange for waiving your right to sue them in a class action lawsuit. EA / Bioware are no where near the colossus screw up that is Asscreed Unity. Unity was broken far beyond just cut scenes. Its not comparable to DA:I ( thankfully >.> )

DA:I is not in a good shape; the more I think about it the more similar to AC:U bugs wise it looks. In two days 5th week shall pass. Miserable piece of game with broken models.

The bugs were not the only things that made people explode at Ubisoft.

Ubisoft repeated over many games the same flaws : the bugs, the micro-transaction, agressive marketing, etc.

You can read a good resume about the Ubisoft case, here : http://www.neogaf.co...8&postcount=914

Let's hope that Bioware won't take the same road.

People had no faces in AC:U. It's a far cry from noodle arms. >.>

Not to mention falling through the ground, invisible walls, people spawning right on top of you, people flying through the air, models people twisted into unspeakable terror pretzels, etc etc etc. That's before you even got into the numerous technical problems.

When your Inquisitor looks like this then you can compare DA:I and AC:U:

That sets a new standard for beauty.

But really, at least they fixed the problem relatively quickly.

They acknowledged the problem, looked into it....and then did something about it.

Well, it took 4 patches over the course of a month to even get AC:U remotely working and its still pretty busted.

Comparing that disaster to some broken arm rigging is just silly. Plus Bioware has already acknowledged the broken elf arms and is working on it. So acting like this is somehow a personal affront and/or the end of the world as we know it is a pointless waste of energy. Yelling about it all the time will just get you tuned out, not listened too.

Stop focusing on only that bug only because you only noticed Lord Surinen passion.

Also there many ther threads where people want a feature be corrected, for example : http://forum.bioware...k-button-on-pc/

DA:I has bugs/flaws that the past games didn't had.

Should we turn a blind eye on these now and DA serie will proably end up like AC serie.

The last thing that fans should do is to be in the denial because it didn't happened to them.

Will people fight for their love of serie or will they be milked until they explode one day like in Ubisoft case ?

And damn no Ubisodt case is not only about the bugs GO read the link I gave if you didn't and ask yourself, how many promises did Bioware broke too with DA:I.

Its kinda sad. I was looking at the recent Sims 4 update and Maxis not only returned pools to us for free, but added even more to pools then ever before. What a wonderful step they took to try and fix how very stripped down Sims 4 was at launch. I hope Bioware does similar by fixing our broken elves.

On a side note, have to cheer on the modding group. You've seen Kiitosu's awesome male head, and he was using a hairstyle made by Adela.

They've already managed to figure out in a crude modding way how to change the textures of the skyhold outfit. One modder even already has a new texture up on nexus.

Spoiler

Soon. I still hold hope in my heart thanks to the hard work of the modding community.

Most of AC:U bugs got fixed. 5th week of DA:I and it is still the same buggy mess. Interesting though, most of your comments here do not support the thread. It is not a place for BioWare apologism.

I commend you for creating that wondrous hyperbolic strawman then resoundingly defeating him. Good work!

Unfortunately, I didn't say any of what you're going off about and if you actually review this thread you would notice I've been here advocating fixing the male elf model as well for some time. As well as a number of other things in other threads. But where I differ on the matter is I am trying advocate being reasonable about this.

Yelling, screaming and insulting the developers will accomplish nothing except to get you ignored and dismissed as a crank both by the devs and by other community members that might otherwise be on our side ( as is already happening in the patch threads thanks to Surinen ). It diminishes the legitimacy of the issue.

Modders toolkit is still WIP so they can't fix that bug yet because they don't have access  to the animations, just the skeleton.

Also, that's normal that Sera seems to have a larger body, it was stated by a modder that she has the body of a female human it seems. :P

Anyway, if it can cheer you up, here an example of what modder (Kittou) might share with us the day the toolkit will allow mesh import in the game.

Spoiler

Why are there no hair styles like this in the game?  There should have been at the very least a few only humans could have, a few only elves could have etc etc.

There isn't enough armor or hair that make the elves stand out as elves and not just an anorexic human.

Is it me or does Solas look a bit broken as well? I hadn't noticed it before as I haven't played in a while and I don't much care for Solas, but I wanted to (at least try to) befriend him this time, so I actually bothered to talk to him in Haven and... yeah. That's when I noticed. That doesn't seem right either.
