I just spoilered myself on the Dorian/male elf bedroom scene because...well if it was bad I needed to be prepared. But the male elf looks FINE in the bed! WTH? Yeah he's skinny but his shoulders are fine and the head isn't bobbled.

The Skyhold jammies prelude is another story lol! But I no longer have that issue, thanks to the CE guys. How they released the game with this model so messed up is beyond me, unless of course no-one bothered to check beyond the intro of the game. That mercenary coat really does hide the issues. And the Elite version is bloody hard to find lol!

I loff the Dalish set, sure he's still willowy, but he looks great all the same.

A tiny, useless bit of an update, but here ya go. Our first mention of Patch 3:

Hello everyone,

We're working on a fix for the key drop issue in multiplayer that should resolve the vast majority of these instances. This fix will be included as part of a larger upcoming patch for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

We'll provide more details at a later date, and appreciate your patience.

The link is here: http://answers.ea.co...214473#U4214473

As seems to be the current pattern, they're still fully committed to the multiplayer aspect of the game and that absolutely baffles me  . Don't get me wrong, it's cool that it's an option, sure (who asked for that?), but c'mon...I don't know a soul who purchases Mass Effect or Dragon Age for the online portion of the game. It's just weird. Whatever lol...

Anyhow, I ran across that sliver of info while googling in my mad desperation again. I found it in an article from a site called "Inquisitr" that I'm admittedly not familiar with, but I welcome the update regardless.

You can view the article along with the link to the information above here: http://www.inquisitr...iplayer-issues/

Of note:

"Neither Electronic Arts nor Bioware has provided an expected timeline regarding when they believe the third Dragon Age: Inquisition patch will be ready for release. In fact, Tuesday’s statement from EA was the first mention of the upcoming patch. The update will likely feature several fixes to Dragon Age: Inquisition, but no additional details are available at this time."

"The main reason for the extended delay between the launch of the second and third patch for Dragon Age: Inquisition lies in the fact that Bioware recently took an extended holiday break."

"The Inquisitr recently reported that they do plan to continue to support the game’s multiplayer mode. However, Dragon Age: Inquisition creative director Mike Laidlaw revealed that they have not yet announced if there will be any story-based DLC to continue the game’s single player narrative."

It's all stuff we've seen and known before, but it is the latest I've found so far (The EA Answer HQ was posted January 7). Here's to hoping it doesn't take another month  ...

To be fair, the multiplayer key drop bug is a big one.  Basically you get to the end of your map and can't finish it and so you lose everything you've gained so far.  It's very frustrating.

Here's to hoping that the multiplayer dev team is separate from the single player one!

You can use microtransactions to compensate, right, RIGHT?

Yes, the multiplayer team is a seperate development team. It has its own lead designer and programmer, and is comprised of much of the staff that was part of ME3's multiplayer development team. The multiplayer "client" so to speak itself is different both in UI and controls from the main game.

So nothing was taken away from single player for multiplayer or vice versa.

Again, microtransactions are really not a thing in DA:I's multiplayer. In fact its the least intrusive microtransactions in recent memory. Hell, you actually have to go out of your way to *find* the option in the multiplayer UI. Plus you can't buy anything except loot chests which are randomized. And those same loot chests can just be purchased using gold. Of which you earn plenty of. You could buy a chest after every match if you wanted.

It's not just the male elf with issues. My female elf cannot wear armor on her arms. The arms clip horribly into her chest and hips. Nasty.

No, the microtransactions are pretty much just gambling on equipment.  They have nothing to do with the maps.

Whole team, that is xxx people were assigned to something that is not main game, considering results, that is quality of the product after premiere, I say: wasted human resources. The fact it is in the game is vile. I oppose any kind of microtransactions.

Something like SW:TOR packs then. Even better!

You could have just asked me instead of spoiling it. I quite love the Dorian bedroom scene. That tooshy. (still mad I couldn't choose to hug him though. I want my hug option. *pouts*)

It seems the awkward picture we had of naked Lavellan is from the ??Cassandra romance?? Not sure. But with Dorian, everything was fine. (outside of the fact that the kissing noises started playing while Dorian and my elf were still five feet apart. <_< And when they go to make out preluding to the bedroom scene, my elf was making out with Dorian's head and Dorian was making out with his chest. wth. And the fact that when they do kiss, the hands aren't really on the bodies because they used human animation and didn't tweak it for an elf's smaller frame...)

I wish mages had an awesome dalish type armor. But then again, I'm happy with the Grey Warden Battlemage armor. I really want a schematic for it, to.

And yes, although the multiplayer team is a separate team, I don't really like how the multiplayer is what's getting all the attention. Plus, they got a lot of armor variety compared to sp. -_- But lets not forget that EA is involved here. The big "Multiplayer is the future! We won't greenlight a game without some multiplayer aspect in it!" peeps. <_<

Still...I'm hoping for this big patch 3 to finally fix lots of issues, including the elf arms.

Lol! Well, Darrik (my human) and Dorian had already BTDT so the actual scene was already spoilered for me, but I needed to know Falandriel wasn't going to be freak so I could avert my eyes ! And I am devastated that I hadn't worked out the shadowplay thing back then (okay didn't know I had it) because hot damn Darrik is smoking hot and that was one sweet scene. I have screenshots, but...yeah. *sighs* Won't be qite so steamy with my skinny elf boy but will still be cute. :)

I agree that the MP thing seems to be taking the focus from the SP game. And while they might be separate teams, from this side it appears that the MP is the only team that is doing anything while the SP game is hung out to dry. If that isn't the case Booware has only to make an announcement to the contrary for hurt feelings to subside.

And hey, I got that beard line in your sig for the first time yesterday - I was gagging with laughter. :D

Shadowplay thing? What's that? (you can spoil me if you want. not sure I know what you are referring to.)

Yeah, sometimes the dialogue gets quite funny between characters. That one had me just giggling so much. So Blackwall does have a sense of humor. Though I usually enjoy the dialogue shared between Iron Bull, Dorian, and Varric the most.

Dorian and Blackwall have a fun conversation though at one point...They started arguing about Dorian being Tevinter, and my PC was given the option to scold them. I chose to say "You two are so cute". They both shut up, and Blackwall even went as far as to say in a sheepish tone, "I apologize, Herald". Was amusing as hell.

Haha! Shadowplay is the Nvidia recording mode built into my GPU. It's freaking awesome! Just press alt/F9 and were recording! Sad I'd had the rig a month before I even knew about it lol!

I adore Dorian and Blackwall together, can't wait for an in quest interaction with them- lord knows those are few and far between. No doubt once again I'll miss the chance because the buttons don't fire for me. <_< Varric, Iron Bull and Dorian are my main team too! Though I try Sera out from time to time, because she and Dorian can be funny too.

Look how loffley the Dalish armour makes him!

And just coz it's my favourite pic so far (is my current wallpaper). His Skyhold moment.

Wow, nice broken arms in dalish armour.

I know, right? And the sad thing is- it's AWESOME compared to arms in the rest of the armours with the exception of the mercenary coat- which is all we see in the beginning.

Is it great? Well relatively speaking it is, but in isolation, no. Is it ridiculous that I had to set off to the Hissing Wastes at lvl 10 wearing a lvl 1 armour to get the schematics because I wanted to play the game with a character I could look at and not cringe? Too right it is.

Anyway. sorted out my screenshots issue - note to self, removing screenshots into other folders messes with the order- and here is a better view of it, it's really much better than any of the others and in lieu of a fix, makes the character quite playable for me. Of course it is contingent on being arogue. I've heard that snowfleur leather removes the class though so maybe a mage could wear it if it was made from that?

At any rate, it's been 7 weeks and nobody has given any indication that they intend to fix the model and I want to play the game and move on to less irritating pastures. Hopefully the modders will fix it because I very much doubt Booware will. I shall continue to support the cause though Lord Surinen, and kudos to you for getting things rolling!you for

I just hope everyone who has been shafted by this game has a long enough memory that when their next release comes along they stay away in droves. Because as long as we support them with our $$ they will just keep serving us the same steaming pile and telling us to smile as we choke it down.

Oh for-, seriously dude. Thats not how software development or indeed any industry works. Just throwing numbers at something doesn't make it better. The multiplayer team is composed of people who specialization in multiplayer development and was developed alongside the main game. The multiplayer component was actually used to test combat mechanics for single player during development. So that team actually did greatly contribute to the "main game".

Furthermore the multiplayer team's focus is multiplayer. They only utilize assets from the main game. They don't create assets. Their team does not have modellers, animators or cinematic artists. It has designers, programmers and a handful of UI artists. Assigning them to correct cutscene rigging issues would be the complete waste of resources. It's not their skill set. You don't assign a brake mechanic to repaint your car just because they both work in a garage.

If you want to yell at someone, yell at the cinematic artists. Seeing as the main game has around as many cinematic artists as the multiplayer team has total staff. But enough with this bullshit about the multiplayer component "stealing" anything from you or the main game. It has no basis in reality.

Of course it has. These people could be used for more, -anything- for SP; more buildings in the world, encounters, whatever there is, Throwing more people usually makes it better, like 90% of time. Also, I'm not a 'dude'. That's the thing, there should be no multiplayer. This game has almost no high end armour variety, while new armours are being added to MP.

Well, speaking as someone who pre-ordered a game based on promises that were in no way delivered, I have been well and truly shafted. The elf model is far from the only issue I have with the game, it's just the one we focus on in this thread.

If you like the game and don't miss the promised content- good for you. As the game stands I wouldn't have paid full price for it, more like $30 than $90 If the truth about the gameplay and the elf model had been laid out for me I wouldn't have bought the game at all. Instead of the truth we were fed videos of missions that don't exist and lies about great looking elves right up until launch - what is that if not shafting? Not to mention the issues people are having with running the game and the PC UI.

Their extended holiday is irrelevant when the fact that they released the game with the elf model this messed up in the first place is a disgrace. They took our money for an inferior product, full stop. I was just at the Exalted plains and the NPC Dalish have normal shoulders and no arm issues in both the keeper coat and the dalish scout armour. It's disconcerting to see your character look much worse than a random NPC. It makes no sense to do that, and it's just wrong to take people's money for a sub par product and offer them no support. Has anyone indicated they are even looking into the elf? Not to my knowledge.

God I can't wait to get a screeny of my Sevant in full battlemage armor, accepting the blade of the Inquisition. Will look so much more epic then with him doing so in those pjs.

Dorian, Varric, and Iron Bull are usually my main team. But I'm trying to find a way to turn Iron Bull into a better tank.

Its to bad their specialty classes are set in stone. I hate that if I want a Knight Enchanter in my party, I either have to be it or bring along Vivienne. And if I want to turn Iron Bull into a tanky warrior, he'll still end up a Reaver class. -_-)

The multiplayer team, again, is composed of online programmers, designers and a handful of UI artists. Not level designers, not enviroment artists, not 3d modellers, etc. Their team does not have the staff required to create new assets and as I said, they DID contribute greatly to SP by providing a testing enviroment for combat mechanics. The SP game does not need more buildings or encounters.

The "new" armours added to multiplayer were from single player. All they added to multiplayer was Inquisition armour. Which all of your soldiers, scouts, etc in single player wear. That's the point. The characters in multiplayer are agents of the Inquisition. They ARE in the single player game as NPCs in Skyhold.

As for no multiplayer.....why? The game's entire lineage and indeed RPGs in general are derived from multiplayer gaming. The classic titles from Bioware everyone waxes for nostalgically had mutliplayer. Christ, it was the entire basis of Neverwinter Nights. Having multiplayer back is a return to form. Plus, the multiplayer is quite enjoyable. If its not your cup of tea, fine, you don't have to play it but don't yell at the people who do enjoy it or act like its victimized you somehow. Multiplayer is the whole basis of rpg games for those of us that only had pen and paper before the advent of computers.

I'm with Lord Surinen about the MP.

Those ressources could've been used elsewhere and I really dislike that MP have been promised free DLCs in the futur while there is a low chance that would be the case for SP.

So yeah, whatever your excuses are. Bioware doesn't need it, imo.

They're enough old to face themselves the costumers questions.

They're not some random indy dev who got suddenly famous with no experience and 0 support team.

No. They're enough grown up to take care of themself otherwise they wouldn't still make games these days.

But they can create environments with the already existing assets.

Yes, and still SP lacks armour variety while MP receives new ones; already existing in the game or not, it does not matter to me.

I have no problems with people enjoying it nor I feel like a victim. I'm a disappointec customer who sees vile distribution of assets.

There is most definitely a tipping point at which throwing more people at it becomes counterproductive, whether or not Bioware is at that point, I cannot say.
