So....the broken arm problem is still there? I have not noticed it on my female elf, but that doesn't mean it's not there.
Male Elf model and its problems?

Yep... still there. I don't think it's much of a problem on female elves. It may be visible on all races and genders, but it is by far the most noticeable (and bad) on male elves. I'm starting to think BioWare will never change this...

Don't know if it's been posted before, but equipping and un-equipping the Mercenary Coat helps bend the arms outward. Combined with the Warden armour, the problem seems non-existent.
I'm trying Cheat Engine to get the armour early in game, preferably before Val Royeaux, to see how this goes.
That's perhaps the best looking male elf I've seen! You don't happen to have slider settings for him, do you? ![]()

I've given up on DAI and am playing modded Skyrim...
Here is my male elf...
Doesn't look like an elf. Doesn't he need a rail skinny body and broken arms?

An almost 8-year-old game has better male elves, in my opinion.

Ah, LOTRO. I was about to ask what game that was, but I saw the logo for the LOTRO store in the corner. ![]()

I've been thinking of playing LOTRO.
But yeah, not asking for bulky male elves. Just asking for unbroken arms and rigging. And the ability to wear our armor in Skyhold.
But I've given up. Since this problem seems apparent among the other races, though most obvious with the elf, I'm really doubting now that they'll fix it. They probably cut some corners animating and rigging, and now don't want to bother since no one 'important' is complaining and instead is praising the game.

On a more serious note, yes, BioWare is still ignoring this, and I don't think they'll ever fix it (curse the Dread Wolf!).

Alas... as the treacherous Fen'Harel locked up the Creators, he is keeping BioWare from addressing this problem!
Surely he has a hand in our poor elves' suffering!

As nice as it would be to blame the Dread Wolf, I think that's just unfair to the Dread Wolf. He'd do way better then this. xD

New here to the forums and just wanted to chime in on this. Hopefully someone is listening because it makes the male elf unplayable from a RP perspective. Just looks too ridiculous. I can't imagine that this would be so difficult to fix and it is a far larger problem than some of the fixes that they have already implemented. I'd really love to hear them at least acknowledge their awareness of this issue. Even better, it would be nice to hear that they have the intention of fixing it.

They won't, it's been months since and I am not sure they consider even this a bug.

Here, please look: Monsieur Progress in his disturbed glory

To me, he looks the same. Same old, spineless whimp straight from the spider momma's most erotic dream. Broken-glued arms are there. Nothing has changed.

I actually started over as an elf. I noticed that the armors do make a big difference indeed. For those with experience, can we maybe compile a list of armor types that mitigate this issue to some extent? Man I wish they allowed you to have some of the clothing presets that Solas has. Would solve the issue for the most part. Plus I want that backpack...Oh Bioware...

I haven't touched the game yet. Waiting for the team to fix it. I think that 6 months is more than enough.

If your m!elf is a warrior I highly suggest Tier 3 armor from the Hissing Wastes. Battlemaster armor seems to counter the noodly appendages of Captain Noodles.
It's the first thing I got when I reached Skyhold; rush through the hissing wastes, pick up Tier 3 armor and buy some upgrade parts incase my schematics were shite.
Here you can see his animations are still very noodly, but the shape of the armor compensates a lot:

There are terrible glitches during cutscenes but mostly it´s ok.

Yes, he's fine when his arms aren't glued to his sides. This is why I've not finished the game, nor am I playing, nor am I buying DLC until they fix that.
