And still having fun.

I don't know what is this comment about. Is it about having low standards and accepting botched products, about digital masochism or maybe some sort of 'flame bait'?

Six months past game release and one of the main races is still broken. BioWare indeed.

Erhm ... I wasn't speaking to you, actually.  I posted a cool picture, to describe my sense of pleasure in a character I'm enjoying a great deal, rather.  On a thread describing problems with that particular character model, in fact.  Sooooo...?

I don't remember saying you were. This is exactly why I have said that it seems to be a flame-bait. There are other threads where you can express your joy and pleasure about your character. This is not the one. Here we discuss how horrible, botched and totally unacceptable is male elf model. I have no doubt that some people would enjoy this model even if its legs were broken as long as its appearance was to remain the same (that is12 y old boy). But really, this is not the right place.

So you're the arbiter of appropriateness, in terms of character models, then?  See, this is precisely why *I* posted what I did.  Not to address you, but to assert that I enjoy the model more than not.  Hence, I'm "having fun".  And when the thread wants to persist, in claiming the model is "horrible, botched, and totally unacceptable", I think it's important to say I like it, rather.  If I want to play a buffy hunk of a character, there are other models to choose from, anyway.

I'm having fun with this one, such as it is.

Well, except those damn arms, lol.

I am absolutely fine with the male elves being skinny and slight. I don't think they look like children at all. This is not something that should be corrected.

The only problem that is a real problem is the arms being bent and sucking into the body during some cutscenes.

Still not fixed. They don't even consider this a bug, they are happy with their bent inwards broken arms crap. Elven body proportions only make things worse. Ugly crap.

How do you know that they don't consider this a bug?  I am choosing to remain hopeful that it is simply taking forever to figure out how to fix it.

I'd like slightly wider shoulders (but I think they are tied to the arms problem). I like the slight phisique, even if I would like sliglty more developed thight like Solas. I like the idea of a non-buff male protagonist, to break from the other races.

But the implementation leave quite a lot to desire.

I'd like it if male Elves shared the same body with Solas, I feel his body suits males better, but at the end of the day it's to do with the lore so I'm not complaining (that much) I just wish we could have facial hair! Oh, and have non broken arms, that'd be nice.

Again, again and again I will repeat it: this thread is exactly about 'those damn arms'. This is precisely why your screenshots and expressions of joy have no place here. If you are having fun with model with broken and glued arms then it is exactly a case of mentioned low standards and digital masochism. There are appropriate topics for such exercises.

They do look like children. but that is not not the topic. I have merely said that for some people, models can  have even broken legs as long as they look like little boys. As you see the focus is on 'broken'.

Fun fact: Solas is using PC model. He looks wider only thanks to his special armour.

You create clown-figures and post screenshots to describe how "horrible and utterly unacceptable" the entire model is, rather.  Along with assertions of how "spineless and wimpy" he looks.  My own screenshot presented the same model looking far better, however.  Both perspectives of the model should be considered here, if it's changing the model we're talking about here.

Because it seems to me the focus isn't solely on the character's arms at all.  That it's an insistence on changing the entire frame of the model, in fact.  Heck, the word pedophilia was thrown into the mix!  So spare me from your continued refrain how I shouldn't be posting here, thanks.  I just don't want to see the entire frame of the male elf changed, is all.

Most of us are not delusional enough to believe that they'd change the entire frame.  I'll wait for modders to fix what looks horrible to me, thanks.  If you like it, good for you, you're blessed by EA.

This thread is for broken animations (arms).  This is a bug that they are responsible for, and paying customers should have never even seen it.  I am sick to death of EA releasing unfinished games that are finally playable a year or two after release.

Yes, I do. Faces don't alter model issues. Oh, really? Let me quote myself 'Just to keep things clear. Last patch did not fix elvhes:' and I have posted broken-glued arms screenshota. I have commented his pathetic, whimpy body in a completely other post. Yes, please, refrain from posting off topic screenshots. This is a thread about broken-glued arms, I have confirmed it multiple times.

Male elf model is botched and should be fixed.

The screenie you're taking exception to came directly in response to complaints about "wimpy" body frame and "pedophile" commentary, however.  It was perfectly relevant a screenpic in response to THOSE comments, actually.  It isn't for you to tell me what and where I should be posting, in fact.

No, the screenie was an answer to all those people(above 'screenie') who asked about patch; fix for arms. I have answered you before posting 'screenie' and even there I have added 'side note' as in reference to their whimpy, child like bodies. It was not relevant at all. You have expressed your taste for this... kind of models before. There is no need to put them here again and again. It is in everyones interest to keep such an important thread safe from off topic.

Somebody write to Fox News, send them a screenshot of a male elf and Cassandra romance scene (you know the one), and say that BioWare is promoting pedophilia.

Maybe that'll get us some results.

If you are english native speaker then please do so.

I can as easily say to you, you've said endlessly your personal distaste for this ... kind of model.  There is no need for you to say so again and again and post pictures describing it.  However, it's in everyone's interests to post their thoughts and considerations of the character model, if it's changes we would like and what nature we want those changes to be.  So go right ahead and post to your heart's content.  I'll respond, with agreement or not as I see fit.

Basically, we're both "on topic" if we're both describing the model and whatever its problems are.  Or not, shrug.

Well you can but it would but unreasonable considering that we are currently posting screenshots after patches, for confirmations sake(about glued-broken arms). One  word: irrational. You can read the initial post and learn about what this thread is. It is definately not about your awe and joy coming from playing botched models. We exactly know what we want to be changed; glued-broken arms. It has been said multiple times.

Again, please read initial post. It is a thread about specific issue, contrary to what title may suggest.

Again, I've posted many times in this thread.  I posted one screen picture to refute assertions of "wimpy" and "pedophile worthy" body frames of the character model, rather, and I didn't attack anyone in the doing, only pointed out that I rather enjoyed the overall shape of the model, in fact.  You challenged the meaning of my screen picture and I answered you.

You want to ONLY address the way the male elf's arms hang alongside his body, keep your commentary to that singular issue maybe.

I don't remember any kind of refut' but I think that you have strongly reinforced.. well, mentioned assertions.

I don't mind small side notes alongside main issue, they don't steal as much space.

Well, at least Solas looks like a man.

As usual, it is the modders that fix the problems, not the developer.

I am curious though. What do you guys imagine a typical male elf would look like ? Short ? Tall ? Hairless ? Sparse hair ?

I prefer Tolkien-type elves or aos sí (the Fair Folk) to those of DA or ES. But since we have to stick with the lore in DA, my preference would be for elves with slim bodies (but not spidery!), finer features than humans, larger eyes of unusual hues, and of course the ears. I didn't like the DA2 elves at all, although some players are avid fans. So for male elves, slim or lean, but not scrawny. I guess I would prefer hairlessness to bad hair. But if good hair were an option, I would expect elves to have hair on their heads. The sentinels look stereotypically alien. All they'd have to do is make them green.

I'm not a fan of the "Greek Profile" they've been using since DA2, nor the elves with the completely squashed bridges (that one by the cave in the Hinterlands). Some of the elves in DAI more closely resemble my personal vision, such as Charter, Leliana's spy in Caer Bronach.

In my pictures of the elf body morphs, I think the muscular one doesn't look good. It's too bulky and resembles a human (see: male Hawke's ridiculously muscular biceps!). The standard and lean bodies are still slim, but have graceful proportions lacking in the original model.

It would be lovely if players had a choice of body types or could at least set some of the proportions for their own character.
