This may be a naivety thing (I am horribly naive), but a lot of the problems I've seen with bonus content are from the EA early access not being to get the stuff at the start, as they've played past it, or had it lose itself in the first chests etc.
It also makes me wonder how many PC players with the really big problems played (downloaded more) originally using a VPN? If they did, does this make the download they made act weirdly now it's back in their normal time zones? Also did they play before things like DLC content being added too? I know all too well that you can make a game that works on all of your team's computers and then find half the world outside those die from some weird bug/bugs.
Don't attack me over this, I actually thought it might help if people had the biggest issues were those players, as it could help the tech people out.
I'm quite easy to please really, as I go into these things with no real expectations of how it will be. That said, I know if I then couldn't play it at all, I'd be miffed, and not so much about money (haven't played it yet (UK), but I got quite stroppy when I thought the pre-order pre-download was confusing and made me worry if it would be on time or happen at all, so I can understand some of it all). However, all of the annoyance wouldn't bring me here to post across a load of threads; I'd post my issues in the technical forum, where it would appear they'd do good. Not so much here, as it really does no-one good to keep banging on about issues and arguing between the good and bad experiences constantly. I think everyone who had problems should be allowed to vent, but then it descends into fighting, which is just ugh.
The fact there are a lot of pc players who have no issues, and ones that sort their personal demons out themselves tends to suggest there is hope, or there is a weird reason for the bad experiences, in which any form of unemotive information could be the key. If people post saying they aren't having fun, don't splat them, as their experiences will probably be what makes it work better for everyone involved. Similarly, if they go on and on past the helpful stage, then ignore them, as it's probably helping no-one at all.
I'll just say again; I'm not being critical of anything, as reporting the problems is the only fix, and there should be space for that. If someone is outside the acceptable response type-thing, then find mulled wine, heat it, drink it and go sleepy before you reply angrily in turn.
People are going to hate me aren't they?
