Since the hair options in CC are so god awful, especially for the ladies (really ... like a dozen shaved head variations), perhaps the developers can give us access to some of the character's hair styles.  For example, the Morigan, the Cullen, Cassandra, ect.  It wouldn't be so bad if mods were on the horizon, but evidently, that is not the case.   Maybe the black hair can be made blacker as well, I have that short 70's feathered middle part flip on my lady, and it looks like a steel helmet (my settings are on ultra).

I would like to second this request -- I love the level of detail the the CC allows for, but I recall both previous Dragon Age games having better hair options.

1000x this. I've never seen so many variations of buzzcuts in my life. Even the most feminine looking hair has sideburns! Please for Maker's sake release a free dlc with more hair options.

Male Elves hair all clips and stretches out.  Seems like none of the hair in the game was made for them >_<  No mods though?

I remember some those grey concept art pictures and seeing what seemed like lovely - a smidge longer, braid detailed (still close the head, partially up. whatever) styles, I was so excited. 

 

And then, this. Look, I understand not everything is going to work in game. All I'm saying is I am one of those fools who will gladly pay for hair options. I don't care, shut up, take my money, etc etc.

I'd like to see more hair styles for female Quinari added.  The ones at the moment are not all that good.

I would pay lots of money for some decent lady hairstyles.  The 8000 shaved heads and re-appropriated male-to-female hairs are just not doing it for me.  Barring that, it would be cool if someone could figure out how to use the hair models from Josephine, Cassandra and/or Morrigan.

Yes, hair is awful in this game. It's even more blatantly bad when compared to how deep the other CC features are. You can spend hours making microscopic changes to your character's nostrils but there are only ten hair choices, and half of them are variations on shaved heads? It's 2014 bioware; please get rid of the hair helmets.

It does make me wonder if the hair file accidentally got omitted from the build when they pressed the gold master. Or the artist they had assigned to hair like quit halfway through the project and nobody noticed.  Its staggeringly, jaw-droppingly bad.

Yes, the hair options are bad. I think eventually there might be some smaller scale mods. I hope hair is the first thing we start to see show up.

Hey Bioware the Character Creator needs 3 huge changes and a few minor ones:

 

Go through the art assets for the Sims, get some hair models and put some decent textures on it.  I heard this company called EA makes the Sims so it might be possible to contact them and get the source.   I can only assume this is the end result of some lead designer's sadistic revenge on the players for always wanting various kinds of 'toggle helmets' options, so we technically have the option but the hair choices are so bad we would be compelled to turn it off.

 

The starting level is about 10-20x brighter than the character creator lighting.  I can only assume the rest of the game has the same problem.   The end result is that most hair choices are way too bright but you won't know that until you get out of the creator.  Which leads into the next problem:

 

There needs to be a way to export and import faces.

 

Eyebrow color should be separate from hair.  I could almost tolerate some of the lighter shades of red hair if the eyebrows were able to be made a shade or 10 darker.

 

Black hair is basically impossible to make.   The darkest hairs are brown and the darkest 'black' is a fairly bright shade of grey once you step into the tutorial.

I have to concur. The hair options are indeed poor and not to the same standard of the rest of the character creator.

Please, Bioware can we have some more hair choices.

Presumably Bioware thought that we wouldn't miss having decent choice for hair once we saw how cool it was to pick two different colours for our iris.

 

Sarcasm aside, in all seriousness, it shows a remarkable lack of either leadership judgment or communication between teams that we have such a disparity even within the character creator itself.

I can only agree, we need more hair options for most to the classes, especially long hair for the female characters.

The CC is in desperate need of better quality hairstyles that has braids, bangs and better looking ponytails. >:C *vying for a hairstyle that has proper straight bangs, please*

I agree 100%, the female hair options are really, really bad.  Stopped me dead in my tracks from making a female character.

The female hair and eyebrows are so absurdly limited and unappealing that I was honestly surprised. I was making my character on a stream and there were so many jail and caterpillar jokes going on that it was almost sad xD

2. More eyebrows - or rather, replace the 10 variations of BUSHES with actual eyebrows. Thank you.

 

3. A light switch for the CC. There is nothing worse than having spent ages in the CC to make the perfect character with beautiful subtle makeup accents, only to step out into the sunlight and see you have created the ultimate neon technoqueen. >.>

I just want some braided beards for human and for the beards to stick properly on the jaw of a human. Well, they could be sharper..

Seriously though, for such a great game with a high production value, I can't believe how absolutely atrocious the hair is.  The beards are extremely poor too, and so are eyebrows.
