So... I spent around 5 hours trying to make my character. (Don't judge me xD)
Every single time... the hair ruined it for me. I tried sooo hard to make it work for me. But when it wasn't the fact the longest hair option has a very manly sideburn... it was that I hate bobs and buns... and weird lil ponytails... D:
I also had a hard time getting my eyeliner to pitch black. Somehow... no matter what I did... it's grayish in game. >,< I believe the lighting of the CC really made it hard for me to create anything good.
Not to mention that if you make a goregeous ginger-red haired girl... when you get into game... >.> The eyebrows are like. Eye-blinding orange.
I actually didn't even play DAI the first day I had it. The CC made me walk away until the next day because ... even though it's extensive in certain aspects (eye color, makeup options, how to shape the face), it's very limited in others (hairstyles, eyebrows, eyebrow colors, all lips seem to be frowny with no fix).
And I could overlook it all if my inquisitor could sport some lovely locks. ;~; Please Bioware. I beg of ye. ♥
A humble request to TPTB for some hair options

I was waiting all this time to finally play as a qunari (after they were sooooooo amazingly awesome in DA2)
Then finally got the game after 3 days hassle with the black screen i finally managed to get the game running and started a qunari female...then ditched it after reaching hair "options" seeing theres only ME3 Jack, ME3 Jack with 2 horns, ME3 Jack with 1 horn...
Seriously ?
Then started making a human female, they had at least 1 good hair choice (the short layered anime-ish boycut) but where are all the bobcuts from DA2 ?? I realized i wont even be able to re-make most of my Hawke's !
After 7 attempts of creating a female human who's not having a pitbull mug tho i gave it all up.
Just gone with a male Chigurgh whom i succeeded creating at first attempt and im coin-tossing my way to the end, while i wait for Bioware (or preferably the moders) to start dispensing some hairstyles that actually makes me want to play this game more than 1 time

^agree with all posts.
also I don't understand why the npcs get the nice® hairstyles. Eg Josephine Montilyet has a similar hairstyle to one in the CC but with some more curls which looks much better. Why make the player choices worse?

Let's not forget about the males here. I can't make a good looking male Elf because none of the hair styles were designed for male elves and it shows.

Jack had cooler hair. She had a pony tail and it didn't make her forehead look bigger.

Seriously why are the hair styles so bad? What happened with these renders previously released?
I'd pay for the DLC tomorrow if it included these ...and a mirror a la Black Emporium to change PC face. It may sound silly, but I used the mirror in DA2 to change F!Hawke's hair at each stage of the game ...like she was maturing over the 10-year span.
Really added to the RP.
If they could add some "romp around the castle" clothes that didn't look like Quizzy was escaping from the looney bin ...that would be EPIC!!!
I mean seriously, those medals and buttons look like they were meant for straps on a long jacket.
We won't even talk about the way those drab beige rags makes my poor F!Quizzy elf look like a spider demon when she bops up the steps.
Won't spoil it ...but there's another specific instance where a gown would be nice ... ![]()
So ...in short ...*getting on knees, little hands out stretched* ...(insert groveling platitudes here)... for the love of the Maker ...just take my money and give us some DLC ...soon ....please ... ![]()

I really don't understand the buzz-cut options for female hairs. Is it so hard to create a few variations on short hair - braids or buns? Even Mass Effect hair was better, and that is saying something! Sad when the hair for DA:I is a step back from other releases.

I second this over and over. Even as a free DLC if they won't allow us to mod the game ourselves.
I'd love more GOOD hair options for both genders, and especially for the Qunari. Their hair/horn variety is so abysmally minimal, I mean, what's wrong with having our hair down, most of them are shaved cuts...

I also support this idea. DA:I needs more hairstyles, badly.I spent hours and hours (literally, don't ask for specific number because you'll get scared
) creating my character and hair was one of the biggest problems I encountered. I'm surprised that hairstyles are shared between men and women and they're just stretched out to suit particular head without any other differences. One hairstyle I liked a lot but ended up not using on my female was the small ponytail hairstyle - the problem is that the hairline on the forehead looks like on old samurai. It was weird to see women with hairline like that.

Others are not really better. A lot of shaved hairstyles. The thing is, I like women with shaved hairstyles but these were not really suited for women. The current hairstyles are typical for men. I wish the female versions were more adjusted for, well, females. Some parts should be longer and more fancy instead of just brushed to one side. Here's a good example of quite nice hairstyles that follow current in-game style but are also more feminine:

Also a lot of people are saying that there's so many short hairstyles to avoid clipping with armors. If that was true then there wouldn't be ANY long hairstyles in game. But there already are 2 longer ones and they don't clip (I guess) so... they can just keep the same length but add more variation to it. Dear Bioware, I really hope we'll see some new things in CC as a part of DLC or Expansion ![]()

I support this as well. Both my male and female characters usually have long hair in fantasy games. I actually enjoy the fact that there are so many short haired options, but they aren't being complimented by an equal number of long haired options, so it feels like someone didn't finish their job in time. I can understand that maybe it just wasn't viable to work them into the release in time considering how late into Development CC must be, but an after development update, some free options for people later on and another mirror to change to them? That would be great. Unfortunately, looking at the size of this thread, I really doubt this idea will get much traction. I originally wanted to create an account to post on the PC problems thread but nothing I said hadn't already been said, sometimes far more eloquently. Unless this idea gets some traction, it's probably not going anywhere.

If anything is added as a mod, I really hope hair is the first! Some of the sculpted models hairs released as concept early on were fantastic. Truthfully though, there are static hair design options they could add that are already in game on NPCs that at least would add a bit of diversity to the CC. I really loved learning to create mods for DAO. I'd be beyond happy if someone figured out how to manage it for DAI also, although I do understand the difficulty in this case. But if I could change ONE thing outside of hair... it would be the elven bodies. I'd just swap out for another body (they reuse animations anyway I believe so it shouldn't affect much).

I don't even need long hair- I get it, it clips, whatever, I've moved on, but at least make the short hair presentable.
Is it too much to ask that I want my quizzie to look sort of pretty?
She's got enough makeup options to make it look like Thedas has a Sephora, but couldn't she have a salon too?

There is only one normal hair for females, another - longest - has horrible sideburn. Ive picked it once to try out, my character looked to bad and felt too masculine i rolled a different one. And another decent hair is a pixie cut, but its too short! I dont think its very difficult model-wise to elongate the pixie cut, to make it better.
My hawke actually had a long hair and a fringe, like Charade. The only hair with a fringe is really bad and not worth using.
And why so many buzzcuts!
Anyway, more hair and a mirror a-la Black Emporium please. Ill even pay for them.
Also its really weird that Morrigan's hair is still best in all three games.

I too would like more hair and especially as there are going to be very few mods for hairs and armours I would like to see Bioware releasing a lot of dlc with these included. I would also like a mirror of transformation as mentioned in other threads.
Oh and more ladies eyebrows, there aren't many non bushy ones there and when you raise the height of the eyebrow the eyebrow stretches and becomes hairier and wider which is really weird.
Oh and a face morph pack for Blackwall, I just can't handle his bushy face, that's just not my thing, I can handle bulls horns but not hairy faces. (Sorry Blackwell, no romance until you shave!)

Ya, I would like my Quizie to look like that
It's a lot better than most in the CC I only use one or two of them because most as either buzzcut or just look too manly or just plain weird
Ya I would pay for a little more variation in hairstyles/ eyebrows (only one or two look, good on a fem Quizzy)
and real black hair/ eyeliner not the grayish one
Pllzzzz Bioware can we get this or maybe even something like the emporium from da2 would be nice too
