yeah some of the items are free from cerberus network, but the preorder bouns armours, dragon blood armour and collectors armour are free but only ment to be avaliable to people whom have the codes

Nope, they are not
you can get them only if you buy a specific copies from specific retailers or find a promo code in a dr. Peper and so on... and you get only 1 item not all of them

 This is actually pretty interesting, considering what MS managed to do with the RTO dlc. 

Screwing up once is bad.

Screwing up twice is simply malicious.

Apparently they've all been taken down now, but ive heard some people are able to get collectrs armour still.

Agreed, a not so subtle attempt to sabotage the cerberus network portal, MS must be pissed that EA have provided their own network rather than using Xbox live.

Question - is it theoretically possible BioWare could patch it so as to block the DLC from working if you log into your account from within the game, and it sees the permissions aren't there? Or is that impossible, and the login can only ever function as a lookup list for what to allow you to download, not what to allow you to use in-game?



I mean, if someone got one of the armours they weren't supposed to have, but there are a couple they're entitled to have. That person will have to log into their Social accounts through the Cerberus Network option, in order to download what their accounts say they're entitled to. There's no way BW can make it so doing that messes up any extra stuff gained through this error?

as did i and a few of my friends i told about it.... makes up for being shafted with needing multiple copies to get everything and no dr pepper tie-ins either. FYI i'm still getting 3 CE copies of the damn game - 2 on 360 and PC version.

it's possible but is it worth the hassle? and it's an MS screwup anyway, not Bioware's or anyone who DL'd them's.

^i am sorry screw up or not there is no way to justify piracy, kudos to 360 users out there though. MS makes them pay for EVERYTHING i think they can have some free armor....

no-one is justifying piracy. i am TOTALLY against piracy and would never pirate anything - and this is nothing of the sort. why should we be screwed out of in-game items because we live outside the US? or have to buy multiple copies of the game to get all the different armour sets? as i said i am buying multiple copies of the most expensive version of the game, i think i deserve to have all the available stuff.

I'm all for free stuff but I'm a bit ill about this, me being a total nerd about all things Mass Effect I pre-ordered from two different retailers to get Inferno and Terminus, and on top of that one of my pre-orders is a CE so I could get the collectors bonuses, so yeah I'm assuming there is a validation stage for the DLC or at least that's what I'm telling myself to not be as pissed about the DLC leak on live.

Although this might be true and I don't hate them for taking advantage of this MS screwup, it's still a bad thing because these items were meant to only be available from 'special' promotions (like the dr. pepper/preorder stuff) or exclusive to the CE game. There wouldn't be quite so much ruckus over this if it had been a random set of items not yet linked to any promotions.
