I've been to the Hinterlands, The Storm Coast, and the Fallow Mire. The following 2 are much smaller than the first is, and I was under the impression that there would be 8 areas the size of the Hinterlands, along with some smaller ones. I figured I'd run into the second large area by now, at 23 hours in, but no luck. I hope to not end up disappointed.....

I haven't played yet but the devs are saying that the Hinterlands is a medium sized map and that there are larger maps in the game.

Western Approach, Exalted Plains, Hissing something-or-other, and Crestwood are all closer to the size of Hinterlands than the latter two. Storm Coast and Fallow Mire are atypically small.
