I have done this in the other two Dragon Age games and was pretty happy with how it worked out. Any reason why I wouldn't be able to pull this off in Inquisition? Just seeing what people think.

Will let you know of my experiences here later, I have just begun (only level 4) and I will be trying to run a 2 x Sword&Shield warrior setup with a ranged rogue and mage as backup. The idea is Companion warrior to tank boss/elites etc. and then me to charge the target to dps down with rogue and mage set to Follow my target.
Based on the abilities I think it should be possible since a lot deals a lot of weapon damage in percentage. The question I am uncertain of is if the difference in base damage between two-handed and one-handed become to large, if that is the case then the great sword and shield offensive warrior from DAO will have died with that game. But it is all dependent on base damage of late game weapon if you go by abilities I think.
